The old graphics, old gun models, old HUD, and old storm is all stuff we need back, but something people don't talk about is the old ambience. The birds chirping, the sound of the wind, etc. It was great.

I still think there is a chance, because last year epic games didn't think it's going to be popular. Also it was made in a short period and only for a month, but now when they have been making it for a year I think there is a pretty big chance they try to do it authentic.

Most people within the current Fortnite community don’t understand game development at all. Big game studios like Epic Games, they don’t just throw out the old and replace everything, just STORE EVERYTHING someplace else to be accessed later on. It is very easy to revert back to old features and systems, and one thing people don’t know about the developers is that the developers tend to organize everything and make sure everything is optimized just in case they need to revert or update something in the future.
I swear if we don‘t get the old weapon models I‘ll lose it. And something people tend to look over is the old storm. Not the border but the actual storm clouds. They used to be so detailed and vibrant and now they look very generic.

When season 6 rolls around and we get the purple and gold Pump-action shotgun, I hope the 200 damage headshot returns. It was honestly a core part of the era.
Wait a second... if they're only doing month long seasons for OG, wouldn't Season 6 be in June, and Season 7 be in July? That means that we won't have Fortnitemares or Winterfest for those seasons (unless they go with "Christmas in July"). Even if everything else is OG OG, it'll still feel weird because those holiday events were so integral to those respective seasons.

I think they need to put the heath bar in the middle again, have OG models, have OG graphics, OG sounds…. They will actually make a perfect OG… I feel like they can keep current movement maybe change it to give it a more OG look.

My biggest complaint about the og we got was no old weapon models. Just like you said, I saw them in the loading screen and was like" Oh my God they brought it back!!!" I started playing and was so disappointed to see no old weapon models.
They ABSOLUTELY could easily bring back the og weapon models, a good example of this is after they changed the way healing worked they added a version of all the heals that has the og mechanics like no moving while healing and instead of gradually healing more and more you have to wait thw whole timer to get hp. Another idea i like is maybe giving a free wrap that would make the weapons have og models.
They intended to do this last year, fun fact (every single weapon that was used for Season OG were separate in the files); but were probably stopped by time constraints and working on the other modes (Lego, Rocket Racing, Festival) at that point.
I know in last years OG season they recreated the grenade in order for it to be the same 100 damage instead of the nerfed chapter 4 40 damage version. and in creative mode you could see there were two different grenade types the new OG one and the old chapter 4 one, so it wouldn't be to hard for them to create all of the old weapon models and just add them to the game as there own version. especially if they are investing more money into fornite og now since they know it is worth the investment and plus how hard could it be as they are making completely new weapons for chapter 6 anyways.
This was actually the plan for the season at first; every single weapon in Season OG was different in the files compared to the weapons they were based on (the Pumps in Season OG could kill with one headshot, for example). I'm hoping they didn't give up on wanting the old models on weapons and bring it back this year.
Look, we all love OG Fortnite and had great memories on it. We look back on those days with grateful hearts, and amazing memories. But it should stay that way. It's arguable that even Builds mode sort of messed with the nostalgia of OG because of how advanced building is nowadays. There's no real workaround without nerfing builds

I commented on another video that the only way about it would be to make an entirely separate “game” within the launcher that is Fortnite OG. That way Epic could separate the aspects of the old and new games. I know this will never happen though.

IMO the old weapon models don’t really matter that much. Even if everything was a 1 to 1 clone of OG fortnite it still wouldn’t be the same for people who played back then. It’s just fun to have fresh stuff and old maps and aesthetic. For me it doesn’t really matter if everything is exactly like old fortnite because it will never truly be old fortnite
Last year my friend who graduated last may said that it wasn’t truly og fortnite because it started on season 5 instead of season 1. Which I agree and I wish they put actual locations from season 9 - x as that was may favorite era.
The thing is to truly bring back OG Fortnite they'd have to re-release an old stable 2017 build of the game from season 1 running on the original game engine for us to download through epic games or the console game stores but change it so that everybody is a default and there are no cosmetics. But that would defeat Epic Games' motive, the only reason they are bringing OG Fortnite back is to try and bring back thousands of old players so that they will spend money on the game again. Therefore in my opinion I think this years OG Fortnite return is going to be exactly the same as last years but with a few minor improvements. Please prove me wrong Epic Games.
I do not mind the mantling and sprinting. What i do mind is the time it takes to regain sprint/stamina. But also i would love it if they revert it back to OG OG.
I have faith that the loot pool and map will be on point, less faith in graphics, animations, sounds and weapon models. It's an "OG" recreation mode which gives you an inkling of how it was back in the day
as much as i like building i think og og should have turbo building disabled since it wasnt a thing in season 1 through like 6 or 7 i think that would make it feel so much more authentic
the movement in chapter 5 that was added i didnt really mind the only thing i should think shouldent of been added was parkour and sprinting in fortnite i mean i guess it was for zero build but building was what made the game so much more special back then, it actually made the endgames feel like endgames and not glancing to the minimap and seeing 5 people remaining

We will never simply be able to reexperience OG fortnite because they won't change the gun models and sound effects back to the old days, and the graphics are currently on unreal engine 5, but OG fortnite was on unreal engine 4.
My creative maps from 2018 still have the original movement, you cant sprint, mantle, slide. I feel like they could revert movement if they wanted too.
They didn't bring the jungle biome when season 8 arrived because of the lore, basicly agent jones went back in time to fix all of their "errors" meaning no kevin exploding, meaning no ice king, meaning no fire king, meaning no volcano / jungle biome meaning no monsters vs mech fight, meaning the zero point never got super unstable. (nobody cares about the lore everyone just wanted to go back tho)
They should even create the mistakes they made in chapter 1 like the double pump and the infinity blade because although they can make u rage and that I really think that it will give the exact feeling especially for season 7 and the infinity blade
I do hope that they keep zero build as a gamemode because that filters out the majority of sweats. I am also in support of them removing the movement additions they added, but i believe that in order for them to make zb playable theyd need to keep mantling as an option
I fully quit chapter 5 because of the movement. I hated how slow it felt and how it forced me to run. I wish the old movement were to come back thats a massive part of it for a lot of players who havent played the ch4 and ch5 season.
The old movement was not slow well I don’t really know cause I started season 8 chapter one but then they had like auto running so it would auto run and it was fast
i dont know about reload surviving the reason people went to that mode was because they didnt want to deal with new metas if og is coming back and it has ranked i cant see reloads player base surviving

I dont understand why they dont bring out og Fortnite as a permanent game. What disadvantage will it have for Epic? I stopped playing Fortnitet at Season 8 Chapter 1 and returned in Chapter 2 or 3 and the game was like nothing before. Its current form is unplayable for me, so if they bring out the OG Seasons I hope it will be the exact same that I played in 2019

I've been playing fortnite since 2017 and nowadays ZB is my go to gamemode. I'd say I'm pretty good builder and editor but I just don't like the build mode anymore. I hate boxfights and back when many of us started there was no such thing as box fights. Removing turbobuild would make us build more like we used to.

The storm clouds where introduced at the start of Season 1 in version 1.8
Before that from v1.6 to v1.7.2 in Season 0 there wheren't any clouds

IMO the old weapon models don’t really matter that much. Even if everything was a 1 to 1 clone of OG fortnite it still wouldn’t be the same for people who played back then. It’s just fun to have fresh stuff and old maps and aesthetic. For me it doesn’t really matter if everything is exactly like old fortnite because it will never truly be old fortnite
people complain about building but sprinting and mantling do the exact same thing, they speed up fights and increase the skill cap

Last year my friend who graduated last may said that it wasn’t truly og fortnite because it started on season 5 instead of season 1. Which I agree and I wish they put actual locations from season 9 - x as that was may favorite era.
The thing is to truly bring back OG Fortnite they'd have to re-release an old stable 2017 build of the game from season 1 running on the original game engine for us to download through epic games or the console game stores but change it so that everybody is a default and there are no cosmetics. But that would defeat Epic Games' motive, the only reason they are bringing OG Fortnite back is to try and bring back thousands of old players so that they will spend money on the game again. Therefore in my opinion I think this years OG Fortnite return is going to be exactly the same as last years but with a few minor improvements. Please prove me wrong Epic Games.
I do not mind the mantling and sprinting. What i do mind is the time it takes to regain sprint/stamina. But also i would love it if they revert it back to OG OG.
I have faith that the loot pool and map will be on point, less faith in graphics, animations, sounds and weapon models. It's an "OG" recreation mode which gives you an inkling of how it was back in the day
as much as i like building i think og og should have turbo building disabled since it wasnt a thing in season 1 through like 6 or 7 i think

the movement in chapter 5 that was added i didnt really mind the only thing i should think shouldent of been added was parkour and sprinting in fortnite i mean i guess it was for zero build but building was what made the game so much more special back then, it actually made the endgames feel like endgames and not glancing to the minimap and seeing 5 people remaining

I know this wouldn't happen but for the first day they should make shotguns so they don't have damage fall of range like season one so newer players can expirence those old glitches
We will never simply be able to reexperience OG fortnite because they won't change the gun models and sound effects back to the old days, and the graphics are currently on unreal engine 5, but OG fortnite was on unreal engine 4.

My creative maps from 2018 still have the original movement, you cant sprint, mantle, slide. I feel like they could revert movement if they wanted too.
They didn't bring the jungle biome when season 8 arrived because of the lore, basicly agent jones went back in time to fix all of their "errors" meaning no kevin exploding, meaning no ice king, meaning no fire king, meaning no volcano / jungle biome meaning no monsters vs mech fight, meaning the zero point never got super unstable. (nobody cares about the lore everyone just wanted to go back tho)
They should even create the mistakes they made in chapter 1 like the double pump and the infinity blade because although they can make u rage and that I really think that it will give the exact feeling especially for season 7 and the infinity blade
I will fucking donate my soul to Epic Games if they bring back the original Burst model.

I do hope that they keep zero build as a gamemode because that filters out the majority of sweats. I am also in support of them removing the movement additions they added, but i believe that in order for them to make zb playable theyd need to keep mantling as an option

I fully quit chapter 5 because of the movement. I hated how slow it felt and how it forced me to run. I wish the old movement were to come back thats a massive part of it for a lot of players who havent played the ch4 and ch5 season.

The old movement was not slow well I don’t really know cause I started season 8 chapter one but then they had like auto running so it would auto run and it was fast
i dont know about reload surviving the reason people went to that mode was because they didnt want to deal with new metas if og is coming back and it has ranked i cant see reloads player base surviving

4:51 I'm decently sure "The OG OG returns" is a diss on other games copying fortnite by making classic gamemodes after Fortnite OG was super successful, not exactly a promise that this one will be more authentic. They're saying their OG season was basically the first one, "the OG OG".

I dont understand why they dont bring out og Fortnite as a permanent game. What disadvantage will it have for Epic? I stopped playing Fortnitet at Season 8 Chapter 1 and returned in Chapter 2 or 3 and the game was like nothing before. Its current form is unplayable for me, so if they bring out the OG Seasons I hope it will be the exact same that I played in 2019

They should disable turbo building on that mode! tbh in my opinion they should disable it even on battle royale, turbo building should be on ranked only.
I've been playing fortnite since 2017 and nowadays ZB is my go to gamemode. I'd say I'm pretty good builder and editor but I just don't like the build mode anymore. I hate boxfights and back when many of us started there was no such thing as box fights. Removing turbobuild would make us build more like we used to.

i hate the sliding and grappling in fortnite it doesn't fit at all it just makes the game far too fast with players just moving around your builds in a weird way so you cant even keep track of where they are, i think it should definetely be removed for this mode to be og but that's my opinion. You can't call it OG OG and keep stuff like that in that makes the game something else completely.

Before I even finish the video, I think it'll be perfect if they add back the old hud, old graphics, old movement etc. It's the small things that make the biggest difference.
