If you’d like to see these in a build check out this camp I did a while back: Fallout 76 Camp Builds - Cozy Modern Bungalow! th-cam.com/video/xczUp3jK114/w-d-xo.html Also be on the lookout for my next upload where these stairs will be showcased again! Happy Building!
Great tutorial and also a great idea. I have offset stairways, floated them, moved them to the corner of a foundation and lots of other variations, but I honestly just never thought to do it quite this way. I really like it. I can see how this would be very useful in a lot of different builds and you could achieve a lot of different looks by using the different stairways. Again great idea. I love seeing what other builders come up with. I am now subscribed. Thanks for sharing this technique
Thank you! I use cat walks for offsetting a lot but for this I found it very easy doing it this way, and it also shows anyone who doesn’t have the catwalks that they can also do it 😀
Unfortunately I believe this has been patched. Real bummer as I spent the better half of my evening trying to get the stairs right to really perfect the new base :(
@Galactic Builds ,The part I have difficulty with is the removal of both temporary floors on the right to place the wall on the left. The game tells me that since they support a structure, they can not be moved. Any suggestions would be amazing. Thanks!
@@feva7548 Make sure your stairs are snapped to the front floor piece, not the floor pieces used to place the walls, and make sure your walls are door ways and it should then let you remove your floors! Also not sure if you listened to to audio in the video - but I mentioned this entire trick should be one of the first things you do in a build just to keep other things from getting in the way! Hope this helps! 😊
I can help! Here’s some tips I have: Lining up the foundation to place the walls just right can take a little bit of time at first, so if it’s your first time trying this take your time with it. The stairs may not have enough room to snap back in place if the walls are placed too close so you may have to take the walls down and scoot the foundation out a bit then replace the walls. Let me know what exactly you’re having issues with and I’ll be happy to help more!
There’s a way to freely place stairs/walls using a blueprint, but I honestly don’t like it. It’s super frustrating 😅 Mr. Church did a video on it but did not mention how frustrating and challenging it is to work with. I’ll stick to my foundation maneuvering as it just works way easier for me lol

Awesome idea! I feel like its rare these days to see a new technique in Camp building.
Thank you! It really is I agree!
I’ve used the vault scaffolding to achieve this and it lines stuff up nicely.
That’s definitely another way to do it but this way is pretty easy too and it’s available for all players to try who may not have those!
Love this idea Galactic! 👌🏼
Thank you! 😊
This is such a neat trick, i love it!
Thank you! 😊
Ah thx Galactic, I once spent way longer than i care to admit back in the day trying to do something like this 😂
Very welcome! 😀
Awesome trick - especially for builders like me who only have the base stair set ☺️
Yay! That’s definitely my hope is to show that you don’t need anything too special to create nice things!
I love how innovative you are. Really clever ideas in all of your camp builds. Thank you for sharing this technique with us!!
Thanks so much MC! 😀

Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Nice you should be able to offset the foundations easier with the catwalks so you don't have to worry about it being lined up

This is so neat! What a clever idea Galactic! Cheers for sharing this with us 😊 might have to use this at some point
Thank you Milney! 😀

Vaya trucazo. Muchas gracias

Awesome but can't be done anymore from ym knowledge after they decided to nerf floating walls and what not
I can't get it to work :(

I wish I would’ve read the comments before re-doing my camp cause this definitely has been patched 🥲🥲
If only floors would snap to walls, then it wouldn't be such a pain in the ass to have stairs where we want them.

Oh, I put stairs up against walls all the time. I just hate having to need a stair somewhere to make the upper floors.
@@James_Bee True, would be nice to have a way of placing them without the dang stairs!
