No human being can make 100% perfect shape like machine to fit into steel ring pressure cooker or water bottle plastic caps. But now a days in majority of the shops they are selling 100% perfect Shaped Mud Vessels for water bottles, idly pot, rice pressure cooker. Natural Mud cannot withhold extreme pressure like Stainless steel pressure cooker. To test whether it is Handmade / Dye made, u can touch the inner side of the vessel and feel. If soft & smooth then it is chemical mixed dye product. But if it is rough (small up's & down's) then it is handmade. Second, it should give good pottery sound if original. Third, if u smell it should give atleast mild mud flavour. Fourth, to look attractive they apply dark shinning mud color outside and also do some floral painting. This blocks all the pores of the mud. Then what is the benefit of using such blocked pots. If u pour water in real pot & see outside, the pot will get wet till the water level & balance part will be dry. If it is chemical mixed & painted, u cannot see the wetness from outside. Now a days everyone is cheating in the name of tradition. Whether it is brass, bronxe, pottery, iron everything is chemical mixed. So gain knowledge first before buying. Don't see attractiveness of the vessels. Health is more important than non living products.
