The difference between "This card cannot be used as a Link material" and the current restriction is that you still have to get it off the field. Which is still not that big of a deal for what it can do, but still better restriction designe imo.
Magia better get a fucking reprint I swear to god. The decision to make it QCR only in the TCG is maybe top 3 worst decisions Konami did for the game in 2024.

Aleister, Asteria, Samsara D. Lotus, or any other normal summon that doesn't lock you into anything can be normal summoned with your first normal summon. The extra normal summon may not look that strong but it is and if you can't normal summon Sage because your opponent did something with your field spell because of the way the deck is designed it isn't the end of the world when it happens. The deck could easily play through 3+ hand traps before these 3 cards were shown and now I'm confident that it can play through more than 3 Fiendsmith or no Fiendsmith. It can be a little bit neggy but you can use Sages' effect to target Maiden and then Maiden of Whites effect triggers and the 2 effects special summons Blue-Eyes and 1 level 1 tuner. Essentially my point is the deck has so much going for it that it can't not be tier 1 on release. When you can think of the stuff that being able to special summon almost any out of archetype normal summon can do I would say that its more than mediocre. Neo Kaiser has lines where its a 1 card combo. The worst case scenario for Neo Kaiser is having to send Maiden to grave instead of Blue-Eyes Chaos Max. Having the ability send normal Blue-Eyes to grave with field spell turns Neo Kaiser into a 1 card Spirit Dragon. The level Modulation from Neo Kaiser can give us Bystial Dis Pater and the Double hand rip from Omega if we add in some chaos lines. Which would also make summoning Hieratic Seal easier. Ripping cards alone can be enough to make them pre-emptively negate Dis Pater and playing Branded Regained will make it so that they don't get the card back and put Bystial Dis Pater back on the board if they manage to hit you with Nibiru. So its very likely that any card banished by Omega will not be coming back.

I played blue eyes in highschool in 2017 and used the blue eyes field spell back then. I’d take a blue eyes level 8 plus a tuner and make spirit dragon, transform spirit dragon into ancient fairy, search the field, then summon another tuner and use the ancient fairy plus the tuner to go into crystal wings. It also splashed chaos max so I’d usually end on crystal wings plus chaos max. Was pretty decent back in 2017
The link-1 can be made with Blue Dragon Summoner, who searches blue eyes when sent to tje gy. The sea horse already does something similar but I don't know if this will make it more splashable

I think it's more for going second and here's the combo : normal summon kaiser ->link into spirit -> get mausoleum -> extra normal summon maiden and get the burst stream -> use maiden effect to place eternal light and SS vanila blue-eyes-> use the burst-> SS spirit in white -> tag into ultimate spirit????? somethin like that IF didn't get negate at all
M.O.W is a pretty good card gives you a free dump and if you have maiden you can use her effect to special summon a blue eyes and dump one kinda making the trap live for a pop two.

Mausoleum actually did see some play a little later in 2016/early 2017. Mauslolem plus sage made crystal wing plus add another field spell. Also loaded your grave with 2 blue-eyes.
I'm asking myself if it could be a kind of plan B for white forest. You go on Asteria. Asteria is target by whatever you want when activating it effect then move to the dragon link 1 and then mausoleum and you can continue your combo if you have another spellcaster in your hand. I think this should be interesting if WF/Blue eyes can work together. The white deck xD

I don't like the crimson dragon version too much because of the bricks but it probably works with 12 starters lol. The link 1 in dlink does not make it too broken but it is more flexible for being so generic and having that arrow. The synchro 9 cheats out AFD for another field and if you got sage or even an extra veiler you can go for crystal wing or any level 8 synchro and use whatever field spell. Minimum bricks required. Btw, did I mention that the spell and sage can search veiler? On the other hand, Centur-ion might enjoy the AFD turbo thanks to the new synchro primera, getting you a way to Stand-up and emblema oath. Accel stardust into stardust in your opponent's turn is also underrated as it makes your field unnaffected and counters common meta threats like yubel and fire king. Going back to the magia turbo decks, the illusion of chaos package is probably better than running chaos max even though there is an easy way to foolish it. If you don't open illusion of chaos or magician soul you can just I:P into S:P or Apollo
Blue-Eyes might actually be a decent deck choice for meta pick... The new support makes the deck less bricky now, and that's actually good for modern legacy support. Now, have you discovered Exodia Runick yet...?

You could just play this in dragon pile deck, just go 3 sage with eyes of blue, 1 maiden, 1 blue eyes. Normal sage search maiden (or veiler lol), make link 1 get field spell, normal maiden and special blue eyes from deck by targeting maiden with field spell. You can make romulus if you play 2 link 1s, have a light lvl8 if you wanna make the light and darkness fusion, and can play apple dragon. Idk if its better than black metal tho
Um the video you just watch was starting with a Kaiser seahorse which is a brick btw normally you would always go with sage as the normal summon plus you would normally have way more negates tbh not just magia the end board ends with like 4 synchros
the combo shown isnt the highest it can go. but based on testing it out for myself this combo is more accurate to what you can get from a more consistent build. the higher ceiling play involves ancient fairy dragon, accel stardust and regular stardust. but that build, while having a higher ceiling for the turn 1 combo, also has much less followup if broken and is a lot more interruptible with cards like nibiru, due to it taking space in the extra deck and playing bricks like "burst stream of destruction" .
Opponent: "Standby phase?" "Main phase?" "End of main phase?" "Battle phase?" "Crash spirit?" The reason Puppet lock is cringe is it gets thrown in defense on your turn and even IF you get it off the board you still can't play. It's why it's more obnoxious than say Ra's Disciple which you can Dark Hole to remove the lock if push comes to shove.
Blue eyes is probably Not gonna play Magia, After some testing you trade some pretty neat layered interaction + protection as well as consistency due to the necessary bricks for JUST Magia
I don't think the primoredial cards help blue-eyes much. Getting Blue-Eyes White Dragon in rotation isn't a problem for the deck already. You can get like a pop and/or a negate but that's stuff you have to draw into. It's not like primoredial helps access the Blue-Eyes part of the deck either.

Many who max rarity a lot of lower tiered decks still Magia too much but total cost isn't like the worst is all I will say.

@@justice8718 well labyrinth traps don’t but yeah it’s ridiculous to have a monster that can activate 3 in one turn and be turned into another monster that can do the same but I have to wait a turn for a mediocre effect and hope it can be activated before it’s destroyed

Did anyone EVER expect this new support to be anything but garbage? I mean seriously, it's blue eyes, the deck is pretty much a meme by now for being an absurdly overhyped deck that sucks ass even though getting tons of support waves over the years.
I'm happy that Magia is so expensive, this deck is so toxic, it shouldn't be easily accessible

@@ASoldierify I'll elaborate. The deck, thanks to the link 1, now has multiple 1 card combos that end on unbreakable boards and they're not even fun boards to interact with, it's just a bunch of omni negates.
