1- are their enough petrol pumps available on road ?
2- is their any hotel sideby on road after crossing al batha, i mean close to border ?
After u leave bathah, you will get the next petrol pump in the next 300km only in oman road. Im not sure you will get a proper hotel near bathah, you may get furnished apartments in petrol pumps near bathah.
No rest areas or hotels only you will find 1petrol pump ⛽ after 250km but do keep 1 extra petrol can with you before turning to Empty Quarters ( Sabha)

yes it's simple you must have your valid iqama with you and Passport also make exit re-entry before going. You will cross saudi border just sitting in the car. After crossing the border you will see a big building on right make you car insurance there 150Sr after that go to the Omani border park you car go inside the omani immigration building fill up the fourm pay the fee which is 50SR per person by visa or mada credit cards ONLY they won't tak cash. That's it you are done good to go.
No need to take currency saudi Riyals works every where. Good luck

If the vehicle is owned by you, there is only required the registration card. If a rented car or vehicle is under installment, you should take an international authorization for GCC countries from your rental agency or financing agent.

simcard cityil thanne povanam, it will cost 150 dirham for limited gb and calls. Or you can activate roaming packages on your saudi sim. It cost 279 for unlimited data and calls for one week
Yes sure you can use your saudi debit or credit card in uae. Withdrawing money will charge you 25 riyadh per withdrawal

@@tosuhag @mohammed suhag that was a great info, we didn't tried that, coz we are traveling through a no man land all the way to the boarder, so of they didn't allow, we couldn't took a chance. Coz it was costing only 2600 indian rupees for the 10 days oman visit visa.
