Quince is the same fruit old-timers call keeper pears. It’s a cross between an apple and a pear. They used to wrap them in newspapers and pack them away to enjoy all winter long. I made quince jam last year so this year I’m making quince pear butter.
That must have been a quince tree outside our kitchen window in an older home, in the 80's (TEXAS). I always called it a cooking pear (never ripened soft). It had to be cooked to use in our baking treats. Or maybe not. But I miss that fruit! Thx for enlightening us 🥰
Hi, caught the last end of the webcast. I enjoyed it. Can't wait for the pixel butterfly project. It would be nice to start soon and maybe take the month of December off for Xmas and start back up after New Years. Yes it will be fun. Bye
Hello Lisa, I'm watching the replay this chicken mug rug is cute. I also like your new embroidery machine. That's pretty fancy, the digitized butterfly quilt. Looks interesting, I still can't sew anything yet. Still waiting for my 2 femur fractures to heal in my right leg. But I've enjoyed watching everything. Looking forward to your next video.
Not sure if I'll be able to do the butterfly quilt, so maybe my opinion is a "moot point". But if I was, I'd like to get started on it so that I could be preparing pieces, etc. while saving scraps from projects and when I just wanted to do some small preps. I have about 5 projects going right now, & that helps me get things done. My eyes are an issue, so if they get tired, I have to quit. But it can continue after the New Year begins. It's going to be very pretty. Thx for sharing about your new machine. Very cool!!!
Thank you for sharing your time and talent. Happy sewing. ❤
The Butterfly Quilt is Beautiful but brave to do! ❤

So sorry your legs were hurt. Blessings to you, Marion. Sending up prayers now. Keep your chin up!

I’ve just recently discovered your videos and I’m really enjoying them. Do you do a live every day? What time?
Thank you! I go live each Friday at 12 noon EST
Curious why you didn’t trim the batting and background fabric before putting your binding on.
Where did you buy your machine? Thanks for sharing
Lisa said, @about 44 mins, she bought it at Ken's Sewing Center; she thinks they're in Ohio.
Hello. Thanks for sharing. Why do you use the heat and bond in the back of your chicken fabric?
That keeps it anchored to the foundation so it won't be puffy & ruin any further embellishment or quilting you might do on it.
