I LOVE THIS SONG! It's the quintessential post apocalyptic song for me! I would like an english translation though sometimes I prefer not knowing what is actually being said.
I still love this, and it still makes me sad. You've tagged it as heero yuy but it actually belongs to Arai Tougo from Sotsugyou M. It comes from the M Sotsugyou album unless I miss my guess. The song is all the more touching if you know the context it probably comes from - which is one of the manga chapters where Arai meets and befriends a girl who dies of illness not long afterwards. SotsuM was never translated into English, so it's not very well known and so context gets lost.

On the sleeve for the final CD, from which disc this song comes, the song is credited to Arai Tougo as a character song. It does not belong to EMU itself. And I meant the manga/novels/drama CDs have not been formally translated and released in the English speaking market. The songs have been translated by fans many times, including me...
Oh...I just realised something I left out of my last post - blame my exam revision! Of course Arai Tougo was voiced by Midorikawa Hikaru ;) so it should be considered as a character song for Arai from Sotsugyou M by Midorikawa Hikaru (rather than from EMU, as it is NOT included in the officially EMU releases). I hope that made sense >

This song reminds me a lot of skid row’s song “18 and Life”, from the 80’s. It has a very 80’s hair metal power ballad type energy/feel to it.
