Hooray! I made it into a video. I was your first round opponent and when I saw your name I wondered if you were recording with some strange brew. Then you cast Peer into the Abyss on turn 1. My deck is a budgetish mono-black Reanimator that I managed to 5-0 with this past weekend. It's pretty close to one you made a video with a long time ago. Glad I could help you make content.
At 19:23 the play to make was playing the land and responding to the sacrifice trigger by casting a dark ritual. That way if they forced the ritual you could respond to the trigger again by casting another ritual off your city of traitors, due to it being a swamp.
Yes it's the worse of the two but it's something black has used for a long time. Rounding down would allow you to use these cards for free on 1 life, which is not what they are designed for.
I’ve experimented with a similar shell in my local meta to ok results 3-2. This was before the global crisis, but I’m glad to see some explosive builds! I was playing no tombs, only cities, a few u seas and a volcanic. Limduls vault was amazing in settling up the combo, and I went with discard over defense grid/ karn. No leds, along with brainstorm, and ancestral knowledge as the fifth linduls vault. Would love to discuss this more via email, since I don’t have Twitter
isn't the Helm of Obedience there for the second piece of the combo of the Rest in Peace/Leyline of the Void wincon? So in case you play a matchup where the deck is weak to Leyline you can conveniently have the combo also ready to go, at 1 cost less than Lattice and Citadel
Because Lotus Petal is by far one of the most explosive cards in a Storm deck, what with being a 0 cost artifact that adds to the storm count WHILE providing COLOURED mana. It is mostly impactful in the early turns, and as the game goes on, loses its impact. Opponent had already lost a game due to Lotus Petal being the coloured source to cast Dark Ritual. It makes perfect sense to name it T1 G2 since you've already lost to it.
I was sitting there for a second going..."why isn't the 4 color jund player quitting after lattus hits play" and then I remembered force of vigor is a card.
You can't even cast Force of Vigour with a Lattice in play though since you can't pay any mana from your lands and all cards become colourless so you can't pitch them to the Force
33:13 missplay...very bad... It was -2 karn, get lattice, play lattice, than cast from the top the other karn, +1 karn on citadel... Next turn ensnaring and you win

T1: Land+pass or Draw 25
MonoB Storm: 3:06
wow that's a fresh take on that meme, really turns the meaning on its head and gives it an extra kick of humour
that´s the most amazing turn 1 kill i´ve ever seen.
Douglas Pintor Two varieties of turn 1 kills in one veedio! Storm off with Peer AND lock them out with Mycosynth Lattice!
Nice, another veeedeo
Finally something new from my favorite legacy player!!
Thanks Mengu!
anew

........................... that first game was amazing.
Legacy veedeeo! Thank you Dr. Mengucci
☑️ LEGACY
☑️ VEEDEEO
Been missing this so much
Lose life rounded up is the bad way. 1/2 of 1 is .5 and .5 rounded up is 1 which means you lose 1 life.
Rounds up for cards too though, right? “Each time”

Wiener Person ooh, didn’t think about that
12:11 Nah they didn't have coloured artifacts in Mirrodin. Those first appeared (like many things) in Future Sight.
at 28:53 you can just go get another citadel to cast off the LED with karn that mostly plays around them having a way to kill karn
Good call I didnt think about that! 👏
I thought about getting a lattice with Karn and casting it off the LED, but on the following turn I think (~33min)
drawing that fourth Karn against Meddling Mage....
Tbh, I just came to watch the first game since it said on instagram turn 1 kill on the first game, and it didn't disappoint
Such a cool deck!

Oh, and having three grave titans in my side bird won me more than a match.
But this was all before the 7 mana draw 20 lol

this is exactly what Mengu said...
its been said already but holy fuck
Hey, why do MTGO videos sound different? I mean, Andrea's voice sounds different than in his streams.
MTGArena rigs my cards and changes my voice. On MTGO I’m the true myself!
@@AndreaMengucci facts!
that game 1 lmao
Maxing out on Karn, citadel, *and* peer seems a little heavy on the ad nauseum effects, no?
I'm so mad at M1G1, that was RIDICULOUS to see lol Good plays
Edit: I'm even MORE mad at M1G2, a turn 3 Mycosynth lock? Yuck
Wow, this deck is sweeeeeet
This deck looks sweet
Not seen yet, but the presence of Peer into the Abyss is sufficient for preemptive like
What a flavor WIN!
The energy of Legacy veedo Mengu is so different from the energy of stream Mengu
half of 1 is .5 so rounded up that's 1 so you would die :)
Sweet deck, but I don't get why you Karn'd for Vault of Whispers after pitching a Cabal Ritual and letting him kill your Karn.
Just started the veeedeo and BAM opponents toast....😅
how did opponent guess lotus petal G1? that was too much

Stavros - Stylianos Raptarchis yeah but G1 blind naming lotus petal to me seems bonkers.
Why didnt you take a screenshot with 4 karns and a meddling mage out? Much better social media material than the first ss
I did! Don’t you follow me on Twitter? 😡
