A "professional" build may not have been done as well as Tim did. You saved so much with Tim not only knowing but also being able to do it so well. It was done with love and no price can be put on that. Your home is paid so you'll be able to do those little additions as time goes on. I'm very happy and proud for you, it all looks great 👍. The two of you together is a riot, very funny and entertaining. Fantastic job on the fitout for I believe to be a reasonable cost for a beautiful finish. No doubt the both of you will enjoy your new rolling home and time together...keep laughing and enjoy the road life!

Wow, that’s a really great price for the whole lot, plus your van is awesome. We got a professional van build that cost $85k and a new sprinter LWB & high roof was $95k = $180k it was finished Dec 2023. We were pretty specific about what we wanted and I felt like the van builder ignored our requests and forgot lots of things. Also he didn’t maximise storage opportunities. It would have been nice to do it ourselves, but we don’t have any building skills or the space to do it. Any way we love our van, she’s our home and has all the comforts we need.
Y'all did an amazing job on the build. 👍 Wow, I was surprised at how expensive that was. But when you put it in the perspective that it's your home, not bad. 🤷♂️

great video and love the build. I built out my own by myself but it's a smaller 2008 144 SWB Sprinter, an ex postie van that is of course red. Love the idea of the bed lift but wouldn't work in mine as the roof isn't high enough, I'm 5'1 and can just stand upright in it. cheers
14:00 I have the 3rd gen StarLink and I was parked on the side of the roadway next to the city Curb and the Dishie was off by -8 degrees and WOULD NOT WORK 😮😢😢 So mounting it FLAT on the roof MAY NOT BE a good Commitment 🤷♂️

Another good video. A question....when you installed the IKEA taps, did you also install a micro-switch to control the water pump?? If not, how well do the IKEA taps works without a micro-switch ? Jerry
We have a switch controlling the pump as we want to minimise the wear on the pump also it stops the pump from occasionally trying to build up pressure , the expansion tank holds the system to pressure so there’s no lag when turning the pump on 🤩hope this helps
