The mixture of elder and youth , the mixture of experience and talent and athleticism on this team was amazing , guys who could pass shoot dunk play defense was truly something to watch , i really believe they couldve won it all , if they won game 1 against indiana it wouldve been them in the ecf facing the heat , seeing how we are now with only 14 wins through 70+ games , I truly miss this team.
Fuck bro I wish I seen this comment four years earlier. Mike woodson coached horribly in that game six in indiana we had soo much depth... chris copeland iman shumpert were hot in that game.. roy hibbert was dominating and he never used marcus camby at all for defense or rebounding just stuck to an injured tyson and overrmatched kenyon martin.. damn man we shouldve gotten to Miami on Tnt that wouldve been an EPIC matchup for years and years to remember.. Melo was ready.. Mike woodson wasnt smh
The Ball Movement is this game was great, they drive and kicked to open 3 point shooters, and they were constantly moving the ball sacrificing good shots for great shots, a offense similar to the Spurs. If the knicks played like this most of the time they would have achieved way more over the last 2 years.
Sam C Yep. I remember that iso ball ended up killing us in the 2013 playoffs. Too much of our offense was coming from isolation Bball. And that isnt efficient offense when you have to go up against the defense of the Celtics and the Pacers.
I remember this game because this was around Hurricane Sandy and i had no power, but I checked my phone and saw they blew Miami out, and that led to continued success for the Knicks that year. I miss this Knick team
I loved this team 54 wins Atlantic Division title Melo scoring champ JR Sixth Man of the year as a Knick fan this goes alongside 1992-93 1993-94 1999 Steve Novak power shit right
my favorite knick roster for modern era. =( Novak, Melo Kidd chandler felton pablo copeland J.R Iman And some that I forgo to mention It was raining threes back then
this was right after Sandy hit NJ/NYC, they were considering postponing this game at the time..... i remember going through personal shit along with the storm and chaos it brought to the tri-state..... We needed this win at the time to boast our morale as a region that was just devastated and they pulled through
I remember Glen Grunwald putting this team together and right after this season is when Dolan fired him. I couldn't comprehend what the hell just happened. It was all downhill after that. Thanks Dolan
yoo the best 3pt shooting team n the nba at this time add the 3pt shooters on this roster and some off the defensive players the knicks have now with kp and double a we would be so elite to bad we dnt have the money tho oh this is posten in 2016
Still WONDERING WHY... WHY NOBODY IS GIVING KIDD THE CREDIT? His influence to move the ball trickled down.. Too bad Woody had no idea wtf he was doing.. Kidd wanted to make the knicks uptempo and Woody wanted ISO SMH..
Sheed was huge for that team before he went down. Game them legit size, offense and defense on the block. As soon as he went down, the Knicks went into struggle mode for like 40 games, then didn't get back on track until they picked up K-Mart who filled that same role well enough for their system to flow like they needed.
Starting to think Jason Kidd was the key to this team looking good. Once he left, they became a laughingstock again. Not a coincidence a Bucks team with 15 wins made it to the playoffs the following season with him as the coach.
Three years later, Melo's the last player on this team. Dolan and Jackson are the biggest idiots ever. We had a team and they completely dismantled it!!!!!!!!
This was my favorite season and roster. I miss novak and everybody else. The only brightspot today is kristaps porzingus but we wasted so much time to get lucky. I remember watching this game on tv during hurricane sandy. I was high as a kite. Lol. Dolan is a big time fool all we needed was a pg who could donwhat felton can do but also play defense and we got that when linsanity came to town but dolan didn't give hime the 4 years he asked for which was truly astonishing.
im a die hard knicks fan and if the Knicks should have played like that in this season the knicks should have gone to the eastern conference finals they could beat Indiana in the first round and beat Washington and beat Miami by a sweep, those knicks had a lot of opportunities. i think if ama`re had been in last post season they could have gone to the eastern conference finals im pretty sure.
If the Knicks would have put the Celtics away quicker in the 1st round they would have had more gas for the Pacers. They may have still lost but maybe not. Oh well.
That game against the Pacers when fucking KR Smith threw the ball out of bounds and that block against melo that destroyed the Knicks confidence... still haunts me.
Stern Stop that early... He did not want NY getting nowhere near Miami.. and Yes they would've mashed on Miami. The were Designed to do just this to them.
they could've won the whole freaking thing with this ball movement but no they went right back to melo isolation in the playoffs and smith and chandler sucked
Heyyy it's me Yungd Glad you said that. I was going to start a thread over at Obglobal about just that. NBA is rigged. The Heat is marketable, so right now, only the Heat is going to win. And what you said is true. The Knicks were getting disobedient. On top of that they were good, and clearly outclassed the Heat. baseballfan1121 Blame James Dolan. All he wants is money and no talent.
Fuck bro I wish I seen this comment four years earlier. i missed these new york knicks :-(
I hear you man. I fell off my chair watching this game..
+Ezemdi Chikwendu 2012 and 2013 was an amazing year for me and for sports but now god damn knicks suck so much
Maybe we will see a comeback 10 years later
The 2012-13 New York Knicks are one of my favorite teams ever
THIS TEAM ALSO SAVED MY LIFE
The Ball Movement is this game was great, they drive and kicked to open 3 point shooters, and they were constantly moving the ball sacrificing good shots for great shots, a offense similar to the Spurs. If the knicks played like this most of the time they would have achieved way more over the last 2 years.

This was right after Hurricane Sandy, I remember hooking the TV up to the generator so I could watch this game
"He shouldn't even have to shoot it, they should just have counted" can't agree more LOL
I remember the Melo knicks era the most fun one to watch
I loved this team
i miss these knicks
such a great passing team.... this is how they gotta play
I remember this game because this was around Hurricane Sandy and i had no power, but I checked my phone and saw they blew Miami out, and that led to continued success for the Knicks that year. I miss this Knick team

Threeeeeee point ballll...haha...the PA guy was getting tired as the game went on. Can't wait for the season to start!
definitely lol
my favorite knick roster for modern era. =(
Novak,
Melo
Kidd
chandler
felton
pablo
copeland
J.R
Iman
And some that I forgo to mention
It was raining threes back then
+Keith Andy And Melo's tjhe last guy from this team. Dolan and Phil ruined everything
+Gameshowboy 92 they did fucked up the knicks
with amare...
Fuck dolan. Scumbag shouldve traded amare for corey brewer or jeremy lin.
I miss this Knicks team so much
These Knicks were the only team to beat Miami that year. If only the Knicks defeated the Pacers in the playoffs that year......
It's scripted the NBA knew the Heat wouldn't have stood a chance against them
GwopGangPlow EXACTLY
GwopGangPlow exactly
But then the knicks would still have to have face the Spurs
@@nastynas7 OKC actually made the finals that year
That was a very talented Knick team that year
Just watching this makes me miss these connections... Raymond and Chandler, JR and Novak... Miss this season
Threeeeeeeeeeeee point goooooooalllll! Mike Walczewski - Best PA announcer in the NBA.
It's not but ok
miss u guys so much man :( :( :(
I miss this team so much 2012-2013 New York Knicks
This is the best Knicks in 15 years.
+Peixiu Jiang And Jackson dismantled it.....
Jackson sucks. I hate him.
+Gameshowboy 92 no he didn't. The veterans left after this season and they were 21-40 the next season when Jackson arrived
crazyman9711 but finally 37-45
this was right after Sandy hit NJ/NYC, they were considering postponing this game at the time..... i remember going through personal shit along with the storm and chaos it brought to the tri-state..... We needed this win at the time to boast our morale as a region that was just devastated and they pulled through
Threeeeee Pointbaaaall .... Steeevee NOVAK!
Damn that team was loaded!!
Beautiful ball movement.
Right roster for Melo chemistry.
I miss this squad so much for real 54 wins that year
This was fun to watch both live 6 days ago and here today.
Its sad how little respect the Knicks got after they destroyed the Heat.
I remember Glen Grunwald putting this team together and right after this season is when Dolan fired him. I couldn't comprehend what the hell just happened. It was all downhill after that. Thanks Dolan
FG Donnie Walsh also gets credit too. Once Dolan forced him to get Melo he quit the team. Dolan cares about money than the Knicks.
Carmelo is turnin into a bomb
I was at this game man...best moment for me was that sheed 3 lol the garden was wild
this is exactly what new york needed especially during that time
Loved this game
Laker fan, but when the knicks play like that. its fun to watch
The time where the Knicks where a great team. And not struggling to make the play-in.
yoo the best 3pt shooting team n the nba at this time add the 3pt shooters on this roster and some off the defensive players the knicks have now with kp and double a we would be so elite to bad we dnt have the money tho oh this is posten in 2016

SDS Overfiend you sound stupid they won 54 games under Woodson
Why did youtube recommend this to me? It hurts. I miss this team so damn much
Sheed was huge for that team before he went down. Game them legit size, offense and defense on the block. As soon as he went down, the Knicks went into struggle mode for like 40 games, then didn't get back on track until they picked up K-Mart who filled that same role well enough for their system to flow like they needed.
Carmelo An....thony!!!!
i went crazy when i saw sheed hit that three
Novak bringing back shades of Hubert Davis.
this shit was crazy!!!!!...specially when sheed hit his first three as a knick
They were like the next 1994 knicks
Hard to believe Felton used to be slidin like that 😂
Only real Knicks fans remember Steve Novak
This team could never adcance deep enough into the playoffs... They need more than isos and 3 point shooting.
we had a sqaud last year
Ball don't lie.
4:10 this is who started the three to the dome
Remember when this was called a "fluke"? It took almost 2 months into the season for the knicks to get their due for how great theyve been playing.
They were a good team and the management destroyed them during that summer.
Starting to think Jason Kidd was the key to this team looking good. Once he left, they became a laughingstock again. Not a coincidence a Bucks team with 15 wins made it to the playoffs the following season with him as the coach.
gorrow1990 Getting rid of Novak for Andrea Baloney made the Knicks the laughingstock again. James Dolan doesn't give two shits about the Knicks.
Novacaine with the discount double check
This was the year, if we beat Indiana, we'd crush the Heat like we did all year
RASSSSHHEEEEEED WALLACE!!!
Three years later, Melo's the last player on this team. Dolan and Jackson are the biggest idiots ever. We had a team and they completely dismantled it!!!!!!!!
We were also really old
This was my favorite season and roster. I miss novak and everybody else. The only brightspot today is kristaps porzingus but we wasted so much time to get lucky. lin wasn't that great of a defender tough
im a die hard knicks fan and if the Knicks should have played like that in this season the knicks should have gone to the eastern conference finals they could beat Indiana in the first round and beat Washington and beat Miami by a sweep, those knicks had a lot of opportunities. i think if ama`re had been in last post season they could have gone to the eastern conference finals im pretty sure.
In chris smoove's words, "Splash!"
True. They still need different ways to score though. Teams that rely on 3 point shooting never make it far.
Golden state????
This team SMH dam should've been in the finals
All those splashes cooled down the Heat! LOLLLLL
Why can't ESPN go back to this.
Too focused on politics and what LeBron ate for breakfast.
i know the commentator was sayin *aww here we go (swish) THREE POINTER KNICKS TEAM!!*
i was at this game ahhhhh
If the Knicks would have put the Celtics away quicker in the 1st round they would have had more gas for the Pacers. They may have still lost but maybe not. Oh well.
ElFrawggito they would have won obviously. Game 6 in Indiana was fixed

me7o is the best!!!!
Spurs play like this against the Heat yesterday ;)
knicks won 3/4 games in the season, so it couldn't possibly be all die by 3 games
Threeeeeeeee point balllllllllll Steveeee Novak!!! Im gonna miss him but my knicks got better players
I was deaf from the screaming at the game.
I would've quit when Ronnie Brewer hit a 3
man if tha knicks can do this to Miami I can see tha streak ending soon that's fareal
RASHEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow I miss this team. Would have gotten even further with a coach who knows what hes doing.
3:39 Steeeevee... NOVAK
This game was incredible but the truth is, you live by the 3, you die by the 3
Shit was marvelous.... And to prove it wasn't a fluke.. the Went to south Beach and made it rain.
thats wen they were actually good
Man they torched the Heat. Lol.
For a second I thought I clicked on a MyTeam video.
if the knicks would have beat the pacers i think they could have beat the heat and eventually won the championship
That game against the Pacers when fucking KR Smith threw the ball out of bounds and that block against melo that destroyed the Knicks confidence... still haunts me.
ok melo
What's happened to this team?
2:17 Don't tie your shoes on offense Number 40
NOVACAINEEEEEE DAYS
Wait the Knicks did this?
sad truth :(
only thing that died that day were the heat
it was also injuries but i felt like kicking tyson chandler in front of a freight train
All those threes, yet no trophy to show for it. hahaha.
Stern Stop that early... He did not want NY getting nowhere near Miami.. and Yes they would've mashed on Miami. The were Designed to do just this to them.
unfortunately, that all changed in the playoffs...
they could've won the whole freaking thing with this ball movement but no they went right back to melo isolation in the playoffs and smith and chandler sucked
Ha gay!!!!...j.k that's actually pretty amazing.
I am going to have to disagree with that.
Heyyy it's me Yungd
Glad you said that. I was going to start a thread over at Obglobal about just that.
