Have you stopped and thought about how the extra weight of the cupholders and the weight difference in the grills may affect performance? My misses wanted a firstaid kit in the boot of the bmw x5 40d incase off cuts and grazes. I threw it straignt out.
It definitely wants some felt tape on the sides and bottom of that cup holder, if nothing else to stop it rocking with a heavy drink in it but also will stop it rattling
@@GeorgeAustersno, they’re not… I don’t have AC (never saw the point in a soft top) and therefore no condensers. I can reach the front of the rads with a vacuum nozzle and remove any accumulated grot that way.
Porsche engineers had never designed a perfect Porsche, if they did Porsches would be the best cars in the world and would not be plagued with mechanical faults I doubt the grills would make one iota of difference to a 26 year old car that's never going to be driven hard in old age.
@GeorgeAusters because it's fake drama, it gets repeative, to the point people turn off and nobody like to be told what to do. I've had a boxster from new , I didn't need to do the mods you had in your video. The car ran just fine. I like the BMW videos, I'm looking forward to project KFC rebuild, i have a rear shut 123d that needs repairing and a 118d that needs an engine swap, there's some content for you.
@@gedd6750 If you don’t install these grills then you’re just have to constantly clear the leaves out from the radiator pack. Sourcing parts for KFC and then need to find a way to collect them!
Well that’s 13 mins of my life wasted watching a cup holder put in a car,u seriously need to chuck some money at this channel and do something interesting if u want to keep up with the competition on TH-cam.
@@GeorgeAusters yes as I said i watched 13mins youve really gota put more time and effort in this channel i find it boring now which is a shame, its repetitive stuff advertising bits more and more.just my opinion im sure u don’t like and sorry 2 dampen things but I can’t be the only 1 thinking that way!
Totally disagree. I found it very interesting and a lot of 986 owners will too. PetrolPed did a similar vid with Zunsport grills on his Boxster and got a lot of love from watchers. All I want to see now is the car being driven and on adventures 😊
Job well done George 😊👍💯
Cheers Steve!

Lmao the extra 100 grams 😂
I’m liking these quick little mods you’re doing 👍 you could do with an airline to blow away all the leaves and debris
Thanks mate! I do actually have an air compressor but didn’t think it’d be worth getting it out for this👍🏻

@@matthpotte I haven’t noticed it rattling to be honest👍🏻
How much do the new grills restrict air flow?
It’s negligible
How do you stop the armrest falling down and smashing your drink?
Should have fibreglassed the back of the bodged tow hook hole while the bumper was off.
Doesn't really bother me
I thought immediately, 'thank God he's got rid of those horrible Sparco tow hitch straps'... but not yet. lol
Soon!
Had my 986 for 17 years now and have never needed any of these ‘improvements’.
And that’s why your radiator is full of leaves

@@SJ-pb6jx It's not very easy to access all sides of the radiators
I would be worried about Air flow through the new grills. Would assume that Porsche engineers didn’t add the mesh style grill for a reason 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t think air flow will be an issue
Yeah that’s rubbish. They are a great mod to protect the car from deterioration and well recommended if you check the forums

Please stop with "All @@@ owners NEED to do these mods " titles.
Why?
Yeah why, Scottie says it all the time
Because it’s stupid. You really need to ask why?
