- Ok r/ponds, here it is: the filter system walkthrough.
Thank you to everyone for their kind words, knowledge, and support throughout this crazy pond build. Obviously I still have a long ways to go, but here is an in depth update of how the filter system currently function and where everything is at.
When I first started posting updates documenting this project to r/ponds, I never expected so many people to take an interest and follow along. It's been humbling and lot of fun 😁
People asked for this walkthrough so here it is! The filter room isn't complete yet so this will just have to be part 1 for the filter walkthrough. I have no idea when part two will be happening but once the filter room is done I'll get another video filmed.
I felt silly walking around my yard talking to myself (really you guys), but I owed this to everyone. I did my best with the editing but this is all new for me 😅
Thank you kindly.

Thanks for sharing. Your filter house even though it looks complicated seems very well thought out and planned. Excellent system 👏👏👏👍
@@superaquatics thank you! It was a lot of planning and working things out as I went. But overall I’m happy with the results
Great walkthrough! I laughed when I saw the excavated dirt sitting in the corner of your garden. My better half tells me all the time that she can handle me building a pond for as long as it takes- but she's so sick of the mountains of soil that i've littered everywhere. I thoroughly understand your filterhouse, now. The waste going into that thing doesn't stand a chance. Massive respect. Bravo, Sisyphus!
Yeah, the excavated soil is an unavoidable hazard. The trick is to shove dirt into your pockets until they are bulging. Then you go on a walk around the neighborhood and discreetly sprinkle a little out here and there into people’s gardens as you pass each day. The only problem is that all my neighbors are upset their front garden beds have risen by 2’ and can’t figure out why lol. I’m glad the filtration makes sense to everyone now. Also, SiThePondGuy is a rad name! It’s like Bill Nye the science guy! I love it!
Great job . I laughed when you said I put straight clear ammonia in the pond 2cups. My inner thoughts were hum drink a few bottles of water, one beer 🍺 that has the word lite behind it and whalaaa 🎉
@@Maatson_ haha the thought did cross my mind 😂 too funny
I cant believe i actually was able to follow along with you on what all the pipes were for. Great job explaining Ty. Thank you 👍
@@sweetkoiyo haha oh good 😅 my wife says being in our filter room is like standing in a Windows95 screensaver 😂
