Nice job Ian. Will be shipping some seats your way once I get a lightening setup. Probably Alby but will be looking for Joltz as well.

One very critical thing for the PoS interface is to have the ability to enter the amount in any Fiat curency and get that converted to sats. Any employee using it should not have to use an external tool to find the amount of sats, generate the invoice and show the client.

Yep good point and I would hope that will be incorporated here

hi ian, may i know if we use alby and the company goes bust, what happens to our balance in there? can you help elaborate on this please? tq

Alby doesn't have access to your funds, it's a fully self-custodial node.
Even if you are using Alby Cloud or 3rd party hosting to run the hardware for you, only you should have keys to your node.
Keep backup of your keys, so you could spin it up on another device in case anything goes bust!
In case your channels get closed, then sats fall back to the onchain wallet of your node, generated by that backup seed phrase.
      Funds safu ;)

Such a channel was opened by 67,384 PPM. insane 🤦‍♂

    • @IanMajor

      Where are you seeing that?

@@IanMajor So, if you initially had 291061 sats in your Alby and when you opened the channel you were left with 271448 sats, the remaining 19613 sats of fee corresponds to 67384 PPM. Am I wrong?

There was a payment taken out as well for the first month subscription payment for the Alby Cloud offering. I did share with the Alby team that having more details for the channels would be helpful in addition to the funding trxn. But Megalith (the LSP opening the channel with me) for example has an avg. incoming PPM of about 380.

You are assuming some of us know more than we do. You skipped so much that newbe's just don't know. Are you saying we have no business on Alby? I realize it might be tedious to explain everything but please realize how difficult it is for truly new bitcoiners to understand the common steps or rules.

I promise that you will not succeed in this space with an entitled attitude. Bitcoin takes time both to understand at a conceptual level and to build the tangible skills. I’ve dedicated thousands and thousands of hours to producing FREE educational content on this channel and you can’t spend the 5 seconds looking at some of my other playlists that delve into the exact topics that others have watched which would address some of the more introductory concepts. Go to my channel -> go to the Lightning playlist -> literally first video. That will explain the fundamentals of Lightning. Good luck.
