I have 3 full bookshelves of vhs, dvds, etc. I organized them by collection: Marvel has a full shelf in chronological order. Same with Harry Potter, Star Wars, Dragonball, Doctor Who, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. Then Halloween, Christmas, etc. Followed by stand alone movies separated by genre pretty much. We keep Berserk on the same shelf as the Manga though.
My blu-ray/DVD collection is nothing to write home about but I do have a game collection. I order them chronologically, so the games top left are the first games I bought for that specific system. That way I have a cool timeline of what I played and I actually know it pretty well. I just have to make a trip down memory lane and I know where the game I’m looking for should be!

I hate to say this cause it took a long time…but Personally i think it would look better if your movies were alltogether shifted down a couple shelves so the empty shelf space is towards the top. Cause as it stands it looks a little too top heavy and weird. Then you can put knick knacks and whatnot on the top shelves. Anyway this has been some random persons interior decorating tips. Thanks for the video I definitely have some movies to watch.
Great collection and completely agree physical media is my choice as well. I have about 3,000 titles and do not have any streaming service!!
I got so many recommendations from this, dunno where to start. Someday I wish to get a collection like this, for now I keep my Dvds in bins
Forgot to mention, a while ago you made a tweet about the movie descent, and inspired me to watch it. I absolutely loved the film, maybe my favorite horror of all time. Amazing characters, amazing score and scenery, lots of tricks and creative ways of resuing the same few sets, a genuine sense of claustrophobia with crammed sets and the lighting was done perfectly. Like I could swear so many times it was filmed in a real cave haha! Also the philosophy and messaging of the descent i actually found to be incredibly similar to berserk. Both very Nietsche. Sarahs husbands saying "love each moment" to me in a way feels like the subtle theme of the movie. Also the hallucination sequence where she is climbing over the bones and reaching the top and leaving the caves is genuinely one of the most beautiful sequences i have seen in any movie, and the imagery reminds me of ubik's mindtrip manipulation session with griffith during the eclipse with the piles of corpses. Would love to have the OST for that moment playing at my funeral.
The original UK ending is beautiful and the american ending is garbage.

It's actually titled The place beyond the pines was filmed in my city Schenectady new York it's about Schenectady new York & infact I got to meet all of the cast get pictures of me with the whole cast & I hanged out with Ray lottia eva Ryan Bradley Cooper the whole cast & I was able to watch them film it as well very amazing movie

t is the typical length of time that needs to pass before disk rot sets in?
@@TheZestyCar depending on conditions and media type it can start as early as 15 to 25 years, that would be with humid conditions and if the disks were used alot. Under perfect conditions it should start til about 70+ year.

relly good collection man i have mayby 500 movies and 150 steelbooks two steelbook i recomend captain america civil war you can only buy it at ebay and buy there is a cool novamedia edition of terminator 2 is a lenteculair slipcover on it that is moveble case and a nice steelbook with picure and a book of the movie but it cost à LOT 80 dollar mayby 110 dollars but it worh it one of the coolest i have seen great fucking video man 👍👍👍🤪
