It's our final Japan video and we end in Tokyo of course! 👀LMK if you caught the easter egg at the end and of course, I appreciate you guys/gals for sticking around for this trip! Or do, i'm not your dad I guess. Love you. Kinda.
would be great if Okinawa next there are some crazy cars there i seen 180 240 rx7 fd s15 s14 s13 almost everything there before on the street not even car meet
8:30 yes, it is true. locals hate those Go-Kart things. they have caused various traffic accidents and ran into pedestrians too. the fact that they drive so slow is also a hazard and nuisance for cars around
@@Kev27RS I work near the Rainbow Bridge (that round loop part where he said in the video they decided to race each other) and I have almost run over those karts at that same spot, because it was hard to see them further down, near APit Autobacs, I have had close calls with them again (different day) as they were suuuuuper slow going over a right-hand turn intersection and clogging the traffic if you are in Japan, do it... but if you have an International Drivers License, you would be better off renting a JDM car for a day instead
@@Kev27RS there are many companies that do JDM Rentals in Japan. I have not dealt with them (as I have my own car) but shouldn't be hard to find them with a quick Google Search :)
Could you consider doing a “how to plan a trip to Japan as a car enthusiast” video? My wife and I have discussed going but I don’t really know where to start and what is worth seeing and spending money on.
Alex I’ve been watching you for years with Fitment industries and now onto Martini Works, and I’m proud of you man keep up the fantastic content! My Significant other and I went to Japan the first week of November and the car scene is way more diverse from the inside looking out. I’m glad you got a chance to see the inside scoop and bring this experience to the channel
I was there at the GT World Series and it was a blast. I hope they bring the event to Japan again next year. It's the home of Gran Turismo after all... If you are going to Daikoku, you want to go on Friday or Saturday evenings. Those are the craziest days and you never know what you are going to see. Sunday mornings are cool because it's mostly Super/Hyper Cars next time you are in town, you should keep an eye/ear out for Secret Meets. Daikoku is cool, but Secret Meets (or Invite-only meets) are the REAL underground car scene you want to see
I remember beating GT1 and GT2 back in the day i never would have thought that it would get this big over time it's nuts! It's great that they are continuing the game's tradition.
What a beautiful series. Thanks again for this. Now that you've given us this, you're going to taste test a Ferrari, right? ...right?! This bit won't stop until it happens, Alex. Give the people what we voted for 😋❤️
The perception we have of car culture in japan is skewed. It seems like every corner is sonething cool, but 98% of japanese people are driving around in stock kei cars. Also, most of the cool tuning shops are in the countryside
17:17 Yeah, Sunday night isn’t the ideal time to visit the Daikoku PA. On Sundays, going in the morning is the best approach. In general, Friday and Saturday night are the best days / time to visit Daikoku! You still got to see cool cars though! You got lucky! 😉
I wish i knew what the Algo was doing to mess with you. I mostly have good things to say about the Algo (on my end way more small creators i wanted to always see but it never showed me) but out of all the larger channels i follow they have done you EXTREMELY DIRTY for the tier of content you recently started producing. Please don't lose heart, if you have to shift the game a bit so be it but i hope your overseas adventures pay off not just as life experiences but youtube views, more should see this. I don't know, maybe start a video like this with typical piece to camera and a normal setup in a office, i'm at a loss why the hell its not boosting you for making better content than ever. Its like its confused a infographics/commentary youtuber became a travel blog and doesn't know what to do is my best guess.
I’ve watched countless car “influencer” videos on their tours of Japan and this is the first one I have come across that touched on Gran Turismo. Unlocked a core memory for me. I played that game as a preteen because my parents didn’t want to get me something like GTA and that might have been the initial spark that led me to have this interest in cars today. Because of this video and reflecting back, I believe that’s my earliest memory of being fascinated with cars. I wish I could remember which game I played though….regardless, thanks for this.
out of curiosity, do you know what you ate that made you sick? also, japan is probably the best country to ever have diarrhea as toilets are plentiful, clean, and easily accessible... and NO GAPS BETWEEN THE STALL PANELS. total privacy ftw!

It looks fun but apparently the locals don’t really appreciate it.

Japanese here. Yes I hate them lol. It was fun when it first came out, but know it’s just a safety hazard.
Your next video is literally what I was going to suggest, can’t wait lets goo
My wife and I met Massa at the top rank booth at Rs meeting this year at Fuji Speedway. He is an absolutely fantastic person.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words! We just did a lil bit for 24 hours, haha!
Great video!! Looking forward to the next one...Japan is a MUST at some point for me!
Gran Turismo is what got me interested in cars and it was also when I first learned about the Skyline.

don't try going to Daikoku by taxi!!!

Hoping I can take advantage of the exchange rate and make it to Japan sooner than later.
It's more the other foreign tourists that hate on the kart tour thingies rather than the locals.
Slammed van in tokyo wuuuuuuuuuuuut fire
Van culture is my favorite culture; hands down right next to low riders
I thought so too
Yes please create such guide for me. Sorry to be selfish. But I hope I will also visit Japan one day. Thanks!
I live really close to their studio.
