Dear Calvin, yesterday I won my first YGO tournament in goat format with my deck Chaos Turbo, I’m very happy for that, thank you so much for your videos I learned to play this deck in this page. Kind regards from Queretaro Mexico!
Round 5 game 1. You started with Swords, acknowledged that you forgot to side deck out the swords and continued to play instead of scooping for a instant game loss. Game 2, you summon solider and he torrentialed, his monster should have went to the grave. Game state is on both players.
Was a little curious about the play in the first game, where you knew about desserts and trio face down, and summon an extra monster before you heavy storm, any reason you did that before using the heavy first before summon? at 1:40 . Not a big deal, but looked like a free 500 extra damage from the desserts in my eyes
Against the cat burn I think if you break one of the radiants, you end up taking less damage overall by 200. Not sure if you still win by the end of that match. But you survive the ring at least.
@@T-Ret1990 honestly the answer was set Torrent to avoid all the damage but being at 200 is insanely scary anyway against cat combo because you’re like one Panda or Desserts away from dying anyway
@@Calvin-YGO brooo i was there… i just move here from mexico and i was looking stores to play goat format and in another store told me to go there to C.E.. i only stayed like 2mn to get information, sadly they dont have a regular day to play goat. Rip
40:30, breaker shouldn't be banished. On the side note, based on his plays, it was a solem and probs should have mst-ed it before he summoned the mobius. In situations like those, I like to think "can I afford him to negate/do w/e is coming. 47:36 Ballsy move. I'd probs go with mst the prema, set mof pass. Seems more conservative, but it payed of to ya.
@@Metalicss Yeah I got distracted cause one of our friends signed Joaquin’s card and I wanted to see but it wasn’t super impactful. Tbh I think Mobius is an AWFUL side into most Turbo lists and I never expect to see it past game 1 and I don’t really like blinding MSTs personally so that one was like “well he had it”
@@Calvin-YGO Just finished the video, and edited the comment a bit. I'm not even sure what the double Mobius guy was playing. Seemed like some mix of warrior monarchs, he didn't even have Don. The MST part, you didn't read it that it was a set Solemn? In one of the previous plays, he was thinking about negating one of your previous plays (yea, it could have been the bluff but still).
@@Metalicss About the second timestamp, I would rather pitch a light to grave to get the CSorc out to regain tempo, the only thing I'm worried about in that game state is Snatch and I have the answer. MST to pop Premat would have been okay if I had a spell in grave that was worth grabbing with it but since there wasn't there was no need to do so especially since it could have been punished by the Exiled that he summoned.
Am I mistaken or you could in round 5 final game normal zombyra try to crash into BLS or in that case that he ring you you had thunder dragon and dark why didn’t you summon BLS banish his a continue?
Round 3: i was thinking, is it really so hard for your opponent to announce the phases? i would shark him so bad, just waving hands and swinging cards throws me off so bad. But great video, as always.
@@radian1048 Lol if it weren’t a homie I’d absolutely want them to clearly announce their phases but Joaquin is one of the people I look up to and I understand where he’s at and stuff
The last guy should've been dq'ed. Plays with clearly marked cards. I know you are a nice guy, but it's not wrong to call judges, when ppl are obviously cheating.
@@Calvin-YGO I played this game competetively for 15+ years. Just check how his Trinity cards are bent to the top on the left and right side, his Ring is bent on 3 corners, his Monsters are all bent on the top left corner and his other Traps are completely flat. He always knows what kind of card he will draw next. That's a common cheating method used for years and years. Sorry bud, but you got cheated off there. You can especially see it at 1:06:48 how his top cards of the deck are bent, so he knows what is comming next. A tip for the future, when you play against these shady opponents, ALWAYS pile shuffle their deck, after their first shuffle. When they search their deck, take good attention that they don't stack their deck. You will see, your results will be better and you won't get Potted 2x in a row turn 1.

Weekly dose of GOAT incoming!
Legend has it he's still verbally declaring draw phase and stanby phase when going first.
