I'm very grateful to my aunt because I can actually go back the 7 generations and list them by name (at least on her side of the bloodline). My maternal grandmother was adopted but she's actually rediscovered her birth family so I'll have to talk to her about it. :)
I absolutely LOVE this! I've started Shamanic Journeying this year and I am so blown away by my experiences with my ancestors. I don't have visual journeys, I feel things. Sometimes they don't come but when they do it's physically incredible!! What you said about them holding you up LITERALLY happened to me the other night. So many hands on my back holding and guiding me. The next evening I practiced your cord cutting exercise and was astonished at how much better I felt. I am much more stable and grounded now. I noticed you talk about the 7 generations. First Nations talk about the 7 generations since European contact and the colonization. It’s believe that right now we are in the last generation and right now is the time when our peoples will finally heal and grow and decolonize after years of abuse, like you talk about. Our people are making steps to revitalize our culture and remember our history,no matter how ugly or toxic, and we are coming into a new era of 7 generations, which is really exciting because this could mean my children, and more positives for my children and their future. I'm really glad you addressed this, since it's a super powerful way to heal in a different way. Healing lineage was one of the primary steps that came up when I was seeking to heal from various longstanding ailments & dis-eases in my life about a year ago. It was one of the very 1st things I was led to when I began meditating and it lifted physical manifestations of the pain I was feeling. My family is Jewish, I've seen (and researched) complex traumas passed down since??? I don't think I'll ever be able to heal everything. I've been working on what I can, which includes healing my grandmother's trauma by assisting with energy work and new perspectives to things (famine, great depression, two wars) she has been through in this lifetime.

I often wondered if who I am today was because of who my ancestors where ? A generational thing going way back carried from one family member to another to another to finally manifesting into me. I always had naturally this inner fight to keep going forward in life no matter what confronts me. Thinking about my family members history they went thru wars, the Great depression, etc. They had hard lives, but somehow some way they got thru it. This video affirms it. one of my ancestors was a black woman I don't know if she was a slave but she was here in the states during that time I love tribal believes . I even have tribal tattoos . then I have Celtic women in my ancestors . Its hard to be all them in life I guess that's why I have not found my roots that I want to be because I'm drawn to them all . I guess I do have a little bit of all :nature from my Indiana Ancestors . tribal crafts from my black ancestors and a magical mind from my Celtic ancestors My grand father is the one I most cherish of all and I loved how he lived his life . My grand mother I didn't know well but she gave this feeling mental problems that we can't escape .

Ash McClary I have some experience going to this FC. You would connect with your blood lineage, and eventually you would discover why you were adopted by your foster parents, what the connections are. I need to keep doing my own.
You can connect in with both your blood lineage and also your adopted lineage asking for healing for both lines. Going to the point of separation from your birth mother and healing all the way through to the present day. Definitely imprints can be passed on through adopted family line, good to reconcile all sides with this work. Listen to your inner nudges as to what is appropriate for you :)

Ash McClary I have some experience going to this FC. You would connect with your blood lineage, and eventually you would discover why you were adopted by your foster parents, what the connections are. I need to keep doing my own.
Ash McClary , so are you referring to instances of people that are abandoned/raised adopted?
You can connect in with both your blood lineage and also your adopted lineage asking for healing for both lines. Going to the point of separation from your birth mother and healing all the way through to the present day. Definitely imprints can be passed on through adopted family line, good to reconcile all sides with this work. Listen to your inner nudges as to what is appropriate for you :)
Bridgette, what if you do not know your Grandmother or your lineage? My mother was a child in Germany and records are not available to me.
Just the intention is enough of calling on your mothers lineage going back
