    Filled with excellent one-liners
Talking about Len Konar: "...considers himself an expert in corporate governance. Don't know if he still does."

I hope the speaker starts a pod-cast, he has integrity, is after the truth, actually cares, find an excuse and start podding with local interest. Die Pa van die huis is absent to an extent and you among others have wisdom, like a father of sorts I feel we need more of this cutting through the BS in this Dark Night.

I don't understand everyone's problem with the effective tax rate - the fs contains a note that reconciles the effective rate with the SA statutory rate. In Steinhoff's case, the bulk of the difference was due to different rates in other jurisdictions, which is not unusual for multinationals. The reason I snubbed Steinhoff, was its fast growing debt. It also appeared to consolidate entities that did not qualify for consolidation & wondered what the fuck is wrong with either (1) the dozens of CA's among their boards, committees and auditors, or (2) my own understanding of consolidation criteria, haha.

Thanks for an enlightening lecture,; especially referring to auditors and SA money flowing offshore. (sort of understandable, seeing the ANC's economic policies!)
To the video operator.... how about showing the screen... just a bit of it?? (Maybe switch-off the tracking or is it a subtle hint to buy the book? ;) )

What ANC policies is responsible for SA money flowing offshore and how do you explain American companies where there's no ANC govt doing the same?
