Nope, you can't compare a youth tournament to senior level. Only Vela, Moreno, and maybe even Giovanni stood out and became important players. The rest had average to decent careers at best

This was a good achievement for Mexico. Moreno, Vela , and Dos Santos are the only players that made it. The rest failed to live up to the expectations. What a shame. :/

Yeahp, it's such a shame that players like Villaluz, Esparza, Araujo and even Ever Guzmán, didn't make it... In some cases it was because of the lack of chances for the young footballers in México (such a disappointing reality). In other cases it was because the young players couldn't keep the level they showed at that U-17 World Cup
When the 2018 World Cup comes, Mexican players like Guardado, Vela, Dos Santos, Moreno, etc, are going to be in their late 20`s and early 30`s, so its going to be a very good international team!

There is no doubt that Mexico is growing a lot in soccer the problem is that young players don't have opportunity with the first team and that's why they are not as succesfull as the younger teams!
