I had to laugh. A neighbor is getting rid of his old junk. I got two car radios and a box of tools. The tools alone at a pawn shop are close to 3 bucks.
Hey Ik you hate them but I think it would be cool if you did a whole day morning to night of getting cans and see how many totes / runs to the scrap yard and the price
ppl need to humble themselves and educate themselves on stuff like this, in my neighborhood were on an island and pwoplw pay the dump to take this stuff. youre doing the lords work brother
Once I stacked my truck with metal and batteries and I got 65 bucks. Was it worth the effort? Yes, if you don't have anything else to do. I wrk next to an auto shop so they let me have their trash. Plus he pays me to cut the grass so it's a decent deal I've worked out
I think you should stop scavenging for now. And organize, clean, strip, and make order out of your chaotic storage units and film it all. Buy a stripping machine and maximize all your tin, brass, copper, aluminum, cast iron.....etc. And film it all. One unit at a time. I bet all of your subscribers would like that. I knew I would. Anyway thank you for the wonderful video again. I watch them all. I rarely comment, but I am a subscriber and watch your videos.
10:15 but since scrap is the lowest value you can get for things, it would make sense to give things a week or two on Craigslist before scrapping them. You'd end up getting more money in the end as long as any of it sells.
Tip: Bottom cut off one bin inserted in the other bin on bottom (still with bottom.) Only take off few inches at bottom, mold together with torch or heating element. Now you have an extended storage unit on your moped
I was at a auto wrecking yard today Which is back to back with a metal scrap yard That had 4 cranes going at the same time And 2 huge belts going into a building The city is well known as a steel town But they also do asphalt And great lake shipping...Longer story short I could not believe the smell And choked up 8 hrs later i can still smell it ..Be happy your dropping off metal and not smelting it lol
Hey Vulture, we have 2 active scrap yards in our town and you're right, one of them only pays 15 cents per pound for #2 insulated wire, the other one, 30 cents per pound. Why are our prices so different, we live in the same state, you get alot more for your wire!
VV Love the videos and as for what, or how you should do it is pretty simple. Do things as you have or enjoy doing them, I for one think you have a great outlook on life and a kind person. Don't change a thing, as long as you love the life you live, and love what you do, that's all that counts. Happiness is a rare, and hard to find in ones life, if you can wake up each day and laugh, or smile, and enjoy life then you have more riches than most. Peace...out.
Judging by the amount of scrap you had there you can get 10 times the amount with a small pick up, which roughly is 100- 150 bucks. That's an honest days income if you ask me.👍
Usually when sellling material like aluminum a 5% contamination rate is accepted so The screw on that red pot should be fine if you have a decent size tub if the stuff
I go to three different scrap yards, some buy stuff that others dont,I try to sell all my none ferrous at the same place once you get to know the workers they will usually let you slide o some stuff
Striping cords for bright copper and hold on to it because they're using less copper in motors and in a lot of stuff soon Copper will spike and you cash in $$$
oh boy you found a ninja base! I reckon that would have gone for $$ on ebay. If you get a smartphone (even a cheap tracfone will work) you can snap a photo of stuff in your storage unit and post on ebay with the app. Just keep a bin labeled ebay in your unit.. list under parts and repair like you mentioned. If it were me.. I would just put up sturdy shelving in one unit and use the cheap totes you find to organize/store stuff on the shelves. That way you only invest in shelving one time instead of paying for multiple units all the time. :) Even if you don't organize the scrap (i wouldn't if i were you), the shelving will create more vertical space for you to utilize. p.s. don't take negative comments so seriously...it will eat you alive.... just delete them...bizzie lizzie or i could moderate for you...
Great Video as usual, You should get yourself a 2 wheel cart that you could take with you then you could pick up more and take more to the scrap yard. By the way, what ever happened to th 5 dollar correct questions video that you had. I know I got 4 correct you said so, and I believe I had at least 2 as first answers. I never got a notification from you even though I did send a email for you to respond to in order to provide you with my address. Hope you read this email. Money goes to feeing ferral cats that I have been feeding for 3 years now. Have a blessed day, Stay safe. God Bless!
I got a few extra dollars from my scrap your way of showing me how to do it yep Gramps off the couch . Ps I have a scoter like you ho do you mont the first basket in place .on the seat frame.
Do you ever sell lithium batteries or odd metals like titanium? Have you considered buying a wire stripper machine to get more out your “meat and potatoes” insulated copper?
Ever tried to put a bucket of the plugs in your freetail store so that type a that want to micro scrap can pull them apart (seeing as the yard don't really want them and your tin price is abysmal)
Another video Also Another Cool Intro. Like The Scrap Yard Runs Like To See How Much You Get 👍 It’s Amazing How Much You Fit into Those Totes . You Do Work Hard For Your Money 👍 Anyway Thanks For Sharing And Have A Great Day😃🛵🐕🐱🐢🐠
My friend was telling me about scrapping, two weeks later I have a backpack full of 19 pounds of different copper wire. Can anybody help me out and explain how to go to the scrap yard and sell my scrap? I don’t have a car so I ride my bike everywhere. There’s a scrap yard two blocks from my house so I could walk there easily. What do I do when I go in? Is it even worth bringing 19 pounds of insulated wire?? Do I have to cut off the plugs and separate all the wires? Will they help me separate them?? All the wire I have is of different thicknesses and types. I’m scared kind of because the my dad would go to the scrap yard when I was a kid and when I would come with everyone seemed really scetchy and angry, like if you didn’t know what to do everyone would be yelling at you to hurry up and move out of the way and it would be extremely loud and hard to hear. I just have completely no idea how to do it. I went on my local yards website and they have a list of what they take and their prices but no information on where to go or how to do everything.
why don't you sort it be for you go to the yard you lose out in the long run say you have 1 and 3/4 pounds off brass it only weights in at 1 pound so you give them 3/4 off a pound you better saving it up and take it in when you have a good load
So if i invest in a van and then buy totalled cars online pull all the parts out and sell them to a scrap yard, would it be a good idea It is thousands of pounds of metal 🤔
thanks for watching!
I think you should get a trailer, just for scrap yard runs! Save you a lot of trips !
Thanks nice vids you have i hope in the vid future you buy a trailer behind scooter👍

VidVulture Can you see how much extruded aluminium you can find in one run and then see it's value at the scrappers.
I was just thinking, man i cant scrap, I don't have a truck - and dude is out there on a scooter. Right on man! A-level hustle.
ppl need to humble themselves and educate themselves on stuff like this, in my neighborhood were on an island and pwoplw pay the dump to take this stuff. youre doing the lords work brother

R.I.P. little turquoise pan set! Lol!
I would have sold those on Craigslist.
Wow that ninga blender was worth over 150$ and you just scrapped it for a few cents.
Right not the smartest tool in the shed.

too much work.

Interesting approach is to sort scrap at the junkyard. 👍
If you remove all the motors from all your scrap and put them in a bucket or another box you might get a lot more money

Woah $15.63 for the day score! You're going to be upgrading from that scooter to a truck in no time at that rate!

Your kind advice just made my Day go by, word of wisdom is food for thought.
I'm cashing in
Nice vid, have you considered making a trailer for your scooter. Lots more scrap

"For the company."
- lethal company.
what I do with plugs like those Is cut or pull the brass out and sell the rest as a #3 insulated wire as the copper content ratio is about the same
I go to three different scrap yards, some buy stuff that others dont,I try to sell all my none ferrous at the same place once you get to know the workers they will usually let you slide o some stuff

@CYRUS DAWSON exactly stoking up🤙🏻
@CYRUS DAWSON us, too!
If they are using less, wont the price for it go down? I’m hoarding it none the less
@@nateallen1769 I think it will go up cause aluminum is replacing cause copper is about to take off just my two cents
@CYRUS DAWSON I just have a couple piles going outside.. will move inside a shed soon.. so nobody complains.. haha.. we are in the country though

Will you be replying to this comment or just a thumbs up? I pegged you for an honest guy. Hope you don't make me think otherwise.
Good simple stuff
Your intro is dope!
Forever wishing the nearest scrap yard was less than 40 miles away.
Good video sir ✌🏼
Love the vids, brah... I hope you keep it up. Peace
Right now in Alberta copper is $4.90 a pound for #2 and tin is 180 a ton we are about to sell 1000 plus tons of tin
Ty for vid. Where did u learn how to scrap...did someone teach u or u taught yourself?
I do scrapping for my dad alot i get the most money off of abundance of cans and copper.
Oh no! There go the pretty blue pots/pans! . . . BTW, have you checked your robinhood account lately? I'm doing really well.
Would you make more from the copper wire if you burnt the plastic off and sold it as dirty copper instead of pvc cable?
Never burn the rubber off of cords and wires unless you want to create a mini ecological disaster, just strip the wire with a machine or knife
I got a few extra dollars from my scrap your way of showing me how to do it yep Gramps off the couch . Ps I have a scoter like you ho do you mont the first basket in place .on the seat frame.

3:17 minecraft gravel dig
You should clean more and do it at home. American prices are a real rip off. Cable in Europe goes 2,15€ for example.

Just walk in, see what happens. Tell them you’re new to this.
Brought 100 pounds of range brass to the recycle place
They subtracted 30 pounds ,ended up with about 27$
Not worth it !
How much is 10 kg of scrap iron in the USA? Abi
Score☉👍
are the prices for kg or pounds
He sounds like a SOUTH PARK character...
Just think of how much more money you could make if you actually took the time to clean your scrap
Do I need a license to do this? What is needed?
nope. all u need is metal to sell
why don't you sort it be for you go to the yard you lose out in the long run say you have 1 and 3/4 pounds off brass it only weights in at 1 pound so you give them 3/4 off a pound you better saving it up and take it in when you have a good load
All that time for $15? I have better things to do with my time
congratulations
👌💪
you have to dismantle your stuff that you gonna brought to the junk yard.
Take the brass off of the plugs!!!!!
SAVE PLUGS THEY ARE BRASS , all that wire is not 50% lucky you get that price on it
That's a honda civic radiator
bro you can get rich off scrapping,
Now buy lottery tickets 🤑 💰 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
👍
Those prices are horrible
So if i invest in a van and then buy totalled cars online pull all the parts out and sell them to a scrap yard, would it be a good idea
It is thousands of pounds of metal 🤔
Scraps really low her there screwing u hard. Rotors are more like $3 a piece
instructions unclear im on debt
All that time for $15
Long video, little info
Goof...
If you had stripped the copper, even as copper number 2 you would have got $30 just for the. Copper.
