- Coho loves to chomp on eggs. I was using bobber and had success early but as the fish got deeper I switched gear to bring the bait down and got some willing eaters. Saw my friend Khoi out there again and we had a great trip.
I will retire to go fishing like you Vu😂

Haha I’m just messing with him, I’m the worst when it comes to taking care of reels. It has a few scratches caused by my clumsiness already. 😅

Hello Vu, I'm new to salmon fishing. Is there anything you add to salmon eggs to cure or is it just salt brine? I see many videos how they do it but I just want to know if just salt brine will work? Thank you!
I cured mine exactly like the way I shared in video. It seems to work

This particular batch was cured with Pro Cure Fuze. I normally use Red Hot Double

Hey Vu. I advise not to let your dog or ANYONE's dog free roam without supervision. One of my friend dog got a hold of eating a dead salmon and got very sick. The vet said she had flukes/parasite bacteria and only affect dogs called salmonella. The dog became very lethargic and weak and didnt want to eat for almost 2 weeks. Pooping blood and diarrhea every day, had to force feed her with syringe so she can have fighting chance to survive becuz she would not eat at all. Vet prescribe antibiotic after a week of finding out. The vet hospital bill came out to over 2,000 for blood draw diagnosing and meds but I'm so glad the dog made it
Thanks for your advice. I’m well aware of this. But she’s a good fishing dog, she won’t eat salmon unless it is cooked ☺️

What size hook and weight did you use Vu?

Size 1 hook and sliding weight. In this case 1/2 oz but you’ll need to adjust base on the flow. You want your set up to tap bottom and still moving with the current. Smaller hook is better if water is clear.

vu, I might go and fish that spot after this rain. I have some really good eggs that I cured and I'm really excited to use them. It's only 45 minutes from my house. Hopefully I'll see you there. I'd love to fish with you

Do you feel them bite on bottom drifting?
Yes. They bite really soft, almost like a small trout. Light action rod helps to detect it easier.
