    Amazing. A lot of people think they can teach but you actually do with style and confidence. What a treat to have someone actually take the time to elequently make their points. No rush, perfect instruction. I learned more in the last hour than I have in three weeks taught by people that move so fast I need to stop three and four times before it's clear. Bless you!

    This is an amazing video! I'm building a new site with Wordpress and I kept avoiding Elementor because it didn't make any sense to me and was not intuitive. This video helped me learn the basics of Elementor, not just for a home page but for many other pages. I think I also watched your video on the Astra Theme which was also very helpful. Hi Adam...I have just started watching your videos and I can very well say that you are actually doing an excellent stuff for people like us.
    I am planning to launch a website and little bit confused. I want to have a full page background image in home page and there would be many categories and there as well I would need a full page image. For hosting I am using Grow Big plan on your recommendation from Siteground along with cloudflare CDN (so have optimization and caching taken care of) and again I am using Astra + elementor (free as of now), basis your recommendation.
    Now I am confused and want to know what should be my image size and pixels for background images and category images.
    If you have any video on it or any recommendations that will be a big help too.

    • @trailsnet
      @trailsnet ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a similar question. I will not be using a full page background, but I will be featuring about six small to medium-sized images on my home page. First, is that too many images for optimal page loading speed? Second, what is the best image size? I will be using a two column format (6 rows) with a linked heading in one column and an accompanying/related image in the other column. My main concern is that this might be too much "stuff" on my home page and could result in a slow loading speed. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the excellent instructional video!!! 👍

    Hi Adam, thank you for sharing this video, very helpful. I had another theme before in which I had already customized, but I didn't like it. So I decided to follow all the steps you gave and I customized the CSS with the files you shared and everything. I am already doing a lot of things, but some are not working: I cannot edit the content using the Elementor (the edit button is not working), and I couldn't change the hover color of my menu icons, even by following your instructions. Do you think that the previous Theme and it changes might be influencing it? I really appreciate if you can help me. Thanks.

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A good first question is who is your Webhost? There may be some caching system they are forcing on you that needs to be cleared. Second, you're saying when you click on the edit with Elementor button that it does not work?

    Hi Adam, thank you for this material, very clean and clear, indeed. I am totally new to Elementor (just bought a pro version yesterday) and I am considering Astra theme to combine with it. A question: Elementor Pro seems to offer plenty of ready to use solutions for building the page, so does it make any sense to invest in a pro version of Astra or a free Astra theme is sufficient with proElementor to create quickly a nice, fully customized website (customized colours, header, fonts)? Does proAstra offer anything that proElementor does not cover?

      Once you begin editing a page in Elementor and save it, when you're looking at the WordPress site of it there are no longer options to edit anything, everything has to be done in Elementor at that point.

    Thanks Adam for a great tutorial. I just bought the Pro version with your link. In Elementor, is there not a way to directly edit the actual page (like in Beaver Builder) rather than having to type in a separate text editor? I hope the question makes sense. I really like the fact that in beaver Builder you can directly click on what area of a page you want to change and you can change it. In Elementor, you have to click the left hand 'input' area rather than the actual page itself. I find the separate input area terribly annoying. Hopefully there is a setting that enables you to do what Beaver Builder does. Please say 'Yes, there is!"

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Elementor works very similar to Beaver Builder and that anything you want to edit you would just click on and then you can change whatever settings or input in the left area. Beaver Builder I find to be worse in that when you click on something you get a pop-up that covers everything and that's for me would make any change.

    Adam, great stuff! I've got an existing WP website that I built a new Landing Page for using Elementor. I may be using the wrong terms but I would like the Landing Page I built to be where visitors first "land" when the URL is entered and then the call to action will take them into certain sections of my site or to a secondary site I have built.
    My question is can the Landing Page become the place where visitors land after the site has been built? The goal is one of the call to action selections will then take them to the traditional Home Page as WP calls it or to a secondary site.
    Thanks! This has not been easy to find a solution for so I may be using the wrong terms.
    Bart

      In WordPress you can choose any page on your website be the first page someone sees. Just go to settings > reading options and set it right there.

    Hi Adam, you said at around 31:43, "It's only going to work if you use the CSS I gave you" regarding the "on-top" entry you made under "CSS Classes" in order to make one of the boxes appear as though it's on top of the other. Would you mind if I asked you what that CSS was that you said you gave?

    I would have never figured out how to use wordpress without your videos & DFY downloads! Thank you SO much for all your awesome vids! I keep running into the same issue though, my navigation menu shows up on the homepage and all other pages while I am editing in elementor but when I go to view the live page it appears that the navigation menu only shows on the homepage and none of the other pages. I finally figured out that the menus are in fact there but for some reason, they are showing white text on white background so they can't be seen. The code you provided has the text properly set to black but for some reason, it is only black on the homepage. How can I fix this?

    I have one query and hope you can answer. First of all thanks for many many videos of yours especially on ELEMENTOR. Let me ask a help .
    1. I have ACF Pro Plugin. Can I use Anywhere Elementor or Elementor pro to DISPLAY custom fields created byu ACF PRO ?
    2. THe custom fields may contain Drop Down, Check box, Buttons, Select box etc.
    3. If those dose not support, Can I use Formidable Pro for this purpose ?
    4. ANy Other Options.
    It will be a great help If I get advise

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can display ACF field data, but it is very limited. It's just the data, you can't connect it into the various modules that Elementor has.

    Adam, I must have missed something. I set my H1 & H2's in GeneratePress to be shadows into light. However, when I pull a new heading into any section, it reverts to some default that must be prepackaged with Elementor. Any ideas how to remedy this? Thanks! And if I may, someday, I hope to be able to create amazing tutorials for my WordPress friends to the level of which you have created. I find myself going back to watch each of them time and time again!

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you configured them for the theme not for Elementor. So you have an option, you can have Elementor inherit from the theme, in this case you would go into the Elementor settings and there's an option right therefore it. Or in Elementor you can set your defaults there. It's entirely up to you.

      Thanks Adam, I must have been having a serious brain lapse. Not sure how I overlooked that. Thanks for your quick response. Now everything is working just skippy. This is my first time with Elementor. Working on a new site with it and looking to acquire Beaver Builder soon to start becoming familiar with it. Currently using Divi on a vast majority of my client sites, but want to expand my horizons.

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes these are both excellent page builders, Elementor and Beaver Builder. I use them both and they are super reliable and easy to work with. I also like Divi3 however I find that it requires a lot of custom CSS and crazy settings to get the same output that you can easily get with Elementor without any code.

    • @greghyatt1601
      @greghyatt1601 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am uber stoked to acquire Beaver Builder, so I can run side-by-side testing to see which one will ultimately become my turn to solution for clients. While I have been somewhat of a Div evangelist, I always keep my options open to be able to deliver a more refined look to my designs. I have to admit, that I am a true fanboy of your amazing videos. I truly appreciate the work that you bring forth to the WordPress community with your easy-to-understand tutorials.
      Maybe someday in the future, I can get you on my podcast to shed some light into the pagebuilder world.
