Amazing that he thought it was a good idea to submit evidence of HIS bad driving! Too fast & trying to straight over - making the situation worse.
We have to give others a chance to react properly, the object is to avoid incidents!
Eh, may I point out that the Corsa didn't even look right and just pulled out, the dash cam driver had a clear line of sight and a clear roundabout. If you want to get into semantics, they both got to the roundabout at the exact same point.

Jack 30mph is way too fast for a mini roundabout. Especially if visibility is poor for other drivers.
Well said. Too many people approach roundabouts with no consideration for what others can see. They just think "I'm alright Jack" and floor it.

A woman pulled out on me from a give way the other day and forced me to a hard stop. When I politely asked what she was doing and pointed out the Give Way markings her reply was "I've waited long enough. It's my turn now!"
Who's teaching these people to drive? There are no 'turns' at a Give Way. You Give Way. You can't argue with that kind of stupid.
nope, you just have to avoid being in a collision with it. Give people the space they need to fix their mistakes and really keep horn use to a minimum

@@TheCatBilbo the fix is holding back and letting them out isn't it? Realistically the fix is all vehicles are automated. That would reduce traffic, accidents and allow smart motorways to be implemented as they no longer would rely on vehicle operators being smart enough to be able to use them

@@Micko842 ok... so people aren't allowed to make a single mistake? How many mistakes do you make on a daily basis? I'd wager you've gone over the speed limit recently which one could argue using your logic is not being able to drive and you should return your license.
The guys ability to park isn't the issue, the guy needs to wait for him to finish having let him do what he needs to.
@@sirianofmorleyActually if the driver parking their huge lorry.... oh wait it's not a lorry is it..... hadn't forced the cam car to stop then there would have been a collision even though they still had plenty of space and really didn't need to force their vehicle into free flowing vehicles.

@@japsniper1980 No - but it's a stupid speed to be doing on the approach to a roundabout where you can't be seen by joining traffic until the last few yards. That driver coming from the left probably looked, saw nothing, committed to and began their manouevre... and then suddenly saw Jack. Jack doesn't approach roundabouts with care. Don't be like Jack.
@@stonelaughter that's the problem of these small roundabouts. Nothing in the road design makes the traffic slow down and the difference between right of way or not about 1 second. They have none of the advantages of a normal roundabout and none of the advantages of a normal t-junction.
Agree 100%👍. Jack was driving way too fast for the conditions and made no attempt to slow prior to the roundabout. Any collision there would have been his fault.
@@japsniper1980 Approaching a roundabout at 30 in a built up area like that is driving without due care and attention, no matter what the other driver was doing.

I wouldn’t say it looks like he’s speeding. It’s not up to the person approaching to slow down, it’s up to the person pulling out to look and give way to oncoming traffic. Jack could see his right was clear so no need to slow but the person pulling on with Jack to their right needed to look and then stop for Jack.
@@otacon5648 you are 100% wrong and I hope you haven’t got a driving licence, I didn’t say he was speeding I said you’re meant to slow down when approaching a roundabout, the rules for a mini roundabout are just the same as a normal one meaning you can’t just ignore the road markings and straight line the thing.

12:06 Lots of people piling on Karen here when I don't think she really does much wrong. The only real fault is she entered the yellow box before her exit was clear. Given there was space beyond the emerging Nissan for two cars, she was never going to stop in the yellow box and she didn't until the Audi turned across her.
The Audi never indicates so how is she supposed to know they are going to turn. She also starts moving before the Audi shows any indication of turning so the Audi should have given way to her.
Some of you in these comments need to give your head a wobble.

It could be a case of target fixation. You end up aiming for the thing you are trying to avoid, it's very easy to do. But let's be honest, what a moronic place to cross a road.

1:16 thanks Michael for showing us how inpatient a driver you are. Its a disabled spot too so the driver is most likely elderly and needs more time than someone with a boy racer entitled attitude.

Roger - You and many people get that wrong. You can't overtake on SOLID white lined chevrons, but chevrons with BROKEN white lines you can.
No doubt that it was an unnecessary move by the driver, but not illegal
First part of your reply correct. THe second part however (if correct) pulls it back into offence territory. You can use cheverons with broken line boarder if safe to do so and NECESSARY. Given the cammer is catching (just) the car in front and the speed sign on left flashes 30, necessity bar might just be there or at least a in debatable territory.

Ryan, at 9:03, it's pretty obvious that the Nissan was jostling with the lorry in front of you. If Nissan should prevail, you're a bit too close to the lorry for his sharp braking, and if lorry should prevail, Nissan is going to redouble his efforts in front of YOU...
if you want to be an arsehole, then by all means, try to beat him into submission for the fun of it and elbow pass him. If you want to reduce your driving stress, then let him go; there's no need to challenge everyone for road space...

6:47 Following the layout better would make the Mini pull out less of an issue. A sudden change to lane 2 makes the pedestrian dither, they're not sure if you're going to overtake to steam past & not stop.
Yeh. At 6:50 you could fit a bus alongside Keiran. Maybe the Mini assumed he’d take lane 2 of the exit.
Taking the outer curve of the roundabout would be easier if those folks went slower. That or, at their given pace, dig in and hold on - take the right line and don’t cut it straight.
Keiran is yet another one of those entitled weirdo's in a big car yet blames the mini for pulling out on him whilst nearly mowing a pedestrian down.

0:58 This is where you have to hold your position in lane 2 until you're sure you won't cause problems coming back to lane 1. HGV drivers get the cut-in all the time but we shouldn't do it.
It's difficult when someone is right behind you as here & trying to push you nearside, but that's their business. Make sure you & the driver in lane 1 are safe!

What planet do you live on that if think that was a safe manoeuvre? Why should I have to break, why can't the speeding idiot not have used his own breaks and exited behind me? The lane behind me was empty.
@@jamieridler1921 Are we reading the same comment? He didn't mention what the other car did being safe, he's just saying that when there's clearly a danger in front, you can use your brakes to avoid it (instead of actually speeding up)
@FreeHelm I didn't break because initially thought he was just merging in to my lane. Didn't expect him to suddenly slam on to make the exit.
As to speeding up, I was speeding up already as he made his move, I didn't speed up because of him. I was getting up to the 50mph speed limit when he cut me up.

And anyway, YOU are supposed to stop at the Give Way marking - not just drive straight on through and expect everyone else to wait for you because you’re driving too fast !

0:08 there’s a crash on that section of road every other day! There was talks of changing it to a roundabout, because of the amount of incidents there.
That first clip is the notorious Crowland/Thorney junction on the A16 to Spalding aka "Death Road"
Perfectly good footpath in the last clip. And the pedestrian can't even use it. Does make Mr laugh sometimes

5:37 Jack thinking that because he is going straight in at the roundabout that he doesn’t have to use his brakes and speed through it. Other car was in roundabout first fella and as such he doesn’t have to give way to you if you’re not on the roundabout when he enters it
9:30 impatient driver is also sitting in the cycle box. 10:25 in Belfast. The junction of M1 Falls rd and Boucher road, that junction is a total cluster fk at the best of times.

6:35 Phil maybe just back off and let the truck go. You could see a mile off they were pulling out then decide to floor it and get up close to try and put pressure on them. I'll always give truckies far more leeway in these situations as it can be a real pain for them trying to wait for a suitable gap.
He says elsewhere that he was aware of vehicles possibly to his right & didn't want to get side swiped, so moved quickly to get further around. Said the HGV flashed his hazards to acknowledge, so that helps as a 'Thanks, sorry'.
Other cammers would blast the horn & deliberately drive right up - but I don't think Phil was doing that.
