Very userul but Akadama is So expensive and only available in one size in the UK. Pumice is the same only one size available . I have seen red volcanic rock for sale but again you have to take what they have . I have no ideawhat sparkle G is. Al that said the visuals do give a good idea what sort of consistency to aim for with alternative materials. I measure the time taken for water to drain through test mixes in a 3 inch pot and record the volume retained in the mixture ...I aim for about 11 sec and 40% retention

Is it easy to get those soil components? Akadama is extremely expensive here in the states and lava rock is hard to find with the right size.
Nice! How often do you water? I water once a week, but I feel like I need to water more often. I live in zone 8a. Our summers get to 100f.

I don't water them aafter potting. I usually water them after 10 days.

It is not fertilizer, it is a fungicide called Starkle G. I bought it from Thailand.

hi mam mas marami po kasi nareretain na water ang organic materials. pwedeng magcause po ng root rot sa hawo pag masiyado nababad sa water. :)
