16:00 bro thank you so much, you dont know how long i have been trying to look for a video that tackles this issue although it is really simple, thank you so much
Very helpful video! I can't tell you how happy it makes me when Revit doesn't work like you, an expert wants it to the first time haha, I am not alone!!
Espectacular explicación, gracias. Solo espero que los vídeos, algún día, tengan subtitulos en español, para acceder a Patreon, se que muchas personas de lengua española les interesaría. Gracias!!!
excellent tut, amigo, learned a lot on distributing floor finishes. helped me on my assignment #3 at City College of San Francisco BIM 120 class.....gracias!
Thank for this interested video , please can you tell me the difference between using both "Split Face" and "Paint" commands and the ways shown here to confirm YES or NO that the previous commands don't lead to change material of finished layer in floor, i.e to act as HATCH only?
Usefull tutorial!! Another simplier way to apply different materials is with divide surface tool and paint tool, it will be a usefull alternative in certain cases...
Hi B.A One problem with the part is join floor and wall in section. My why is to create main floor to all area and after creat specific floor the small area and use join between the floors.
I found the results of the Divide parts tool doesn't work properly in Revit 2023. It keeps the original floor layer overlaping your new split up ones. Until AutoDesk fix this, I cannot use this approach at the moment. 😕
hi BA i think it would be useful to make a vídeo on walls too. sometimes we want we want to apply diferente materials to walls (tile or paint) after building walls, especially when we export to rendering programs like twinmotion it becomes quite complex because you cannot apply diferente materials to the same Wall. thanks
It works (at least to some extent) because I tried it. However, I believe you can only create those divisions in floor plan views, which means you cant control the divisions around openings, for example, in elevation views.
Hello brother,Please i have one problem, i assigned a filter to my walls to get specific color depending the type of wall, but when i create walls legend the filter does not work, any idea ? And thank you for your videos
Nice video.. easy to follow. I have tried the create parts method, but find i cant move the floor (and all its parts) it seems to be pinned. Is this right ?
Revit LT 2022 - I am trying to use the "storefront" family to create wood framing for my project. When I go to the curtain wall mullion tab under "architecture" it prompts me to load a 'curtain wall mullion' family to the project. I do not have such a family in either the RLT21 or RLT22 folders and when I go into the RVT21 folder and select a rectangular mullion, I get a prompt telling me that it is "not a curtain wall mullion family" and will not load. Is the "storefront" application available for Revit LT and where can I download the mullion profile families? Thanks in advance
Hi Balkan, is there a way to create floor finish with the wall and column being cut when intersect floor finish layer but remain attach to the structural concrete floor?
if you change your floor to parts, and you need to change the wall locations, will the floor move with the wall as one entity or will each layer have to be moved indiviually?
Hi good video... Can you share me a 2 floor plan.I have already in that ground floor Area is total approx 600 square feet...I required for this rental leased purpose waiting your reply Thanks
I would recommend the third way if you expect to extract some quantities from your model in a more organized way. Also keeps the families better organized.
man you are a legend, cant search for anything in revit without finding your channel through the results

you are a life saver sir

Thank you Balkan for the nice vide. I hope you and your team are safe .
You can also model de finish floor on top of the existing one, and then, use the cut tool to remove the overlapping geometry

thank you Balkan Architect
I think the third way is the best! thanks a lot 👏👏

Excellent Job....
Thank you so much .. Great video

Individual wall layers and floor layers are not showing in my project even if detailing is set to fine and realistic view.
I have been using Revit off and on since 2014 and never once noticed the Create Parts icon in the Create section of the Ribbon.
Great video
Poucan video, samo kad bi isao malo sporije prilikom objasnjavanja.Hvala
#3 would be the correct way!
Thanks so much

U can do so by duplicating the wall type and editing it separately only
Hello brother,Please i have one problem, i assigned a filter to my walls to get specific color depending the type of wall, but when i create walls legend the filter does not work, any idea ?
And thank you for your videos
sir if i use creat parts command and make averything ..but don not show camera view.and rebnder view ..plz check
Nice! How long have you been using revit?
Do you know how to make a herringbone wooden floors?
I’ve always used the ‘Split Face’ tool to accomplish this.
That is a good way of achieving the look, but it can make problems when it comes to making material schedules 🙂
My guy you just saved me having to watch this video, grazie raggazzi

Bonjour M. Balkan. Q: With Revit LT, create part tool not in modify tab. Is it possible ?
Which software you use to record the screen and which software for editing that video??
Hi Balkan,
is there a way to create floor finish with the wall and column being cut when intersect floor finish layer but remain attach to the structural concrete floor?
Pl make a video on corrugated sheet on steel structure
sir..I'm making a project but the floors are slightly off from axis, plzzzzz sir tell me the solution
10:59 When I selected my floor, why I cannot 'create divide'? It shows up in grey colour.
Sorry: Why I cannot 'Create part'?
Floor depression on Toilet and bath, does not possible in revit?
can you calculate materials in 3 options???
Like this reel :D
if you change your floor to parts, and you need to change the wall locations, will the floor move with the wall as one entity or will each layer have to be moved indiviually?
yaah same doubt here
Hi good video...

How to rendering with a graphic card in revit???
Sir can u plz mail me families file which u use in tutorials
Do Any body know how to download or installing revit software Mac computer because I am having problem ?
Thank you 🙏
Revit only runs a a pc. If you want to use it on a Mac you need to boot camp the Mac drive and install a copy of windows 10. Good luck
What is the best approach?
That is for you to choose 😉
@@balkanarchitect Okay. Thank you for your Valuable time. I appreciate it very much.
I think the third is the best... The first is simpler but on your floor abacus you'll have 3 floor with the same structure but only different finishes
When in doubt, always model as it's built.
I would recommend the third way if you expect to extract some quantities from your model in a more organized way. Also keeps the families better organized.
I don't get it
Helpful but You talk too much unnecessarily
That's rude
