This man is not lying. Speaking firsthand as a business owner I can honestly say that when you are first getting started everything is safe. If you are not properly connected in the right channels, the minute your success starts to become publicly known you become a target. The bullseye doesn't come off until you are dead or at least neutralized. They have a way to either capitalize from your absence or they've figured out how to simply take your business and turn a magnified profit. It is about dollars made and dollars to be made and nothing less. If the safeguards aren't in place you are walking dead.

Billy Garland Comes across very sincere. When he speaks about his son you can hear the pride and the love in his voice I know there’s things 2Pac‘s mother went through, and she means a lot to the black power movement. We should always lift her up and celebrate her, but there is two sides to every story. A lot of us have had the experience of our moms gassing us up about our fathers Only to find out later our mothers kept us away from our father for their own selfish reasons I’m just glad he’s getting to tell his side of it before he leaves this world. I am a witness to relatives who go through struggles with substance abuse, and the instability that substance abuse brings about I can very easily see a scenario where, even if he want it to turn the entire world upside down looking for his son, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. When you’re being evicted every three months before you can get the boxes, unpacked good, you have to move that can make it very difficult for anyone who wants to find you to be able to do so I had a Auntie like that God rest her soul, there were times where we actually thought we would have to have her declared dead Because we couldn’t find her or my cousin we would go to her last known address and people would say Deborah moved out five months ago so all I’m saying is everybody should be fair and listen to the man side of the story with an open mind and try to put yourself in his shoes and put yourself in 2Pac‘s mothers shoes for that matter Because like I said, a lot of instability and moving around comes with addiction and substance abuse.

People who say 2pac's wasn't really himself don't actually listen to the lyrics. They act like the guy constantly portrayed this tough gangsta. Every album he's made has songs which are vulnerable and violent, even before his debut album 2pacolypse Now, yet some prefer to focus only on the violent and build his whole personality around that. I've listened to pretty much every song of 2pac, even the "unreleased" ones (my favourites) and I've never heard Pac claim a gang or make any false claims towards his lifestyle.
I take it that people just hear something and run with it like it's the truth. Similar to how they say Pac always rhymes "Hennessey" with "enemies". That was literally 2 songs. People need to think for themselves.

A short time later TUPAC was killed…. a month later i got a letter in the mail from DEATHROW. They made me a honorary member of his fan club… it was signed 2pac

@@kinggeorge9331 you're hilarious. If you read that letter w/o bias, you can see that Pac is merely geeked to the fact that his uncle's a writer...a trait that Pac has aswell.
Based off that connection, he's just going on because he's realizing there's so much about himself he may learn from them.
Now, I know you're going to say, "well why not just ask his father?"
Well, I'm going to ask you...where do you think he got his Uncle's address from to write him? If you look at the visitor's list, you clearly see that other than his lawyer, Billy Garland (Relationship: Parent) visits him a few times, a Paulette Garland (Relationship: Other) visits him, and another Garland (Relationship: Sibling) visits him.
Those other Garland's would have only known to visit him because of Billy. Therefore it's safe to assume that Billy isn't hiding anything from him and that Pac is simply gassed to see where some of his talents are coming from and is trying to simply be w/ them and get as much info from them as possible. He's probably asked them ALL the same questions over and over because he's seeing his own traits in them and is just happy to learn.

    1. The Royalty issue … standard time to receive. You don’t drop an album in May then receive the royalties in October. Pac was in the business long enough to understand that. Pac was an incredible artist but his business acumen was not on that level. I believe with the help of Quincy Jones he would have gradually improved on the business side. Napoleon even said in retrospect that Pac wasn’t good on the business side. He was 25 at the time. We can only speculate on what anyone who passed at an early age would have become.

PAC sold over 2.5 million in less than a year. He has been recouped those recording and marketing expenses. PAC asked for his profit and loss statements and never got them. I believe it came out after his passing that PAC's royalties were paying for other artists expenses. If he wasnt good on business he would not have been working so hard from Oct '95 to Sept '96. He was trying to build his empire. The DR "licensing" thing he did was actually smart. 3 album agreement -he comes with a double and then completes Makaveli by August '96 thus completing the agreement. That's why he was moving forward. Formed a new production company and had leverage to move on creatively.

This is the argument alot of people are trying to make in regards to his father’s intentions. He says he wasn’t after the estate but at the end of this video he says “just throw me a couple of dollars and I’ll be on my way” I think he should of been more concerned with finally having his son in his life rather than getting paid. I didn't really know my biological father very well and only remember seeing and talking with him on a handful of occassions. People always told me that I look just like him and that we had many common characteristics and behaviors. I wasn't old enough to remember my mom and dad splitting up or wh, but someone told me years ago when I was about 18 to never badmouth my father because of that reason, and that I at least knew who my father was and has his name and many don't even know that much, and I have always kept that advice to heart, despite Western society trying to teach everyone to demonize an absent and/or non-financially supporting father.
For those who believe in the Bible it says to honor your Mother and Father and I didn't see any exceptions to that verse. And if someone doesn't criticize their parents then why should anyone else have the right to criticize them?

Regarding the Bible, it also says that anyone who doesn't support his family, especially those of his own household has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. I think context is key. After the first interview I had formed a negative opinion of this man... Especially immediately after that first interview, Reggie Wright did a response video on Bomb First and called this man a 'deadbeat' and gave his narrow viewpoint about this man (which I almost bought into)... But after listening to him word for word, I can can only thank Art for providing this man this platform to speak his mind like this and give his viewpoints, and I can thoroughly say the man is genuine, he never made excuses for not being there but gave a very valid explanation and is very well spoken and has a great degree of diplomacy (I can see where PAC got that from - his Mom & Pups) (and Reggie, must withdraw his judgemental statements)... In fact, Reggie on certain issues, I will rather believe a guy who himself looks like he can be a fibber (Keefe D), over Reggie one some issues in dispute. More so, since he Mobb James have such a great rapport, despite Keefe D and others lamenting that Mobb James and Suge were an FBI snitches (that puts Reggie also in that same basket)... And that brings us back to what Tupac's Pops is saying here, that there was more to PAC's death than meets the eye.
