If F1 22 Had Features From Old F1 Games...

- In this video, I pretended to add features into F1 22 which were in some of the old F1 games. This included things such as a scenario mode, young driver testing, pro season mode and classics mode from F1 2013 where you could drive classic cars from the 80s and 90s at different classic tracks.

And because of that logic Codies/EA won't add these features in. They took out the alternate layouts and classic cars in favour of a half baked Story mode and then they took the half baked Story mode out to put in an even more half baked Supercars mode and F1 Life, two features that not a single player asked for. As far as I can tell we all loved the Classic cars and Alternate layouts. They reinvented the wheel and turned the wheel into a square 😫 they don't look out for us loyal gamers

0:47 - Pro Season Mode actually still exists in F1 22, it's just not as visible as before. When you set up the career mode there's a button "enable pro career" or something like that. When you press it all the setting are set like they were in pro season mode
I guess back then the "Pro Season Mode" was even harder. F1 2015 was a very big disappointment.

For the young drivers test, it wouldn't make any sense without F2 career involved. Like if you start at F2, you could have teams send you request for doing a set amount of laps.
It was in a game called f1 career challenge on ps2, basically you took basic tests such as hairpins etc and tried to optimise, it could result in a start at ferrari or a shameful entry at a back marker as I'm sure they also wasn't retry enabled tests, you got one shot at each test
Yeah, but it could be fun to roleplay as an Alonso or Schumacher prodigy type where you just don't bother with F2 and come flying into F1 as a promising prospect after an invitation to do a few laps in testing.
Video idea: normal online race BUT everyone has to race cleanly

One feature that may be irrelevant for some people but I would absolutely love to see is after you finish the race is beign able to do your cooldown lap and taking your car to park ferme, I believe it'd make you feel more like you are actually taking part in a race

the young driver test is in f1 2012 too where theyll force you to drive one of the slow teams before entering main menu
my favourite part of f1 2006 is that in career you dont get to choose your team, you drive tests for 3 backmarker teams and depending on your perfonce you get offered 1st, 2nd or test driver and you get offers from better teams as the seasons progress and you do well
It would be cool in f122 when you start in your career you have to start in the lower teams and based on your skill other teams will reach out to you

Ideas:
Paddock mode and interview from F1 2010
No DRS from F1 2010 (optional)
DRS can activate anytime in qualy (F1 2012)
Classic tracks (F1 2013)
Bad engine sound (F1 2014)
Bad physics (F1 2009)
One feature I really want to see make a comeback in career mode is the ability to be a 1st, 2nd or Test Driver. It was featured in F1: Championship Edition from 2006 and you actually had to compete for contracts.
The classic mode would be awesome!!
The current game doesn't have bugs because it is a bug itself.
EA and Codemasters need to look at this video and the comments and realize that all of this would make their F1 games that much more satisfying to play!
Even knowing its fake it got me wanting to play it :). It would be awesome. The team selection is on that i miss more. The feeling of starting with a lower team and learn the hard way :)
Hi Webby, i have an idea for a video. I think you could do an online race but everybody goes backwards and uses brake to go.
Why do they remove good stuff, literally removing stuff that was good in f2009 but now suddenly remove it???

all i want is some kind of remake of older f1 games like i wanna play the 2012 or the 2005 season with all the cars and drivers from that era
I wish they had like a classic scenario, mine tracks, and even a 24 car grid if you wanted to add extra teams in my team
I could go into an entire list of things that would drastically change the game, but I’m not sure no one wants to listen to it

And this only limiting yourself with the Codemasters' era. What if we pick ideas from the Sony era, like: customized grid in quick race, actual interactive pit-stops, being a third-driver (or a no job driver, F1 04 I'm looking at you), spectator mode in offline, commentary during races...

I had a career once on like F1 2011 or 2012 with Sauber and did really well then went to McLaren and Sauber were one of the best cars by season 2 because of how well I had done with them in season 1. That was prime Codemasters F1 from like 2010 to 2013
It's too hard to hope for these features to comeback for F1 game since Codemasters barely improve from F1 20 and with EA involve

Dude EA prides itself on creating barebones sports games that are exactly the same with one minor update each year for 60 dollars that parents will buy for their kids and adults will still purchase because they have no other options :D

Tbf pro mode still exists it’s just in the corner of the screen for some reason.
I use no hud or assists but it’s impossible to keep up with 110 AI in this game so it’s unplayable.

Your edits are really neat but you should add Anti Aliasing on the text next time you do these sorts of things, it removes those jagged edges that make the edited text stand out and make it a bit too much noticeable that this is an edit.

One of the feature from old f1 games that i like the most is young driver test. Basically build your own way to bigger teams.

Omg I wish they would bring back driver tests! I love actually grinding and having to play games to earn rewards. I love that I can start in F2 career mode but hate that it means nothing and I can pick any team I want. I hope they flush out and make career mode and My Team better.
