When I was about 11 or 12, I went to his concert the night his parents passed away. He found out right before he was supposed to go on stage. But despite that, he still came out and played an amazing show. Unfortunately, I couldn't meet him after the show. But I am amazed he could actually do the show. It shows how great a performer he is.
I read a quote on wikipedia from him about it (specifically about why he didn't cancel his tour). Apparently continuing to perform was a good distraction from his sorrow. It was 2 hours a night that he couldn't dwell on it because he was too busy.
I love how Al takes common phrases and terms that everyone misuses and points them out. 99.99% of people don't even think about the things they're saying. He seems to have a more literal mind that can recognize incongruencies in things most people take for granted. That's one of the reasons why he's such a great comedy lyricist.
It's great to see Weird Al getting to do these sorts of things. If UHF taught me anything, it's that Weird Al's comedic genius extends beyond his song-spoofs.
a thermos works by having an inner container seperated from the outer housing using a vacuum. it is impossible for any heat to conduct between them because of the lack of matter.
These interviews Al fans have been waiting forever for. Al is so good at making people look like complete idiots and its amazing how well it all fits in.
Okay, I want to start a petition now that Weird Al should make a "Face to Face" interview with Ryan Reynolds but at the end it turns out that it's not fake but real!! 😀
I'd definitely say Weird Al made the purple flashlight sidekick joke up; but given Batman's rogue gallery back in his early comic days alone anything was possible in the DC comics.
Omg! I hll people! Yesterday, i went to a weird al concert, and after, i stood behind the bus and met weird al! I shook his hand, took a picture with him, and got his autograph!!! I actually TALKED TO HIM!!!
-laughing so much at the part where Megan Fox is basically a cat- Well, watching these face to face videos has been a great form of procrastination. Thank you. It was also really great to see you live at the Puyallup Fair that one year when . . . well, when that happened. I don't know how often you do that or what year it was.
Up until this show, Al only interviewed musicians (on AL TV and Much Music). It's nice to see him branch out and interview actors now. Who knows who he'll interview next?
Denzel Washington should start wearing a shirt that says, "I am not Ryan Reynolds."

Yes, Megan Fox was stunning. Oh the memories......

Yep. The best minds always question the way of things rather than just aloofly accept the status quo.
@@dreamlandnightmare The best minds also just don't state the obvious to boost their ego...
"The whole gender of rap"

The Megan Fox interview reminded me of when Weird Al was interviewing Avril Lavigne. LOL XD
Do you work for Channel Frederator or Cartoon Hangover?
Sorry, was the question for me? Just asking :)
To answer that. No I don't. I'm still studying animation.. But again, I'm not so sure if that question is directed at me. :)
BREAKING NEWS: Zack Snyder just announced Denzel Washington has been cast as the Purple Flashlight in Batman vs. Superman
The purple flashlight, make it happen dc
"I had been amusing myself with some string that i had found" dear god i would love to know what the context of that quote is
I've missed these interviews. Thank you, Nerdist, for bringing them back. :)
"You don't have to be all..."
*FURIOUS HAND GESTURES*
And Weird Al's "Dare to be Stupid" was in the original animated Transformers film from the 80's. It's all come full circle.
It's great to see Weird Al getting to do these sorts of things. If UHF taught me anything, it's that Weird Al's comedic genius extends beyond his song-spoofs.
The string dangling bit @6:18 made me bust a gut laughing. Classic “AL-TV” stuff! I can’t wait for more!
Lol people claiming this is fake, well duhhhh he been making these funny videks for a long time look them up. Is hilarious.
Denzel Washington as the Jon Stewart Green Lantern, it would be awesome.
"I probably won't be able to do that"
"Yeah, you're probably right."
Awesome. These interviews never get old! Al is the master.
And then she starred in TMNT.
I love that Al is doing the whole celeb interview video thing again, I loved all of the old interviews aswell.
It's like watching new episodes of AL-TV! Awesome.
This kills me every time I watch it the Megan Fox one lol
a thermos works by having an inner container seperated from the outer housing using a vacuum. it is impossible for any heat to conduct between them because of the lack of matter.
You gotta envy Al's career. Over 30 years and still going strong, still looking good, still nailing pop culture and making awesome parodies. And this.
Weird Al used to do "interviews" like this on "Al TV"
GOD I MISSED THESE INTERVIEWS. Thanks so much guys. This is amazing.
These interviews Al fans have been waiting forever for. Al is so good at making people look like complete idiots and its amazing how well it all fits in.
Knowing the real situation Megan was talking about with the child makes the questions here even funnier.
Lol 8:44, best part
Need to make more! If more people knew about these you'd have millions of views
So happy to see Al making more of these!

Why would anyone be disappointing when they find out this is edited? That's what makes it funny. (plus how do you NOT know)

Great! Now I have to google "how does a thermos work"
Ohhh thank you whoever thought this would be a great thing to put on the nerdist. Soo awesome

Jagwest was here love this guy lol
Is Shyah Lebouff French for where's the beef, you owe me 5 bucks Dave hahaha
Why does he think that Megan's belly would be gross? Anyway, these interviews are funny as hell.
Hand picked Megan Fox reactions by Weird Al were classic. Al is the man!
I actually watch TH-cam for some of the commercials.
This is gonna be the best TH-cam channel ever.
I'd definitely say Weird Al made the purple flashlight sidekick joke up; but given Batman's rogue gallery back in his early comic days alone anything was possible in the DC comics.
Gotta love him!! Still super funny, I hope they put up more "face to face".
Weird Al is awesome. I love it. Thank you Chris and Al.
I love these Al!! MORE!!!
When Denzel made those hand gestures right at the beginning, I lost my sh*t and never got it back.
These are some of the most seamless ones ever!
Hilarious. Mr. Yankovic, you are my hero.
Omg! I hll people! Yesterday, i went to a weird al concert, and after, i stood behind the bus and met weird al! I shook his hand, took a picture with him, and got his autograph!!! I actually TALKED TO HIM!!!
These "interviews" were some of the best things about Al's old "AL TV" specials.
weird al. genius.
This is funny stuff, I am so glad he kept on doing these.
That's a really nice, well-thought-out response.
Oh, how I've missed these! (I'm a 29 year fan) Sooo glad to see this!!
Dr. D is reborn!!!
If I remember right, he did this in the 80's... still funny, love ya AL... still a fan for 30 years.
you just got to love weird al
They're really not there he cut it from other interviews to make it his own the people with him where you saw them from the back were other people.
it is another interview and weird al just talks over it that is why they always have pauses lol
Ahahaa I love these I hope he makes more it's good to see he's still the same old weird al
-laughing so much at the part where Megan Fox is basically a cat-

Great job! Reminds me of his MUCH Music take-over days. Ahhh...I miss those.
I loved this video. Great job so far Chris. Keep up the good work. I look forward to more of these.
the purple flashlight that's when i stopped watching the vid because I had to go lay down after laughing so hard!!! :lololol:
I'm pretty sure it's edited, because if you look at 2:20, the lighting seems off on Al.
"I hope to someday see you acting in something that isn't a horrible mindless piece of crap."
Nailed it.
just watched bill nye in a toyota ad before the show. you should give him a show
6:50 love Al's facial expression. lol
Up until this show, Al only interviewed musicians (on AL TV and Much
Music). It's nice to see him branch out and interview actors now. Who knows who he'll interview next?
