    Thanks for the video Mark. I'm liking the tiny shutter podcast too. I think there is a lack of iphoneography related videos, articles, and podcasts, so I applaud you, Joe, and Matt for the content.

    thanks for the video ,i started using an iphone SE with camera + a month ago, really been getting some nice results. I was thinking of experimenting with the shutter speed and a tripod, looks like it works well !

    Slow shutter is DEFINITELY superior.

      At this stage of the game, I would have to agree with you. This past fall, Slow Shutter Cam had a TREMENDOUS update. I actually did a Chasing Landscape video where I used the new Slow Shutter Cam. I invite you to check it out: th-cam.com/video/xoOrnvfEADM/w-d-xo.html
      I'm also going to make a follow-up video that will HOPEFULLY be a definitive Slow Shutter Cam vs Camera+ information guide.
      Thank you for watching!!!!

    Thanks for the video. Just wondering apart from setting the shutter to 30s in the Camera+, what other settings are needed? I set it to 30s, but it's all white and doesn't adjust back (iPhone 6s Plus).

    I tried panning photography with this app and I thought the exposure was just going way up but I guess the screen was just adjusting. I’ll have to try again

    Can you adjust shutter on video mode? I need to slow it down in order to get rid of horizontal banding from my led light source. I’m recording a speaker who is in the shade with a bright ocean background. He’s silhouetted without lighting. My lights work, he’s no longer silhouetted but now I have terrible banding.

      Its because there's too much light coming in

    • @MegaRay68
      @MegaRay68 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You will then have to reduce the ISO to less than 25 and check which lighting suits best. By this, you can control the light. Always recommend less ISO more exposure. You should and must have a tripod with this setting to work perfectly.

  • @agtv8039
    @agtv8039 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    hi another question how do expose properly your photos because on my iphone screen is totally looks good but when it printed out it looks dark. i used silk 3R photo paper. my iphone5s is set to 100% brightness, so thats why if im looking into viewfinder looks good but lack of exposure. tnx

    • @Film-ish
      @Film-ish  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could not answer that. Printing is a whole different beast altogether. I know viewfinder does not necessarily equal final print. If your screen adjusts according to the light in the room, that could mean a different print. So many variables in this.

  • @agtv8039

  • @garymarschka
    @garymarschka 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What type of tripod mount are you using on the iPhone?

    • @Film-ish
      @Film-ish  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are several that I bounce between. Really, anything that can securely hold the iPhone in place will be good enough. There are cheap options on Amazon that you can find. The better investment is actually the tripod. Make sure it's good and sturdy.

    • @garymarschka
      @garymarschka 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I've seen the cheap ones but I want to buy a nice one. Which model/brand specifically in this video are you using? Thanks!

    • @Film-ish
      @Film-ish  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Manfrotto tripods are always good, can't go wrong with that. And I'm using a Beast Grip to hold the iPhone in place. But that's only because that's what I had on me that day. I've used cheaper options in the past.

    • @hamzaedd3602
      @hamzaedd3602 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edward Mendez dude on 7+ u don’t even need this app . Press live mode ( steady your hand for like 10s after hitting the shutter) open your photo , slide your finger from bottom to top they would show you that the pic was taken in many modes and long exposure is one among them select it and enjoy it

Thank you in advance.

    By increasing the shutter speed the image is resulting completely plain white

    • @Film-ish
      @Film-ish  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm in the process of creating another video to address this. But in the meantime, when you set up your shot, try decreasing the ISO to compensate for the high shutter speed. If it's still resulting in a white screen, decrease the shutter speed to 15 seconds instead of 30.
