2:33 *stresses out in Japanese
Whoever was voicing Homelander sounds like he's having the time of his life
Had a similar discovery watching the Japanese audio of Star Wars A New Hope, the samurai aesthetic of obi wan and luke was perfect, and 3PO was everything you expected he would be
Suddenly this show makes so much more sense as an anime 😂
if it was an anime i think it would be animated either by madhouse or MAPPA
I never thought about it until now, but this show does have a lot of “wtf” moments that you would expect more from anime than live-action
@@RottenPieceofTrue
Seeing some of this shit in live action is so much worse lmao
Any time I watch my hero academia all I can think of when I see All Might is Homelander god even Stars and Stripes pulled up with the Homelander fit
Idk this seems like a science SARU type project

Soruja Boi!!!
I didn't know I needed this in my life. I feel like re-watching the entire series with this voice cast. I can fall in love with everyone all over again.
As a japanese speaker, i'm suprised the jokes actually translated well to japanese
0:21 It really only took the first clip to convince me to rewatch the boys in Japanese dub.
That one's so funny 😭
sameeeee
1:30 Wait is that the Kamen rider Narrator?
the boys as an anime would honestly go so hard
Haven’t you seen Diabolical? They do some anime styles in that.
The anime "Super Crooks" has a bit of this vibe
Watch 'Invincibles'.
1:44 soulja boy
Soruja boy
ソルジャー・ボーイ

I love the fact they had Kaido VA voice as Billy Butcher, the VA of Estarossa voice for Soldier Boy , & The Pain VA as Homelander. That’s awesome.
really? wow I watched all of them, Did not recognize
They didn't lmao
@@balljuggler64 But Pain really did sound like Homelander...
@@jianingmeng6279 literally search up the voice actors bro
Niji voices Butcher, not Kaido
Voice acting in japan is a really big thing and they are very well trained before becoming a professional.
In japan VAs are like top celebrities same way popular movie actors are in west .
I dont think Japanese VAs are very "professional" because if they were then they would make anything sound extremely good and majestic compared to the original but that isnt always the case
@@cheerful_crop_circleYou're entitled to your opinion, even though it's wrong.
@@9308323 So you think Japanese always makes everything sound better?
@@9308323 Do you even understand Japanese?
Happily forgot about the cow milk scene, now retaped over in my mind in Japanese. Stunning, truly.
The fact that I still understand what they're saying without subtitle is hilarious
yes!
true!
You know you watched too many animes when you partly understand what they are saying even without subtitles and ever learning japanese.
I did understand a lot even without sub being there. 😂
Kind of how I learned English as a kid, watching Transformers He-Man, GI Joe etc.
Yeah so i learnt i somewhat understand Japanese today.
Uhm... _I mean looking at my anime history i'm not surprised, just, kinda startled..._
That's unironicly how I learned English as a kid back in the 90 watching cartoon network
I understand it from yakuza games
Fun fact: Soldier Boy's name spelt in Japanese is Sorujaa *BOI*.
Tbh this sounds like a live action Jojo adaptation with the dialog delivery not as a meme but like a actual live action without the stands , Bravo well done 😆👍
I thought I was crazy for thinking that 💀
This whole dub is a Meme itself
We don't deserve this😂😭
I love Japanese voice acting so much. They always put their all into what they do.
Japanese voice actors are soo over the top and I love it
And this is why Westerners should not even be voice actors. All Western animated media should be entrusted fully to the Japanese to voice act for.
@@theflamingfreezer8478 sorry to the poor English kids and adults alike who don't like subtitles and don't understand Japanese if your opinion comes to be somehow true in the future
@@theflamingfreezer8478 no anime acting is so cringe when applied to live action, it is just overacting tbh
@@FriendlyandKind you mean cringy anime noises?
Homelander's VA also voiced Pain from Naruto
Interesting how they chose a certain voice archetype that was accurate to each character instead of imitating the actors voices directly.
Pretty common in Japanese dubbing actually.
that popclaw scene really blew my mind the first time i saw it. my head exploded at how good and well done it was
It was pretty hot too
dis shows crazy
I swear this was fun to watch. Gave me some real anime vibes

No. It proves that the Japanese voice acting industry isn't under the same nihilistic depression that Hollywood is.

Hughies voice actor poppin off tho
Hughie's VA just naild it.
I love the terror filled screams they make. It's so full of expression that yes, I'm freaking terrified
The Japanese voice actors are just sooo good with their voice modulation, it's amazing. They can lend their voice to any show and make it better.
That is a stretch
it sounds so childish for a serious show, I don't know it seems too exaggerated. It doesn't fit this medium that much, as much as it fits anime.
@@dangertamer7914 Yeah , it sounds like Japanese VAs force themselves to sound "cool" or goofy even in very casual and unnecessary moments so it just sounds very awkward
