Ditto, this worked great! I tried commercial products and they did not work. The only thing I would add is use a razor blade with the solution if all does not come up . The solution actually helps loosen the burnt so a blade gets it off super easy. Thank you for a super helpful vid.
I think putting dish soap into the mixture is a good idea. I use vinegar and baking soda, which works, but I think the detergent will help. Best method though is to never cook on a dirty cooktop, then you won't have to do that much cleaning. Pot bottoms also need to be clean for best results.
Yes that works as well and you're absolutely right, one shouldn't cook on a dirty cooktop and unclean pot bottom makes it worse and can even cause scratches. Thanks J
@@amzolinek When I was growing up my mom never bothered much with the bottoms of the pots and neither did I until I got a glass top stove. Now I keep the bottoms of my pots clean. They look a lot better that way too, although no one really sees them - I don't hang them because my kitchen is too small.
I've been using a commercial product and i figured it would be easy to make something like this at home. Cool stuff. Thanks for sharing your kitchen wizardry!
Thanks for your kindness in sharing this video! I have been using 2 of these ingredients (vinegar and soda), but will try making a paste adding the dish-washing liquid! Thanks again! Greetings from Montreal! :)
I am certain that this combination of products will work to clean the stovetop. However, I wouldn't recommend using a paper towel on it as paper towels are a wood product and have fibers that can scratch the glass - same reason you should not use them to clean eyeglasses. However, microfiber cloths are the perfect thing to use to polish and buff the glass after cleaning it.
Thank you so much for this cleaning recipe. I tried it on my daughter-in-law’s Miele stove top which had some horrible stuck on oil (I think from when she sprays Pam on the skillets) which had hardened and I tried everything to remove it but only your magical recipe did the trick. I wonder if she’ll notice how beautiful it looks?
@@amzolinek She did not mention anything to me at all. But it's okay. God saw how beautiful it looked and the effort I put on it. I also did it for my son so that he doesn't have to be furious at her for keeping the stove so disgusting. And will not have to end up buying a new one.
Thank you for your considerations of detailed and thorough explanation of not only process, but posting all product information as well. Very professional in my opinion. ✨👩🏽🔬
I have a portable glass induction top, just one burner, i’m going to try this on it. It literally hurts my heart that I clean it and use it all the time, but it has these rings of calcium build up that always make it look dirty. Thank you, wish me luck!
To that date I've had it for about a year and i do clean it with this method everyday or every 2 days depending on what i cook and how much dirty it gets
Using a razor blade removes alot of that.I use barkeepers friend cleaner soft cleaner and a scrubbie sometimes also sometimes comet .Clean then shine with Weimans stove stop daily cleaner. There is no reason to wait that amount of time to clean that.
Thank you. Worked fantastic. No commercial products worked. This made the stove look literally like new. Thanks again
