You put the lock on yourself, but you took it off, too, and I'm really glad to see it!~ Also, your balance of ridiculous jokes versus thoughtful lyrical analysis was perfect, as always. I was just thinking about you, and thinking that you’re missing out on new Agust D music. Welcome back, and hopefully continually a healthier Comedian. Whenever a word or phase is in Korean, I enter it into my translator app (Papago and DeepL). It told me Haegeum is a “lifting of a ban” or just whatever was forbidden before, now it no longer is. He pretty much explains it before the first pre-chorus and straight out said “This song’s simply about freeing what’s forbidden” and adds “But you must remember to differentiate freedom from self-indulgence” and in the pre-chorus he says to get on board that this is a Haegeum, but it’s “a new kind of haegeum.” Anyway, here’s my interpretation of the music video on the first few views of the MV. Suga with his six member gang (BTS) is walking into this noodle shop, takes the chopsticks, goes upstairs, and assassinate the owner or head honcho along with his gang beating up whoever/whatever the operation he has up there. To me the noodle shop represents the industry/cheaters/organized thievery/etc. Suga used the chopsticks which we know is what is used as a tool to feed ourselves, and knock over the coordinator of this organized operation. BTS beat them up/trying to stop them, which could be turning the system on it’s head or basically exposing the corrupt industry with it’s honesty or trueness/integrity. Anyway, Suga take their money that they gained/laundered, which I see as him taking the money that they make/take off of BTS’ backs by using them and their name (which the industry has and still do) while gatekeeping/not giving what they falsely promised, etc. (lot’s of etcs!). Suga leaves with the bag of money, and the cop car stops, but Suga didn’t seem frighten because he didn’t bolt immediately. He goes back to his quarters, and he’s just throwing money around as if he doesn’t take it seriously (i mean BTS has earned money already). I took this as, this was actually not about getting the money, but the justice…the principle. Like, we’re not going to be walked all over, we’ll get what is ours or deserved…for those who are discriminated against, vulnerable (indie artists?)/victims from those in power. It’s about being treated fairly and respect. Anyway, cop Suga is after street Suga, not because he’s a cop stopping a criminal, that he is the criminal himself who doesn’t want the operation they have going stopped or ruined. That cop Suga is the corrupt system (think Gotham) that supports the crime of the guy and the operation happening upstairs at the noodle shop. It’s like they’re working together to keep this oppressive/capitalistic system which make others lose money or not get fair treatment or pay, whatever, etc. Cop Suga points a gun at street Suga, trying to stop him, but he burns the money. It’s not about the money! Cop is pissed, and tries to drown street Suga. Suddenly Suga is able to procure a gun while being drowned in the barrell water. Not only that, all the people who should be working for cop Suga stood by and did not stop street Suga pointing the gun and shooting the corrupt cop (they were already secretly with Suga on this and made the gun accessible for this moment). He’s the bad guy using other bad guys to cheat people. Suga was being driven in a cop car, and when Suga steps out, he throws a black jacket over his shoulder (he didn’t have one, but the cop Suga had one). He walks into the same noodle shop (industry? Society?) and sits down as not only a citizen but almost like a new leader (he has the cop jacket). He has the red chopsticks again, used it against the corrupters, and now can eat in peace. This is just a rough idea of how I took from watching the video a few times, and reading the lyrics along with it too. Just my take, you could disagree lol. This coincides with past sentiments of what he said in past Agust D mixtape songs imo. Like, “What Do You Think?” and “Strange” ft. RM, I recommend reading this lyrics from doolest. Take what you will.
you were correct that the scar refers back to daechwita. haegeum is supposed to be the second installment after daechwita. there is a third part/song amygdala that also has a music video. it's very personal to suga. i'd really recommend it.

Solo releases from most of the guys (Jin- song with coldplay, JK- song for the world cup, Hobi- album and a single with J Cole, Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin- albums. Still waiting on Tae, but he's done 2 tv reality series so he's been busy in his own way. But JK and Tae are probably both dropping albums in the last half of this year). Jin and Hobi enlisted and the rest to follow probably this year or early next year with the goal of being back together in 2025 and a lot more. It's been a busy time to be ARMY. Haegeum actually has 2 meanings, it's an instrument but it's also the lifting of a ban on something that was forbidden. Heyy, im so glad you're back!! I wanted to reccomend a two songs from NF's new album, Hope. The entire albim is great honeslty, but the title track Hope and another song called Happy have MVs. I think you'd really apprecite the lyrics, theyre resl and raw and inspiring. The entire album is about him finally getting his life together and finding hope after his battles with depression anxiety etc. As a long time fan, it made me so incredibly proud Anyway sorry for the long comment, I'm excited for any future content and I'm glad you're doing a little better that those 1-2 weeks 😉
