First of all, Teen Titans Go! is a spin-off. That's different from a reboot.
Second, the show is eight years old. Why are you still complaining about it when its literally irrelevant now?
Lastly: DON'T EVEN START this potentially long and drawn out fued of surface level negativity.
@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862 First of all, Teen Titans Go is not a spin-off. A spin-off implies it comes from the same canon as the original. TTG uses the same concept, but rewrites the canon. Ergo, it is a reboot. Even though TTG would eventually state that the original TT takes place in an alternate universe, that does not make it a spin-off since it never existed in the original canon.
Second, the show is still airing and even if it wasn't, it's still one of the most successful reboots ever made. In this video where I mention reboots, it is a relevant topic.
Lastly, Jay Crew's comment did nothing but imply TTG did not do reboots correctly. By demanding people don't talk about it, you draw more attention to the subject than it already had.
@@ShadyDoorags If you ask me, you should make videos of what TTG, PPG'16 and ThunderCats Roar did absolutely wrong and, unlike Ducktales, completely insults the audience and the lousy humor and horrendous morals. Just saying...

Probably underrated because nobody watches tv anymore 🤦🏾♂️ shows like this and owl house will get cancelled or end early because either A the kids dont give af about those shows or B the people who would like those shows dont even know about it because they dont watch tv

If only more reboots were of this quality, then we wouldn't have fundamental failures like Powerpuff Girls 2016.

That's one of the reasons, but another is good writing. Even if you judge some other reboots on their own like the aforementioned Powerpuff Girls, they're still thoroughly unenjoyable because of the poor writing and lack of care.
Ducktales is one of my favourite shows too, but it always got ignored in comparison to the other Disney serialized cartoons.
Also, did anyone notice the implication that Bradford KILLED Duckworth?

The finale of the DT reboot may have it's ups and downs like all tv show finales do, but it was still an awesome episode especially since it finally gave Webby an origin!!!
honestly the only downside ive seen in the finale is that we didnt see the fight between Manny and Luna vs Phantom Blot
Webby’s origin was complete trash. I mean finding out that she was a clone of Scrooge is so stupid. It is like the long lost brother or sister trope. They should have done something better like finding out she was related to Isabella or something instead of making her an artificial heir just so she would be the one in the prophecy. Also why did they make Bradford try to kidnap Huey and brainwash despite the fact that he was just going to delete him from the universe.

Because Cartoon Network did quality reboots, and they didn't see the numbers they wanted. (Young Justice, Thundercats, etc). However, with Teen Titans Go, they hit the jackbot. So for a while they believed TTG style reboots were the way to go.

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since the show ended.
I felt ducktales should of had three more seasons as i felt there was still more to tell and more to adventures to go into as i felt had there been a 4th season they could've done the Duckthulhu storyline from the darkwing duck comics with Scrooge finding the lost book and how Merlock and his group of followers plan to summon the old one
I think they still could've done a 4th season and finished off strong, but 3 seasons was still a good stopping point. The only flaw the show had was that it never delivered on Nega-duck that it teased.
@@ShadyDoorags The Nega duck story was to me wasted potental and getting in Darkwing duck villains in the episode felt empty handed with out Nega duck giving his history with theme in the darkwing duck cartoon

i mean i always had this idea in my head that somehow somewhere the reboot and the original could co-exist within the same canon but since they didn't do a TMNT style crossover this is the next best example of how to make a good reboot..
The first rule about a reboot that needs to be understood, respect the legacy and the fans that the show has. Not a lot of reboots respect or even really care about the shows they are making, and even attack old fans when they voice their concerns. I mean, Teen Titans Go! episode The Return of Slade tells them they're too old for cartoons and to move on, while DuckTales shows respect for their fans and their love for the series their rebooting.

Why? Manny isn't a gargoyle as described by the rules of the Gargoyles franchise. Him being Gargoyle had no impact to the story. It has impact on whether the franchise will return or not.

You misunderstood what I meant. It was definitely a Gargoyles reference but Manny himself isn't a Gargoyle by the definition of a gargoyle in the Gargoyles franchise. He can move around in broad daylight and Gargoyles aren't magical in nature. A gargoyle can't regrow a head much less move without it
Every rebooted show NEEDS to learn from Duck Tales (2017) for actually managing to improve upon the original.

You're just a little off. The Disney Afternoon didn't start with DuckTales, but with the Adventures of the Gummi Bears. It was the first in the airing order, and was created before DuckTales. Now, both shows were inaugural members of the Disney Afternoon (along with Rescue Rangers and Tale Spin, if I'm not mistaken), but I don't think either show was the "anchor" for the programming block.

*raises hand* According to Wikipedia, Chip n' Dale's Rescue rangers came out in 1989 while Duck Tales came out in 1991. Yes, I'm being that guy.

No. The views on my original video tells me there's not much market for it on my channel despite the fact that it was highly requested from me, also I don't really have any want to cover it more since I don't really enjoy watching it.

I'm actually surprised the Ducktales reboot is the *only other* reboot besides, I dunno, All Grown Up I can think of that doesn't squash the influence of the original nor overly glorifies everything about it (Dorkus was originally a walking fat joke and Webby was The Girl. Beakley...she's awesome now instead of just The Maid. Plus Fenton. Dear God, Fenton rules.).
Now I'd like to see a video where you break down reboots that get this stuff wrong and worse, end up dragging the original down with it - goodness knows I'll never touch the original Powerpuff Girls again unless I get bored.
I didn't like the ending. I don't hate it, but let's just say I belong to a certain _category_ if people who believe in a certain way, in which the ending not only fucked up but made awkward as hell.
I cannot explain any further than that. It's just too embarrassing & awkward.
Don't mean to be "that" guy, but Gummi Bears aired two years before Ducktales classic but I get what the creative team behind Ducktales 2017 was going for.

I didn't realize this at all. Thax for pointing it out. This was one of the best reboots I've ever seen and I hope every reboot afterward follows this trend.
