- Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a great and nostalgic game, and finally in 2024 I've achieved the Platinum Trophy. It's meant to be long and quite hard, so let's see how long it will take me to complete three different playthroughs of the game, completed every simulator mission and grab every collectible while playing as Deadpool, Wolverine and all sorts of other Marvel Superheroes!

I have such a soft spot for the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series. The second game is actually what motivated me to learn how to read, as my parents were tired of having to read the text to me. And now I’m an English major lol
haha that’s so cool, I actually have vivid memories of learning what “Secondary” means because of this game!
I've 100% the game many times and oh man the grind is real haha
I can agree that the game it's easier than most say it was, but to be fair, difficulty does affect simulator missions, as I remember both as a kid and young teen being unable to finish Spider-Man's due to Dugan always getting killed before I could take Scorpion out myself. Tried it on easy new game plus and that's how I unlocked the Silver Surfer for the first time. But hey, this old games have such an odd charm with incredible passion behind them. They don't make them like this anymore.
For a first playthrough, you could've done Elektra and Colossus with Deadpool and Wolverine.
This game has a real soft spot in my heart, and I'll always hold it in high praise.
Sad that so few versions have actual Achievements/Trophies. The ones with Achievements are, of course, the X360 and XONE, and the only version to have Trophies is, sadly, the PS4 version, since the PS3 version was released before trophies were implemented.
Would love to see the Platinum for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 also be done by you.

"I found it super easy" so would I on my 3rd playthrough. All the characters on the highest level and on easiest difficulty. Good video. My game glitched on one of levels where the comic book was supposed to appear.

Achievements and trophies really succeeded in making people work for nothing. You used to get rewards in the game for your effort. Now they show up on your profile because the company would rather sell you the rewards. MUA 1 doesn’t really fall into this category as it’s a game before day one patches and microtransactions but to modernize it they added trophies. A useless set of tasks that don’t serve to reward the player at all.

Yes mate! Will definitely be doing one for 2, unsure about 3 though. Obviously there’s no Platinum but I don’t really have the motivation to 100% it, so will either just leave it, or just make a video about my general thoughts on the game.
At the moment I’ve finished the story + the DLC for 3.

Nice video, man. I am curious, my buddy told a long time ago that you could save both Nightcrawler and Jean Grey if Magneto is part of the active team. Is Magneto even in the roster? And does it work like I was told?
Ah no clue bud! Magneto is in the game as DLC but that sounds like a “Mew is under the truck” thing haha!
