    This is my first time installing a Camaro subframe but the end result turned out great! This can be intimidating at first but put in the time to prep and research how to square it up and you will be fine!

    Man! Your video was a lifesaver! I took my 79 Z28 down to the bare shell years ago and I had NO clue how to go about squaring it. You lost me at the using plumb lines part (I suck at math) but I’m sure if I watch your video 8,000 times I may get it 😅

    nice work Ryan. glad to see it coming together. i have done a few second gen Camaros, as long as the car was not hit in the front end during it previous life, the alignment pins are usually all that is needed. its still good to check the alignment like you did. awesome job.

    Nice Job! 30 years ago when I did my Nova I used the alignment pin and measured to the pinch weld from the frame to center it. Probably not correct but it's been that way every since. No internet back then.

    Ryan, I never knew how meticulous it is to correctly install a front subframe. That’s one of the few things that I’ve never done. I have no doubt whatsoever that you did it correctly! I love the way you do things and it says a lot about your character. You do things like I do because you’re putting your name and your reputation on the job you do. How’s the engine parts coming along?

    Great job as usual! Almost feel asleep watching.... Very relaxing is what I mean.. 😆 Only thing I would have done is sprayed a coat of rust reformer on those metal subframe bushing peices. Or even sprayed a coat of 2k clear, to protect them, or using stainless hardware wherever possible, that's just me. Very detail oriented. Good job with measurements for positioning subframe!! Thank you. PS... Never use pinch welds to raise any car. I suppose in your case, and what you were doing, maybe had no choice.

    • @RyanSampsonRPh
      @RyanSampsonRPh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great ideas! Yeah you are right; I had to use the pinch welds as support for what I was doing (wood was placed under them and no engine saved a ton of weight). Normally I would use the subframe 👍🙂

    If these measurements are off would it cause your car to go down the road crooked ?? Crab walk??

    • @RyanSampsonRPh
      @RyanSampsonRPh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t say from personal experience but I’m sure there’s a good chance it could do that if it is crooked. Your tires will definitely wear uneven and faster than normal since it would be pulling in one direction and you may never be able to get a true alignment on the car at a shop
