look i am a huge td fan as well, but objectively, in THIS class... you probably haven't heard Klaus Schulze with Wolfgang Tiepold on cello, check out for example My Ty She / Ballet 3 or The Cello. And you haven't heard Digitonal, check out Silver Poetry, then tell me I am right. In comparison, TD have a rather naive approach to harmonies, a kraut and/or Edgar thing maybe. And Hoshiko is a dilettante compared to Tiepold.
Love this Session! These guys are my very favorites, & definitely progressing as time moves forward. I've always loved TD, but in the last few years they've really spread their wings & taken flight! "LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY TANGERINE DREAM!!"

TD had released SOME outstanding music in the early 2000s - Jeanne 'dArc; Madcap's Flaming Duty and Inferno. But a whole lot of miasma... Then heard this on Christmas Day 2017! First time I'd heard Ulrich Schnaus at all. Barely breathed for the next hour. Thought that I would pay good money to see a performance like that. A month later tickets went on sale for the Union Chapel Gig. Took 9 hours to get there. But well worth it!!! And as for Quantum Gate? Straight into my top 5 TD albums
