Hi Gemma, that is excellent. I am super pleased my vidoes have made you feel more confident. 100% confident is amazing. I know sometimes providers or publishers resources don't always give the information in a way that is easy to understand. This is how a tutor is able to help, something I always did in my classrooms, sitting with the student and putting the resources in to context.

Thanks for this vid. You are really good at explaining concepts. However I don't feel you finished it off. At the end we have to re-draft the trial balance and is sales now 1730 on the credit side. The Sales of 865 should be deleted?
Hi Judith,
The original error of £865 will be 'deleted' by the removal journal made in part a, at this stage the sales account would be Dr £865 and CR £865, in effect the balance on the sales account is now zero.
Once part b) has been completed the sales account balance is now £865 CR, as it should have been at the beginning, had the error not been made.

thanks for this, really helpful and really well explained! for part b in real life, could you just credit 1730 straight away to sales and 1730 to debit suspense, rather than doing it in the 2 steps? or is this "wrong"?
Thanks Peter, glad the video has helped. In theory, yes you could but you do need to consider the audit trail of the transactions and the difference it can make if the correction is questioned. So, if you do it separately it makes it easy to confirm what the transaction is for.
when are we getting the elements of costing?
With the AAT's Advanced Synoptic being one of the trickiest exams for Students I am currently producing content, courses and resources to help students with this exam at the moment. Unfortunately it is likely to be towards the end of the year before I am able to add more level 2 content.
