No, just dump her on a chair for her husband to come and deal with. I often roll my ankle, and sometimes it is badly sprained, and I have a tendency to become faint with that sort of pain (pathetic, I know 😏) but I would be mortified if, in that situation, I was given more than a chair and a bottle of water until there was time to dream with me personally and help me out to a taxi. There had to be limits to how much inconvenience one person can cause so many others!

london wont be able to handle much more than 9-11 million people. its infrastructure will require major renovation to go beyond that. New york has a little more than twice the population & it struggles with its massive subway which is over twice the size. Many of the tunnels & stops are still the old Victorian shells, with modern amenities, but its the shell that was made for hundreds of thousands, Millions were not even a pipe dream to the original engineers, hell there were wooden escalators not too long back in the underground, they were removed in the last few decades because the fire hazard & other obvious draw backs..

I appreciate "one small slip up" can delay everyone, and safety is a priority, but come on.... Just for dropped Oyster card on a track you gotta disrupt everyone on that line? Going a it far ain't it? Passengers are for safety reasons, but the staff are experienced. They know all too well a slip up can shock them on the tracks, so they KNOW to be careful up front... so that gives excuse to proceed does it not? I would have at least tried as a passenger anyway... Better than causing havoc for 30 minutes. I don't think commenters are even away for these things. And honesty, i don't think they care.. They just want there belongings now.

Booze causes too much misery for us to be chuckling. I hate it. I would rather have people walk around medicated on cannabis. Cannabis users don't puke or pee in public, and we don't start fights. Cannabis does not cause anti-social behavior. In extreme cases booze causes sexual assaults and severe violence. Not to mention booze damages organs and causes an early death. Cannabis is non-toxic and calming, and has 1,000s of medical uses. Cannabis is legal where I live now. it is! I have been a bouncer at multiple clubs for the past 5 years. You have got to have a ridiculous amount of patience, and a good sense of humour when it comes dealing with 1000's of drunk fucks every night.. lol

Years ago I made my first trip to London from the US, and a London Underground customer service rep was very helpful patiently explaining how to get from my hotel to the theater and back as well as the times that the last trains would be at the stations. I was impressed.

    "casualty"

Lol...complete night and day compared to the NYC Subway. I must say having rode the tube, it’s really amazing compared to what we New Yorkers deal with daily! Great work to those dedicated Tube employees!

There's a third rail on the London Underground which is electrified. You can image what might happen if someone stepped on it while it's live.

Not only are their power rails, even with overhead line obviously you still have a 100+ ton train moving into the station any moment.
