Ok so.. BEFORE freaking out : YES I am aware that we also have great vocalists like Will Ramos & Alex Terrible but I wanted to start with the OGs. Also, there will be more than 1 part, because we're lucky enough to have MANY great vocalists in our scene. And YES I know Waking The Cadaver are technically not considered Deathcore but I don’t care 🤘🏻🔥
Mitch is completely overrated Adam is not bad but not a master vocalist Don is okay but got known for pig squeels and memes Scott I will agree with Phil 100% #1
He was leagues above the competition. Waking the cadaver were made fun of when they debuted. Whitechapel were ok but lacked musicality, carnifex just never seemed to be able to write anything notable. No contest.
I would definitely go for: (No order) 1. Phil bozeman 2. Mitch lucker 3. Steve Marois (despised icon) 4. Edie hermida (all shall perish) 5. Jonny davy (job for a cowboy)
I really feel that Jonny Davy doesn’t get enough love, he helped me find the genre before I know who Mitch or Phil were and I’ve met bot Jonny and Phil
1. Phil Bozeman 2. Ben Duerr 3. CJ Mccreery 4. Darius Tehrani 5. Dickie Allen 6. Ben Mason 7. Alex Teyen 8. Tyler Shelton 9. Alex Koehler 10. Adam Warren 11. Tom Barber 12. Ricky Hoover There's many more but these are some that stand out the most to me without thinking to much about it
And this list is what a fresh core fan says, not disagreeing with you, CJ (will always be one of my personal favs) and Will are fantastic and miles ahead of many other vocalists but Phil, Mitch and Scott just pave what everyone else aims to be
@@PunKtuRed_Jazz my bro. im listening to deathcore since the my space era. Phil is great u are alright but i dont like Whitechapel's new sound. Scott is good too, nothing special for me.
1. Mitch Lucker (suicide silence) 2. Phil Bozeman (Whitechapel( 3. Scott Lewis (carnifex) 4. Dickie Allen (Infant annihilator) 5. Tom Barber (Chelsea grin)
👽❤ it really means a lot. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for the support for over 20 years 🤘🏼 growing stronger and stronger every day! #shreddedwheat
Thinking to myself Mitch has gotta be on this, seeing him as the first entry crushed my soul harder than I thought it would, I still regret never making it to a show when he was still around
How did I know this would end with Bozeman. Legit a visceral wretch is playing on my TV as I watch this on the toilet lmaooo the breakdown is coming up
The Adam Warren love brings warmth to my heart. He’ll forever be my fav Deathcore vocalist. Depths instantly had me hooked and brought me into Deathcore! Such brutal vocals and his highs on Depths were disgusting!
Some great picks you have there. If we're specifically talking older bands, I would also include for consideration - - Brooke Reeves (Impending doom) - Nate Johnson (Through the Eyes of the Dead & Fit For an Autopsy) - Frankie Palmeri (Emmure) *Love them or hate them, the dude is talented. - CJ McMahon (Thy Art is Murder)
Man bro Adam's scream really gets me and don's energy makes me reach a state of intense peace. These guys should try out to be oprea singers! They have such different and unique singing styles
I really like fonts with crossed Ws, I don't know why, it may be my autism. But can someone please tell me the font for the second vocalist, Adam Warren.
Amazing interview, dont usually watch these but had to. Seeing you interview bec from terminal sleep, i had to subscribe. Great questions, and all around good interview. Where can i find the bonus questions at?
My hot take is, I always liked this style more then the mondern day styles. It felt more distinctive. Not saying the new stuff is bad but, theres a beautiful rawness to the OGs of the vocal olympics.
I saw Whitechapel about 14 years ago when I was 16 (I live in nz so good metal bands are rare) was super intense in a small area they came with trivium
Not sure if these guys should make the cut for GOAT but they're all solid vocalists for sure. Not sure I could ever narrow it down to just five myself, but I'd have to throw Mark Poida and Dave Simonich on there. And, of course, CJ McCreery, despite his...side quests
I remember a time when White Chapel were predominantly an Instrumental Death Metal Band.. now look at them, number one contenders for top 5 death metal vocalists.
Ok so.. BEFORE freaking out : YES I am aware that we also have great vocalists like Will Ramos & Alex Terrible but I wanted to start with the OGs. Also, there will be more than 1 part, because we're lucky enough to have MANY great vocalists in our scene.

Phil 100% #1
No apologies needed my brudda, it had to start somewhere 🫶🏽 rip Mitch ☹️
just saying Ricky hoover should've been here for what he's done in the pass and now.
Great List!!!
Eh. Alex terrible is very mediocre. Nothing about him stands out. I do fuck with the masks and some songs tho. Will is pretty good tho no lie.
Mitch Lucker will always be deathcore most influential vocalist
RIP
I like him but idk about that
He was leagues above the competition. Waking the cadaver were made fun of when they debuted. Whitechapel were ok but lacked musicality, carnifex just never seemed to be able to write anything notable. No contest.
The music wouldnt be what is today without Mitch R.I.P
Mitch is deathcore's forefather!

JFAC isn't deathcore lmao but okay

Devin Duarte my fav to add in same list. Or to put instead of Adam
1. Phil 2. Mitch 3. Dan Watson 4. Adam Warren 5. Alex Koehler. They shaped deathcore into what it is now.

Adam from Oceano has done sooo many guest vocals for so many bands. Probably more than any other deathcore artist. I’m happy to see him on your list
finally a real list!! waking the cadaver is one of my favorites
This shot sounds so good love❤❤❤
Cannot disagree with any of this, golden age vocals
For me Dickie Allen is king!
truth the originals better than the rip offs, you could buy expensive lego or cheap knock off lego, i definetly go for the real deal
How did I know this would end with Bozeman. Legit a visceral wretch is playing on my TV as I watch this on the toilet lmaooo the breakdown is coming up
Definitely agree with you Mitch Lucker will always be the most influential death core vocalist ever! He was amazing 👏 RIP 🙏🏻

Mitch Lucker, Adam Warren obviously. Don Campan unsurprisingly. Scott Lewis is a good pick and of course Phil Bozeman
Oh god this all took me back these guys are the ogs of deathcore. Glad i got to see Suicide Silence with Mitch
I'm more of a death metal and grindcore kinda guy, but Mitch has always been my inspiration with vocals
Mitch rip man I wish we could have heard new stuff from you over the past decade. Wonder how his sound would’ve evolved 💔
been hooked on Lorna Shore lately...Will Ramos is incredible and of course the rest of the guys!!

Second time mentioning this: i saw the despised icon vid and I did find a way to listen to the og version of their first album
Hell yeah. These are the og’s of the time
Love that he but the Mitch memorial video for Phil's spot

Phil killed those vocals on unanswered, but mitch is what made that song one of my favorites to this day

Phil bozeman's rendition of unanswered is by far one of the greatest deathcore performances ever. That alone staples him into deathcores HOF.
