Hi Alicia, I'm happy to see you receiving brushes because you were definitely the catalyst to my Sonia G collection. I can't count how many times I referenced your older videos when narrowing down my picks. I will say that ever since I started using Sonia G brushes, my makeup has never looked better. It barely looks like I'm wearing makeup now, which is something I was never able to achieve before.
Alicia has convinced me to buy many products, but the majority of those have been in the luxury realm of cosmetics. I don't know if I should love her or hate her for that! Lol (jk)
RIGHT!!? I take Alicia’s recommendations very serious 😁 and she has yet to steer me wrong! Shout out to Sonia Gs sweet makeup temptation blog. She gives the most in depth thorough reviews and comparisons of brushes!
Thank you for the kind words, Olivia!! I appreciate your support, and happy to know that your makeup application has become a delight! I feel the same, and look forward to applying all the makeup while still looking fresssshhhh 😌
Yes! My favorite person to focus on! I know that sounds weird but I have a very short attention span so it usually might take me a full day or a few days to watch just one video in it’s entirety. So thank you to you for helping me focus for once.
Love the shape and density of this brush. I'm sure you are in heaven given it's a Sonia G. and a bronzing brush! So happy this was sent your way for your reviewing expertise.
I have loved every Sonia G brush I have purchased. They are some of my very favorite brushes. Out of how many? 😌 I cannot (will not) say (count). I do love bronzer. 💞 I feel like adding bronzer to my complexion is more believable in making me look "healthy" than blush. Have you inspired a whole drawer full of blushes? Yes. You're not an influencer... you're an inspire-er (muse? Oooh, I like that! Beauty muse!). I had too much coffee 14 hours ago. 🤪
Hi Alicia, I have to say I love how you explain everything about this brush. Or any brush. You give a lot of explanation and reason for how the brush work & how it will put on product. I’m more of a eye brush collector. But I do have a lot of face brushes. But I have to say I love Sonia G’s Brushes they do what they supposed to and more. Thanks so much Alicia for a great job on the new Sonia G Jumbo Bronzer brush. 🙏🥰
But the way this brush applies my bronzer. Baby I've been missing out. I'll half to binge watch you videos. Now I'm ready to invest in a whole set. Game changer!!
You look... airbrushed and like soft focused... wow gorgeous application 😍 Also... I have TRIED to wear a wrap on my head and I think my head is just a weird shape because I cannot. I made two more for you today though! There is one I hope 🤞🏼🤞🏼 you love. I love how it turned out!
Loved this!! So educational. I would love to own a Sonja G brushes set one day. As expensive as makeup is. It makes sense to invest in a good brush set for application purposes. I do have a decent brush collection, but the only animal brushes I own are eye brushes.
Just bought it using your link 🙈. I only have a few brushes from Sonia, including the Ninji pro and the angled face brush. It was very interesting to see the difference between these 3 brushes in your video. This made me pull the trigger, considering that I was already eying the jumbo bronzer and that I really hate my current bronzer brush (rephr). Not saying that this is a bad brush, but just not for me (picks up too much product to my liking, is stiff and not precise), I always end up with too much patchy bronzer on my face... When it comes to brushes, I always watch your review to know everything I need to know about them. Thank you Alicia 🙏💜
Hi there Alicia - a non-subject question here....your nail polish always looks so perfect what is the base coat and top coats that you use on your manicures?
Hello, I was hoping that you would compare it to the Hinoki bigger brush as that one is my favorite currently. Love your in depth descriptions and comparisons.
Thank you for being so thorough as always! I snagged the new bronzer brush, along with the face pro, master face, and flat defined with your link. Living the fude dream! I’m tempted to go back for a backup jumbo blender, that has become my favorite eye brush….
Thank you for the video Alicia! I was wondering if you knew if the Sculpt 1 was discontinued? It's not listed on beautylish anymore, but I can't find anything on her blog about it! Thank you!
I cannot find my Sonia G. Mini cheek brush!! I love this new brush and so excited to add it to my Sky set collection. May now have to buy a new mini cheek as well - if I can purchase it separately ... ROFL
I love your videos Alicia, they are so helpful. I am one who planned on getting it later but after reading Sonia's blog post I decided to purchase it now in case it doesn't restock... not that I needed it but I kind do because it's Sonia G.
Another great video. I pre-ordered this and it’s set to be delivered tomorrow. I’m not totally sure it’s something I needed and to be honest I rarely use a goat hair powder brush this large. It probably won’t get much use but I have all the other Sonia G brushes released to date and my compulsion to have complete sets took over 😂. Not to mention it may or may not be restocked so waiting to long wasn’t an option. Statistically her brushes sell out fairly quickly and I knew I would kick myself later.
Hey hey! I spoke about that later in the video, my apologies for not remembering the time stamp. Sonia makes this comparison also on her blog. The Tom Ford brush is fluffier, but shorter bristles. It feels more dense on the skin whereas the Jumbo Bronzer has more fluidity in the blend.
Hey Alicia, I have been so much on the fence about this brush. I am petite 5’2 so I have a smaller frame. Do you think this brush would still work on a smaller face or would it be too large? I’m not looking for anything super precise and would want something to quickly apply without covering my entire face! Any assistance with this would be super appreciated!!!
I was soooo looking to your review Alicia! Detailed and informational as always! I have the entire sky set except for the smooth buffer which, I was going to get before she launched the jumbo bronzer, now I'm between the two! The closest brush I have to the jumbo is the rephr 25. I love the experience that brush gives me.
I am somewhat of a brush hoarder. I don’t feel too bad about it. I take care of them. They can last for several years to come. Thanks for the lovely review and comparisons.
Great review as usual. In your opinion where is the softness on this brush compared to a squirrel or fox haired powder brush? I recognize this is a challenging question so just for context if it helps I consider the Rephr bronzer brush to be about a 4 on my scale , the Sonia G. Master Face to be a 6, Sonia G. Face Pro a 7 and the Sonia G. Soft Cheek an 8. The only squirrel brush I have is an approx. $35 small Wayne Goss limited edition brush (don't know the name) I'd rate about a 9-9.5. I like a natural look and love the soft cheek (which in a perfect world I'd like in a larger size for a bronzer brush). I also like the face pro's density (but not the shape) and turned down the Niji due to its density. I'd been debating getting a squirrel powder brush for bronzer and light loose powder application, but am wondering if this would be a better all-in-one fit with a light hand especially given the fact that it should have better durability. I'm thinking this would be worth getting either as a replacement for the squirrel brush or an alternative if the softness level is at least on par with the Face Pro, but if I expect a dramatic difference with the squirrel I might just skip over it.
This isn’t as soft as fox or squirrel, but softer than undyed goat hair. It is on par with the Soft Cheek, and think of it as a fluffy paddle version. I would prefer squirrel for finishing as it has better splay, and is more air light than the Jumbo Bronzer. This brush is very direct, and the bristles pretty much stay uniform as you blend.
I ended up not enjoying the niji pro very much. It sheds… a lot. I’ve washed it maybe 3 times since it launched. It’s embarrassing having my husband continually pick little hairs out of my face in public. It’s also too soft for what I wanted it for, which was my Chanel tub bronzer or similar formulas.
There is a section of my makeup and a growing brush collection that is titled “Alicia made me buy it”…as for nail polish..its all recommended by her…and im forever grateful because I love it all 😈
Hey Alicia if i was going to buy a fancy brush for my new hourglass pallet would you suggest the new sonia g bronzer or the other expensive gray squirel brushes?
I have the Niji pro, I bought it earlier this year. So what's so different between the Jumbo and Niji pro that we needed another style of this brush? I am confused.
@@jamiliawallace3188 Sonia is a much smaller brand, and I feel her releases are not repetitive like let’s say Colourpop 🥴 or even Pat McGrath (as much as I love her palettes) with her collection of pinks and golds. The Niji Pro is more dense with shorter bristles, and the finish more buffed. I think they’re totally different in terms of delivery. And with Fude, the differences are more nuanced depending on the brushes’ density, bristle length, ferrule construction, and bristle type. If you’re happy with the Niji Pro, then you can skip this one.
Hi Alicia, I’ve been using saie cream bronzer after I saw one of ur video, love it so much! but I can’t really find a good brush for the cream bronzer, any recommendation?
@@aliciaarcherthank you so much! I’ve been following you and you are definitely my favorite make up influencer in TH-cam. And you are the one got me into SONIA G 😂, thank you for all the great videos!!!! 😘
Can I ask another question? 😝What’s ur favorite brush for cream/liquid blush? Im using the Sonia G Classic Cheek but I think it’s better for power products..
Hi Alicia, thank you for your informative review as always. I was wondering how this brush compares to the larger hinoki set brush? Would appreciate it if you could give me your opinion on the difference of the two.
The larger Hinoki brush is more fan like, the bristles are shorter and just fluffier overall. Because of the smaller brush head, it’s more versatile where you can use it as an all over powder brush, finishing and all cheek product application. Sonia also explains this comparison on her blog.
Hello Alicia, how are you? I need your help. I have the large Wayne Goss Artist collection, and it´s the one I use for my powder. I want to get another powder brush. I have a small face. Do you recommend I get the new Sonia G Bronzer brush or should I get the Houkodou Nagi N-F1? Will either be better than the WG Artist? Thanks for your help. Love you.
Ooooo that’s a tough one! If you have a smaller face then I would get the Houkodou Nagi. It’s more versatile than the Jumbo Bronzer. The WG Artist Brush has a taper, but the Nagi brush has longer bristles which I think lends a more swirly twirly feel on the blend.
@@aliciaarcher Thanks Alicia........You´re the best! I loved your serie of favorite brushes. You need to go on and do a series of favorite foundation, blush, bronzers, etc. I know, I know it will be tough, but you can do it! Love you sis!
Great review 😊 I really wish she would put out more options with lighter coloured handles. Do you think that we can use this brush to buffing?
