    The landscape is absolutely stunning. The animals are grazing off the land. The area is so well manicured and green. How are these areas kept looking so good? The people surely take pride in the appearance of the land.

    Really fantastic video and pics! I’ve been to South Tyrol before, but never in autumn. The golden larch trees are really stunning in autumn. I’m planning a trip in late October 2023 and several places in your video are on my itinerary already. I hope to have some clear and sunny weather!

    Gorgeous scenery and loved the cable car, I would have loved a ride in that. Great hike and I loved the reflections on the lake at Largo Di Braies, real dramatic snow covered mountains there. I like to do some wild swimming but tend to stick t the warmer summer months to be honest. Some amazing drone footage and a very enjoyable watch, cheers Alan

    • @OliOutdoors

      We got there for sunrise, can't remember what time but very early. There were a few photographers on the near side taking photos but hardly anybody anywhere else. When we got back after walking around, the sun was up and it was heaving, wouldn't want to visit during the day, very early morning is the best time.

      @OliOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thegiftedone2 I didn't get permission, I never say any signs saying not to, so I'm actually not sure if the rules. I'd advise checking before you fly, I'll be checking next time and following the proper rules. I was very respectful and usually didn't fly anywhere near people for safety reasons. Thank you

    Very beautiful shots! Did you get around by car? wondering if there are alternatives to renting a car

    • @OliOutdoors
      @OliOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we rented a car from Milan, was easy to do and means you can get to places early before the crowds. Any other forms of transport would mean you'll be there with lots of other people which (in my opinion) spoils the experience.

  • @ilirfazliu7817

    Great video. Thanks for this. But could you explain us the itinerary a bit? You drove to Ortisei, left the car there, rode the cable car to Alpe di Siusi then hiked to Sassolungo. Did you hike all the way to St.Magdalena? You certainly didn’t hike from there all the way to Tre Cime di Lavaredo, did you? That’s 83km. A more detailed explanation would be much appreciated

    • @OliOutdoors
      @OliOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apologies for the lack of detail, it takes along time to edit these videos and couldn't put the time in to add all the details. You are correct, using the car we parked at the cable car, got the cable car up and hiked around then drove to the different church's, we were staying close to Magdalena church, we visited in the morning but the light was not great so went back close to sunset and was much better. We parked at the car park at Tre Cime, and walked the long walk round the other side, very accessible for an able bodied person. Renting a car is a must I would say, coaches and taxis could be used but to get to these places before the crowds, its essential to be able to set off early and get there before it gets too busy, especially for Lago Do Brais, close to sunrise it's beautiful, peaceful but once the crowds get there it's alot less peaceful and the light ruins the shadows.

    Will early November be a good time to visit Dolomites for light trekking (no hardcore hiking)? Will it be too snowy?

    • @OliOutdoors
      @OliOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm actually unsure myself, we went around that time and it was fine, you could always take some microspikes just in case it's icy. It's so much quieter out of season and that makes it a much nicer place.

    im from south america and been in the rockies and the andes but the dolomites are in different level with stunning mountain range they look like straight out of a fairy tale. ive been all over italy and italy and japan are my favourite countries in the world, question i have do they have private plane flights to fly over the dolomites because i have bad knees to hike. italy is a living museum its the number one country to go before you die. i hope some stories of bad tourists are band from italy its too beautiful to let these morons go there.

    • @OliOutdoors
      @OliOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks for the comment and watch. I'm not sure about plane flights, but alot of these places you don't need to hike to as they are very accessible from the road, especially places like Lago Di Brais, get to these places early to avoid the crowds and you will have to great views to yourself.

    • @OliOutdoors
      @OliOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Driving was easy enough yes, and parking was OK if you got to places early. We also went in October which was out of season which made it quieter so I can imagine it gets much busier in summer.
