Something I don’t think a lot of people have picked up on: Not a SINGLE one of the troopers on the second attack shuttle was a TK, they were all clones. I think Wolffe survives this because his troopers are loyal enough to him as a clone to not contradict his report of, essentially, they escaped because the operative interfered.
That was my thinking about why Wolffe's men didn't turn on him. He's probably a fine commander to them and they will be loyal to him and his values. He'll have some questions to answer when he returns though.

I like how symbolic it was that Crosshair was fighting his literal demon. Howzer saving him as well was also a nice touch. And our boy Wolfe still has his heart of gold thanks to Plo Koon.
The Shadow Operative it's focusing on has to be Cody. He vanished and was said to have gone AWOL. They wouldn't let a Clone of such prestige go to waste, so they would take him, condition and program him, and force him to be an assassin and secret operative. It works as a narrative point, since Cody was doubting the Empire the last time we saw him, and he even started the snowball that made Crosshair decide to leave the Empire. It coming to a head between Crosshair and Cody probably at the end of the season and his helmet coming off to reveal him, probably as he dies, makes too much sense to me.
Yeah like…vibroblades have existed for thousands of years, and the clone troopers mostly have the same training. It’s not exactly weird to think most of them know their way around a vibroblade
I'm sorry but the whole "Vibro-Knife" schtick is a rather weak point. Of course an Assassin Trooper is going to have a powerful knife for close quarters combat. We know that The Bad Batch has Vibro-Knifes as well as quite a few Mandalorian carry them. The CX Clone carrying the Vibro-Knife is absolutely no coincidence. I will say that if the "Winter Soldier Tech" theory is the strongest, then Cody is my secondary, however, the Vibro-Knife is nothing to go off of to form a strong Theory.

M-count is about midichlorians. That's Force stuff. I'm pretty sure with Order 66 and the rise of the Empire, this sort of information should've been censored and purged from all publicly accessible Imperial records. Jedi had no reason to discuss this sort of thing with their clones in the middle of a war too. I think it's possible for Rex to find out what's M-count, but he doesn't know which direction to be pointed.

When it comes to the stun setting on blasters I always imagined it to be like tasers IRL, an electric charge forced into a body does short-circuit it but unlike a machine the body can reset quickly yet the mind will take a while to wake from an unconscious state.
They are giving this Assassin a lot of screen-time, and they also showed that he survived the fall. This convinces me even more that, that guy is a brainwashed Tech!
I’m still waiting for anyone to explain to me how Cody makes any narrative sense at all as an option. It’s like when people were swearing up and down that Ezra or Barriss were Marrok. Like, sure, Barriss was at least technically possible, but it never made any narrative sense to even consider that. Just wishcasting.
@@jasonmarbach Because The Bad Batch worked with Cody in the past, Crosshair got his mind to begin to change once Cody told him about making our own choices, and the Empire knew he was going AWOL so they must have acted on it and captured him and turned him into a Clone X assassin. Plus, Rex is traumatized by whatever happened to Cody in Rebels, so this season would be the perfect way to answer that question of what happened to him.
Just remembered that Wolffe contacts the empire to tell them about Kanan and Ezra in rebels, so i dont think he will end up turning on them in this show considering he still has some degree of loyalty to them by the time of Rebels
Well not loyaty really. He did that in Rebels out of fear of the empire, and also out of fear that Kanan would want revenge. Hence why later he regrets it, and with Rex and Gregor was willing to sacrifice himself for the Rebels.
I can forgive the couple animation bloopers because this show is so damn good. The animation and lighting alone is impeccable, so a missing blaster here, a floating helmet there, whatever, this show and especially this season is fantastic.
The only reason I don't think it's Tech is the voice; the modulated accent is closer to the Regs, or Crosshair. Tech speaks with a more 'British' type of accent which this operative definitely doesn't. A Crosshair duplicate would be interesting as a nemesis for him, but I think as others have suggested it could be a previously named clone.

I think it's kind of poetic that we have three clones with various degrees of defectiveness from the Empire here. Howzer, who defected a long time ago, Crosshair, who just joined the resistance and Wolffe, who's just now realising smth is wrong with the empire. They all have different things that made them tick, but it shows that the more attrocities the Empire will commit, the more people will turn against it. Palpatine's system was doomed from the start.
I would've thought that Crosshair's shaky hand was a result of his defective failed shadow clone operative conditioning. From what I've heard from fans that they think the operative might be Tech due to his wording & that unlike other operatives, this one has antenna on his helmet. I was surprised to find out Wolffe is still part of the Empire, but I'm curious as to what will finally cause him to turn, and how he becomes a bit more paranoid like how he was in Rebels
Whilst I truly wish for the assassin to be Tech, I believe that if anything the trooper would be Cody. His tone is lower than Tech's which fits with the one we hear (yes this is considering the voice modulator), not to mention that Cody has the prowess to make the shots seen as well as the CQC when fighting Crosshair. It would also make sense for the idea that people want Cody to get redeemed by Rex or have a redeeming moment to save Rex. If Tech were to be alive, I'd prefer if he were to have been fully captured by the Empire and forced to either work on Project Necromancer in a more technological manner OR is purely locked in a different area one more secure in the base. If nothing else he could be held captive in their medical bay post his injuries and could be used as the final "Give me the girl or I'll end your brother."

I think one of the x-wing novels mentions that starship grade ion blasts can completely fry a humanoids nervous system, effectively killing them. Something about the passive dangers of going EV mid space battle I know stun blasts convulse every muscle in your body, literally just a taser but with better range and effect I guess.
I really hope that is Tech. Because then there is a double meaning (and a deep meaning) to when he says, "you had a chance to be one of us." When fighting Crosshair. He could be meaning an assassin soldier for the Empire like him, and he could also mean a member of the Bad Batch. Such a nice touch there if it really is Tech. It has to be either Tech or Commander Cody. Those are the only two I will accept.
I love every episode of this show....but it's episodes like these that get me hyped! I woke up at 6am, and usually I struggle a little to stay awake and watch the new episodes. This morning, I was wide awake after realizing what kind of episodes we were getting.
How orgasmic it was to see so many clones again... and the end of the 7th gave me goosebumps with Wolffe and Rex. But it will be sad to discover that the ghost clone that is chasing them is tech!!! It's very obvious... the truth is, two spectacular chapters...
I could be wrong, but my main two suspicions are Cody and Tech. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s either of them because so far, we don’t know what’s happened to Cody. All we were given was that he had gone “AWOL”. However, we haven’t seen him with Rex or the rest of the clone coalition by this point. Knowing how close those two were throughout the Clone Wars, surely they’d have to make contact at one point unless one of them is deceased… well, then again, Rex is KIA in the archives 😅😅. And given the PTSD episode Rex went through in SW Rebels, something happened to Cody. So what if there’s a joint operation episode and everyone sees it’s Cody? I could be wrong of course, just my thoughts. Tech…. I can see it happening as well because Hemlok said all he found was his goggles. He could be lying to Hunter and found a badly injured Tech and from there, easily brainwash him into the shadow program. He’s got good reflexes with Force 99. Again, just speculation and we’ll find out soon enough!!!
In less than a generation the jedi go from the protectors of peace and justice in the galaxy to myth and legend.. State run media and the active suppression of information is a powerful thing. Hell yes the emperor can and did absolutely delete every reference. And if you try to Holinet search for terms like M-Count, Jedi, Midichloran, you would end up on an inquisitor shortlist immediately.
I like how the empire decided to split factions of clone up to try to avoid them from meeting other factions of clones like Rex or Cody, so when it comes to commander characters like Wolff, i like that he did not turn right away to Rex's side, but will now question the empire ever time he does something for them. (great to be character development for Wolff ) Exciting times. (hopes and dreams) as much as i wan to believe that Tech is Dead and not coming back, the evidence is there too much that the current shadow clone is Tech for example when we see Crosshair looking through his thermal scanner at the shadow clone we see the legs are cold where the rest of the body is warm (as in the fact that the shadow clone had lost his legs ... like as in a great fall from a great height or something) and had robotic ones put in place. Then again we also dont know what happened to Cody he may also be a surprise to us that he was taken to Tantiss and was brainwashed with Ramparts tech to be made into a shadow clone .. or Cody might have just gone off to live on Tatooine and may be we get a surprise connection to Obi Wan and Cody there (similar to a side story with Ezra and Obi Wan and Maul) that would be a GREAT side story to see Cody in!!! who knows, exciting times ahead!
Not gonna lie, I almost think that the Shadow Clone is a clone of Crosshair. Crosshair said himself they tried to make him one and it didn’t work, so maybe they made a clone with his blood. The way the operative talks in a slow manner like Crosshair and is defiant like a Bad Batch member, not to mention that he is an obvious sniper on top of that.

I just thought of something about the Shadow Troopers. Could they be Phase One Purge Troopers? Because we do know that Purge Troopers were all clones working for the Inquisitors. Just a theory.
My idea of the operative is either tech or cody. Since he disappeared after his and crosshairs episode together when he disobeyed the imperial officers order to execute tawni ames. It could be a stretch but who knows. Maybe tech couldn't be turned like crosshair couldn't. We'll see soon enough!
Is it an animation error or following in the footsteps of the Stormtrooper that bonked his head in A New Hope? Solid two parter that's ramping up the season. 13:50 if that is Tech, he's on track to be the Wile E. Coyote of Star Wars with the number of falls he's taking.
The focus on this specific shadow operative makes me think we would know who they are. Two plausible theories floating around right now are either Cody or Tech. Cody is “AWOL” according to Rampart at the end of season 2, episode 3, so we could presume that the Empire got to him and brought him to Tantiss. The other option being Tech, simply because we didn’t see a body when he met his end, and as we know, if there isn’t a body, we can’t say for certain that they died. One other small detail, I doubt Wolff would know Echo as to my knowledge, the two never interacted.
Glad I wasn't the only one to notice that animation error/blooper with Wolfe's 'Imaginary gun' XD But my guess for who the Clone assassin are: 1) Commander Cody 2) Someone else we've seen before 3) Tech
I'm not saying this means anything, but the music during the clone sniper scenes sounded very similar to the soundtrack of Winter Soldier 👀You know, who "died" from falling off of a train... If nothing else they're definitely messing with us on purpose 😂
This is pure speculation, but I'd guess stun blasts are just toned down ion blasts. A full strength ion weapon would probably just completely fry a humanoids nervous system, but stun is weakened enough to just knock somebody out without permenant damage
A part of me also holds out that one of the shadows would be Tech. But then I remember what Crosshair said that being defective made if so he couldn't be conditioned. Tech being a defective clone is probably just as likely not to be reconditioned and made a shadow, so I've lost that hope. However I still think Tech is alive somehow. Maybe living like Tarzan on Eriadu.
As much as im skeptical about the shadow operative being Tech, one give away i picked up on was when he fist fights crosshair, he says " you picked the wrong side" i mean could that have been in relation to the batch itself? also listen closely to his voice when he speaks to wolffe, He speaks fairly simillarly to Tech. Like im seeing alot of people saying oh its Cody, but that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever, Rampart was instantly tried for the destruction of Kamino, Hemlok was already doing his own thing at that point so the two of them crossing paths is super unlikely, considering Hemlok is working on the project and Rampart just a general commander it wouldn't make sense for Hemlok to pick up Ramparts pieces being hidden in a secret installation. I really don't buy it being cody at this point.

Since you can see the donuts it must be another form of plasma, just like blasters and lightsabers. Since it's not a laser it travels much slower than light and therefore can be dodged, unless Greedo is sitting across from you at the same table, because that's just dumb. Since we know sound waves can affect the human body perhaps the plasma donuts are oscillating at a particular frequency to cause disruption. I used ultrasonic weapons in one of my novel to stop people by making them vomit and become disoriented.
the only thing i dont like about the bad batch is that in rebels, rex seems like he eventually just gives up and goes into hiding, so all the clones hes rallying either die or something happens to them
The resistance to stuns that the Shadow/Operative troops have might be armor based. They could be geared in some of the first Zillo Beast hide engineered armor.
Commander Woffe, fireball, Nemus, Rex, Cody, Bly, Fives, Echo, Thorn, Howzer, and Doom and I love Clone Troopers and I would be Commander Doom and these clone troopers deserve so much better!

This is not at all new. Also, if you really listen to the cadence and delivery, this shadow agent’s voice changes over the course of eps 6 and 7 to gradually sound more and more like Tech’s delivery.

I love how crosshair knew his aim still isn't up to the task, but you don't have to be as accurate with an explosive.

I was surprised to find out Wolffe is still part of the Empire, but I'm curious as to what will finally cause him to turn, and how he becomes a bit more paranoid like how he was in Rebels
Whilst I truly wish for the assassin to be Tech, I believe that if anything the trooper would be Cody. His tone is lower than Tech's which fits with the one we hear (yes this is considering the voice modulator), not to mention that Cody has the prowess to make the shots seen as well as the CQC when fighting Crosshair. It would also make sense for the idea that people want Cody to get redeemed by Rex or have a redeeming moment to save Rex. If Tech were to be alive, I'd prefer if he were to have been fully captured by the Empire and forced to either work on Project Necromancer in a more technological manner OR is purely locked in a different area one more secure in the base. If nothing else he could be held captive in their medical bay post his injuries and could be used as the final "Give me the girl or I'll end your brother."
Not just Wolffe's pistol is missin at 16:45 there is a clone whose whole body is missing between wolffe and the commando clone the floating helmet 😅😅😅😅
I think one of the x-wing novels mentions that starship grade ion blasts can completely fry a humanoids nervous system, effectively killing them. Something about the passive dangers of going EV mid space battle
I know stun blasts convulse every muscle in your body, literally just a taser but with better range and effect I guess.

I really hope that is Tech. Because then there is a double meaning (and a deep meaning) to when he says, "you had a chance to be one of us." When fighting Crosshair. He could be meaning an assassin soldier for the Empire like him, and he could also mean a member of the Bad Batch. Such a nice touch there if it really is Tech. It has to be either Tech or Commander Cody. Those are the only two I will accept.
The 2nd shadow trooper is tech case in point you see how he pulled down his eye piece just like tech .

I love every episode of this show....but it's episodes like these that get me hyped! I woke up at 6am, and usually I struggle a little to stay awake and watch the new episodes. This morning, I was wide awake after realizing what kind of episodes we were getting.
As far as the Cheerios are concerned, they best work when part of a balanced breakfast.
How orgasmic it was to see so many clones again... and the end of the 7th gave me goosebumps with Wolffe and Rex. But it will be sad to discover that the ghost clone that is chasing them is tech!!! It's very obvious... the truth is, two spectacular chapters...
I could be wrong, but my main two suspicions are Cody and Tech. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s either of them because so far, we don’t know what’s happened to Cody. All we were given was that he had gone “AWOL”. However, we haven’t seen him with Rex or the rest of the clone coalition by this point. Knowing how close those two were throughout the Clone Wars, surely they’d have to make contact at one point unless one of them is deceased… well, then again, Rex is KIA in the archives 😅😅. And given the PTSD episode Rex went through in SW Rebels, something happened to Cody. So what if there’s a joint operation episode and everyone sees it’s Cody? I could be wrong of course, just my thoughts.
Tech…. I can see it happening as well because Hemlok said all he found was his goggles. He could be lying to Hunter and found a badly injured Tech and from there, easily brainwash him into the shadow program. He’s got good reflexes with Force 99. Again, just speculation and we’ll find out soon enough!!!

I like how the empire decided to split factions of clone up to try to avoid them from meeting other factions of clones like Rex or Cody, so when it comes to commander characters like Wolff, i like that he did not turn right away to Rex's side, but will now question the empire ever time he does something for them. (great to be character development for Wolff ) Exciting times. (hopes and dreams) as much as i wan to believe that Tech is Dead and not coming back, the evidence is there too much that the current shadow clone is Tech for example when we see Crosshair looking through his thermal scanner at the shadow clone we see the legs are cold where the rest of the body is warm (as in the fact that the shadow clone had lost his legs ... like as in a great fall from a great height or something) and had robotic ones put in place. Then again we also dont know what happened to Cody he may also be a surprise to us that he was taken to Tantiss and was brainwashed with Ramparts tech to be made into a shadow clone .. or Cody might have just gone off to live on Tatooine and may be we get a surprise connection to Obi Wan and Cody there (similar to a side story with Ezra and Obi Wan and Maul) that would be a GREAT side story to see Cody in!!! who knows, exciting times ahead!
Not gonna lie, I almost think that the Shadow Clone is a clone of Crosshair. Crosshair said himself they tried to make him one and it didn’t work, so maybe they made a clone with his blood. The way the operative talks in a slow manner like Crosshair and is defiant like a Bad Batch member, not to mention that he is an obvious sniper on top of that.
Crazy theory. Those mystery clones were modified with Crosshair's DNA.

I don't think that's Tech. I have a very strong suspicion that's Cody because of the vibroblade. It's the same one Cody used in that one episode.
Yeah, we know Cody left from the most untrustworthy imperial officer we met ^^ there's high chances he just got caught by the imperial security and turned into that thing

I just thought of something about the Shadow Troopers. Could they be Phase One Purge Troopers? Because we do know that Purge Troopers were all clones working for the Inquisitors. Just a theory.
My idea of the operative is either tech or cody. Since he disappeared after his and crosshairs episode together when he disobeyed the imperial officers order to execute tawni ames. It could be a stretch but who knows. Maybe tech couldn't be turned like crosshair couldn't. We'll see soon enough!

Solid two parter that's ramping up the season. 13:50 if that is Tech, he's on track to be the Wile E. Coyote of Star Wars with the number of falls he's taking.
The focus on this specific shadow operative makes me think we would know who they are. Two plausible theories floating around right now are either Cody or Tech. Cody is “AWOL” according to Rampart at the end of season 2, episode 3, so we could presume that the Empire got to him and brought him to Tantiss. The other option being Tech, simply because we didn’t see a body when he met his end, and as we know, if there isn’t a body, we can’t say for certain that they died.
One other small detail, I doubt Wolff would know Echo as to my knowledge, the two never interacted.

But my guess for who the Clone assassin are:
1) Commander Cody
2) Someone else we've seen before
3) Tech

I'm not saying this means anything, but the music during the clone sniper scenes sounded very similar to the soundtrack of Winter Soldier 👀You know, who "died" from falling off of a train... If nothing else they're definitely messing with us on purpose 😂
This is pure speculation, but I'd guess stun blasts are just toned down ion blasts. A full strength ion weapon would probably just completely fry a humanoids nervous system, but stun is weakened enough to just knock somebody out without permenant damage

A part of me also holds out that one of the shadows would be Tech. But then I remember what Crosshair said that being defective made if so he couldn't be conditioned. Tech being a defective clone is probably just as likely not to be reconditioned and made a shadow, so I've lost that hope.
However I still think Tech is alive somehow. Maybe living like Tarzan on Eriadu.
As much as im skeptical about the shadow operative being Tech, one give away i picked up on was when he fist fights crosshair, he says " you picked the wrong side" i mean could that have been in relation to the batch itself? also listen closely to his voice when he speaks to wolffe, He speaks fairly simillarly to Tech. Like im seeing alot of people saying oh its Cody, but that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever, Rampart was instantly tried for the destruction of Kamino, Hemlok was already doing his own thing at that point so the two of them crossing paths is super unlikely, considering Hemlok is working on the project and Rampart just a general commander it wouldn't make sense for Hemlok to pick up Ramparts pieces being hidden in a secret installation. I really don't buy it being cody at this point.

Since we know sound waves can affect the human body perhaps the plasma donuts are oscillating at a particular frequency to cause disruption. I used ultrasonic weapons in one of my novel to stop people by making them vomit and become disoriented.
the only thing i dont like about the bad batch is that in rebels, rex seems like he eventually just gives up and goes into hiding, so all the clones hes rallying either die or something happens to them

The resistance to stuns that the Shadow/Operative troops have might be armor based. They could be geared in some of the first Zillo Beast hide engineered armor.

@@christopherstanfield1558voice modulators exist and have been used in Star Wars since nearly the beginning (dating back to Return of the Jedi with Leia in Jabba’s Palace, at least) to try and withhold character identity from the audience for the sake of reveals. This is not at all new.
Also, if you really listen to the cadence and delivery, this shadow agent’s voice changes over the course of eps 6 and 7 to gradually sound more and more like Tech’s delivery.
