What an experience to be at this concert. And, can we try to imagine for a minute the perspective of Ben. You write these these incredible songs alone ... and then to hear them played at this quality by a world class orchestra. What a life fulfilling moment it must have been for him.
I remember when I picked up his retrospective album, and this song always floored me. When I got older in my 20’s it always hit home. It was through one of the worst times of my life, but the music was there to comfort and pacify the situation. Thank god for music.
This was such a beautiful arrangement. I've loved how it was done. Then I saw the random duck floating around near the end, and my ADHD kicked in, and now duck is life.
It’s been 15 years since I first heard this song and it still makes me weep like a baby, especially this version.
Ben Folds is a genius. But I never understood this song. I have no idea what is about so I can't have an emotional attachment to it.
@@danelson78 I think it's about the ending of a relationship.
The intro always takes my breath away

No matter how many times I listen to this song, it always breaks my heart.
It leaves me very raw but I need it.

One of my favorite DVDs! Right next to Sessions at West 54th on my shelf. :)
I love them all Mr. Folds but this one is my favorite. I listen to it often but especially when I need to remember to forget.

I have never heard this song and not sobbed, hard. That says something
I've listened to Ben Folds since the 90s but only just discovered these Orchestral versions ... beautiful. Speechless 🌷🌷🌷🌷
Same. :)
Just... Total... Goosebumps.
What a genius.
What a lovely version of one of my favourite songs.
Had no idea that this existed.
Pure magic!!
Just heard this live in Georgia a week ago. Absolutely mind blowing.

I’m gonna cry
Yes smoke, love it
I love you. A lot. Thanks for your music. It makes me feel understood.
HOLY CRAP there’s video of it
Absolutely stunning version with the full orchestra. ❤
Thank you for uploading this! I've been looking for it for years.
Thank you, Ben.

Wow
My nervous love, can only accept.
All your loves and hates won’t amount to ash so fight to blaze a trail across the sky and love everyone. Or it is the void.
5:51 Cameraman had a bit of a wander, it seems.
交わすべきじゃなかった言葉なんて忘れてしまおうよ。ねえ?
just came over from west 54th and I gotta say, the orchestral bongos kinda wrecks a nice vocal.
I don't like the Disney treatment on this one. It's a personal song.
