Great pike pal,i love the westin lures..i haven't tried the bullteez yet but have to give it a go. I bought the westin platypus today..they are deadly when trolling.
Cheers buddy, yea westin lures are hands down my favourite lures. The BullTeez is great in shallow water, oh the platypus is a great lure man. Iv got the small size for perch a great lure. I may get it in the larger size myself.
Do you mind if I ask you for advice? Here goes.....😁 What type of lures would you recommend for long casting. Im about to hit a large reservoir which requires long casting. I know this as Ive scanned it with bait boat and deeper sonar. I've a few rods geared up for long casting, as well as reels and braid. However when I asked the same question on fb pike groups, no replies?? Tackle shops gave limited advice, as usually long casting is achieved by using specific sea fishing lures, which have limited appeal to pike. What I'm basically asking is what type of pike lures would you recommend fro getting good distance? From personal experience jerk baits are good, but what do you think?
Change of lure did the business 👍 they really grab them soft baits don’t they, Westin lures are great got a few myself really good quality, Really considering a Westin rod as I’m in the market for a new one, I know it’s your first time out with it, but what’s your thoughts? Great vid as always Tight lines brother 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Cheers buddy appreciate it. Yea the change of lure worked out for sure. Yea man only used it the once so far but I was very happy with it iv got some good rods that are very comfortable to fish with and this was the same not heavy and comfortable to cast for hours. I just got myself a diawa totula sv tw 103 to put on it. I'll get out Friday morning to give the whole combo a goid test 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@@mikeoutdoors22 nice one, would you recommend I go for a rod like that as my first baitcaster or would I be smarter going for a say, 10 to 40g setup? Sorry for all the questions ☺️
@@pajnolan4459 no worries buddy here to help if I can. Yea I think a the heavier setup is way easier to use when getting into baitcasters as you have a lot of play with lure size. But saying that if you take your time a light set up is very easy to use to. I might try to do a video on how to use a baitcaster. Iv had a few questions on it lately
Great job man all great lures on there day thanks again looking forward to the next one😊🎣👍
Cheers buddy appreciate it , definitely all great on there day. Tight lines 🎣🎣🎣

The river doesn't look as high as I thought it would be, must get down for a cast soon.
I was thinking the same thing...
It was a lot higher but over the last few days it had dropped and the water clarity is about 18" to 2ft so definitely good enough for a cast buddy.
Definitely worth a cast buddy.
@@mikeoutdoors22 I feel a half day from work coming on....

One of my biggest Pike was caught with a Westin Shad Teez. First cast of the day, lure must have landed right on top of the fish!
ShadTeez definitely my favourite lure of all time hands down 🎣🎣🎣
