as a canadian i IMMEDIATELY knew the hard one. we really came together as a nation to get him into the all star game in 16 with the fan vote. hell yeah
Without the WBC filter, I actually would have gotten the first one, but he's been out of baseball for so long, I had no idea he was playing in the WBC.
Can we have a theme of bottom dwellers? Guys who only played for teams who never sniffed playoffs (ex: Cutch, Carlos Lee, Mark Teahan, Willi Bloomquist)
My Dad is American and I'm Canadian. I've cheered for the States in each rendition of the WBC because I've had the connection and always appreciated and loved being part American. But this year it's a tough one. A guy I played ball with as a kid, RJ Freure, is in the Canadian pen- and im freakin torn lol. I'll probably stay with the States as my pick to go all the way but cheer for Canada and see what these boys from the North can do
4:05 Dude was probably the second most OP player in MLB Power Pros (Alex Rodriguez was a cheat code). Side note, that game is way better than it has any right to be.
I was excited when I saw a 2013 Mariner, because that's the year I got into baseball as a Mariners fan... but then I couldn't couldn't figure out who it was. And then they said the name, and I still didn't remember him. I was thinking about outfielders that year, and I remember Jason Bay, and Michael Morse, and Endy Chavez, and Franklin Gutierrez, and Raul Ibanez, and freaking Abraham Almonte, but Michael Saunders played more than any of them and I didn't remember him at all. What the hell.
It took me the longest to get Cespedes. I can usually get easy and medium and struggle on hard, but as a Phillies fan I immediately recognized a dude I thought was going to be good bc of his random final vote AS in Toronto but got midway through the year.
How about a theme around Jorneymen, players who have played for like 10+ teams? Could go for easy ones like Kenny Lofton or harder ones like Matt Stairs. Could be fun to just throw a gigantic sheet of stats at them every time because of all the trades and movements between teams for players like that
I forgot we kicked Dice-K out of AAA before he became completely terrible. He was supposed to be brought up before the All Star break but the Ubaldo Jimenez got ungodly hot for the stretch run and Cleveland dumped Dice-K, I had him going bad in Cleveland when I first saw the stats. But damn that brought back decade old memories
you should do a theme where you hit “show” on the minor leagues for guys that moved around a lot between call ups or signed multiple minor league deals
couple more for the road: just the pitching stats for position players who got multiple relief appearances, just the hitting stats for hall of fame pitchers.
YES! I’ve been waiting for this one. Guessed Leonys Martin for whatever reason on Hard but redeemed myself on the trivia round Edit: a theme idea, 2 for 1 on each round, guys that together before getting drafted (Arenado/Matt Chapman, 2 Vandy guys, etc.)
I look forward to Dan's 'hard' wordplay each episode
Best part
It’s hard not to
as a canadian i IMMEDIATELY knew the hard one. we really came together as a nation to get him into the all star game in 16 with the fan vote. hell yeah
"Captain Canada" I think we called him
idk how correct this is but I have a memory of him getting something ridiculous like 99% of the vote
I'm from Seattle and I was SURE it was Smoak.
Yup, took me 2 seconds and then I got to laugh at everybody struggling
I knew it only because I'm a Mariners fan. I almost feel proud for beating BBD, but I'll have to pull it off with a non-Mariners before I do.
Max Mannis always astounds me. Dude is a genius
This was my first ever 0-3. And I’ve never had a 1-3. I feel like 2018 Michael Saunders right now.
Jolly off screen going “not if you played ball, bruh” 😂😂😂
Great RefGuess today, especially with Michael Saunders at the end
Without the WBC filter, I actually would have gotten the first one, but he's been out of baseball for so long, I had no idea he was playing in the WBC.
4:04 Dalton with the Power Pros shout, hell yeah
This series has me absolutely psyched to pay attention to baseball this year!
I'm 44-14 thru 58 questions, 2 easys, 4 mediums, 7 hards and a very hard missed. Pretty happy honestly.
Players featured in a Jomboy breakdown as a possible theme
Can we have a theme of bottom dwellers? Guys who only played for teams who never sniffed playoffs (ex: Cutch, Carlos Lee, Mark Teahan, Willi Bloomquist)

MLB Power Pros was elite, immediately thought of it too so glad someone said it lmao
Jolly : "Not if you played ball, bro!" GOLD!
I'm proud of that Michael Saunders pull, Phillies legend
I’m a massive Phils fan and I haven’t even heard of him 😂
Someone wasn't watching during the dark years 🤫
I don’t have an idea for another episode. Just want to say I love these videos and wish they were more frequent. Keep it up!
Next Ref Guess: Players who have only played for teams that are named after birds
Attempt #2 at asking Mr. Olive for an episode about players who played for 2+ of the 3 bird teams. Please sir?
Feels so good to get the hard one right, never forget the Condor
FANTASTIC episode!!!!!!
Well done Jolly, well done.
4:05 Dude was probably the second most OP player in MLB Power Pros (Alex Rodriguez was a cheat code). Side note, that game is way better than it has any right to be.
it's honestly incredible how knowledgeable Max is when it comes to refguess
I was excited when I saw a 2013 Mariner, because that's the year I got into baseball as a Mariners fan... but then I couldn't couldn't figure out who it was. And then they said the name, and I still didn't remember him.

Good grief everyone struggling and Max just instantly knows hard mode. Insanity
Absolutely love this series. “Great job” -Joez voice
Got the last one in like 15 seconds because I live in Ontario and watched the player hit a HR in a game I went to during his All-star season
Sometimes you get the Medium and miss the Easy and are like "What are you doing with your life?"
It took me the longest to get Cespedes. I can usually get easy and medium and struggle on hard, but as a Phillies fan I immediately recognized a dude I thought was going to be good bc of his random final vote AS in Toronto but got midway through the year.
I got Daisuke also because of MLBPP!!
same logic as Jimmy i got Matsuzaka in 2 seconds. dont know anything about his career, but that era spoke to me
Cannobio really trying for that Roman ad once he transitions it to the Hard round
How about a theme around Jorneymen, players who have played for like 10+ teams? Could go for easy ones like Kenny Lofton or harder ones like Matt Stairs. Could be fun to just throw a gigantic sheet of stats at them every time because of all the trades and movements between teams for players like that
did that already
Shoutout MLB Power Pros, one of my favorite baseball games that most people have never heard of lol
I blew myself away with the Michael Saunders guess. This might be your best one yet, Jolly.
3/3 and funnily enough i was stumped on saunders and for some reason as soon as jomboy said michael morse it clicked somehow subconsciously i guess
Mariners Legend, the Condor Michael Saunders. Easy W this week. 3/3 and then 3/3 again. Call me Jordan with 2 different 3-Peats.
But damn that brought back decade old memories
i'll take BBD against the field on this game in general
Players who played internationally at any point (NPB, KBO, etc.) could be an interesting ref guess
“That’s a generic white dude” is hilarious!
You had some challenging ones on there. The trivia was good.
I have no recollection of Michael Saunders in a Bluejays uni. Thought he was a career Mariner
I knew that Cespedes was first, but I COMPLETELY FORGOT he was ever in Detroit.
Dalton really should be a television character
I was shocked that Adam Jones wasn't the outfielder for the trivia question
I guessed Franklin Gutierrez for the hard one, remembered him being injured a lot for Seattle
Yeah my first thought was Guti but then I saw the Jays and the 2016 AS and then I realized it was Saunders
U might have to take my baseball fan card but I had no idea who Michael Saunders was haha
Dang it! I got all but Yelich at the End.
i knew the first one from jolly’s mets videos
Your hard choice was a good challenge, I love these videos.
When are we going to have another one of these?
This is the first one where I knew every single one and I got them immediately. Great feeling 😂
Michael Saunders was hard. Tried to go off that AS nominee but he slipped through the cracks forsure
Trade deadline darlings. Guys who have been apart of multiple trade deadline deals
Max is a freak for that last round
Glad I found this channel
Thought for sure the hard one was Franklin Gutierrez
I got the first and third ones super easily but got stumped on the 2nd one.
3/3 on normal guess and 2/3 on the final boss
MLB POWER PROS
I really thought last one was Franklin Gutierrez
3/3 this round. Let's go!
The best show not on television.
I can’t believe anyone else played MLB power pros!
Bringer of Snow
If your gonna ref guess for spring training. You should do it off of their spring training stats
Doubt me all you want but so far I'm 55/57. Only been stumped on Gabe Kapler and Brandon McCarthy.
Players who have won a World Series with multiple teams theme
as soon as BBD said justin smoak i knew it was michael saunders
59 walks and 157 strikeouts is on another level bad
Why is Michael Saunders in a Rockies hat if he never played for them?
I felt like Matt Mannis. Got each one instantly
I need Lucas’ trucker hat
Why can’t they bring back MLB Power Pros
Do like all WS MVPs but from the 60s or some other random decade
you should do a theme where you hit “show” on the minor leagues for guys that moved around a lot between call ups or signed multiple minor league deals
could also be fun to do one where you ONLY see college/international leagues for guys that would be obvious otherwise like bonds
couple more for the road: just the pitching stats for position players who got multiple relief appearances, just the hitting stats for hall of fame pitchers.
Yay Lucas!
YES! I’ve been waiting for this one. Guessed Leonys Martin for whatever reason on Hard but redeemed myself on the trivia round
Edit: a theme idea, 2 for 1 on each round, guys that together before getting drafted (Arenado/Matt Chapman, 2 Vandy guys, etc.)
I'm timing myself:
Easy (5 seconds) ✅
Medium (2 seconds) ✅
Hard (31 seconds) ❎
Jomboy runs a baseball channel and doesn’t know dieske was a met. Unreal
Got daisuke really fast
How about players traded mid-season to a division rival
first 3-0 in a while! sometimes it pays to be a Jays fan
Mannis should be barred from this game, lmao.
You should do coaches kids
Why was the last one in a Rockies uniform if he never played for them?
He signed a minor league contract with them, was invited to spring training and then released
@@AhGotcha Thanks
Clicked on the video bc I thought the dude talking on the top was Bauer
Max is the undisputed GOAT
For the algo
MAX!
37-0 is kinda sickening lol
Man. Mt first 2 x's. 😔
Hard was the easiest one for me for some reason
Alot of short ish careers
Have 0 clue who the hard was
Easy trivia
MLB POWER PROS YOOOO
37-0 ffs
👍
