Great review! I picked up one of these about a year ago, except it was the Batman & Robin edition. Essentially still new in the box for $36.00. With $13.00 shipping I thought it was a steal. It's a great piece. I like sets like these because they service the figures so nicely as display backdrops. Plus I can rotate the scene when I want to show different figures. I wish Kenner was still around. I think they could be selling these do this day if they wanted to. Thanks for the excellent video.
RobsRogues So very true. The stuff they make today for the Batman movies is so inferior to what Kenner made. It probably explains why I collect these old lines (loose and carded). I have some added pleasure in watching my grandson go nuts over them too, so believe me when I say he WILL have a Kenner Christmas this year. That's about as close as you get to reliving those moments so vividly.
Had this one. Saved my money for weeks to get it as a kid.. Totally worth it, best toy I ever got.. there is one more thing you could do, let the bat hang upside down from the roof with his feet stuck in the brown thingy..
Awesome review Rob. I was never a fan of play sets but it's cool how much detail they added to this thing!! Glad you have it and happy you shared it. Brilliant!
this was 50.00 when it came out in 1993 and my son wanted it so badly. I could not afford it but I made one for him out of cardboard. He helped me. It is one toy I wish I bought it. I loved it too! but we had a great time building one together! He was only about 5 at the time.
this is a favorite piece in my collection. i'm glad i was able to find it for about 30 bucks... the one I real wanted was the other Batman Forever Batcave that they did it was much larger and had a lot of cool parts to it. google it and you can se the difference in the two. it was mad to look like the movie
Rob you forgot the last trick , when your viewing the bat cave , that red waving door is actually a driveway access for the batmobile, thought I add this to the review :)
You ever see the Batcave from the first Batman movie? I had that as a kid was my favourite I got this too but the other one was still my go to Batcave it was bigger from what I remember. Feel your pain with the Alfred figure I always wanted him .
i wanna say i did too originally... but i think my parrents sold it at a yard sale with out me knowing it grrr!.. so i ended up buying this one later on... basically they are all the same
this is my second one. some of my larger toys were left at my parents house when i moved out... i wanted to get them when i had a bigger place, little did i know that they had a garage sale and sold some of them.... so i had to replace it a few years back

does that work with 6" inch figures
+Tim Spore no not really. They could stand next to it. Maybe as a background piece but the figures for this are 3 3/4" so 6" are to big
+RobsRogues Ok thanks because was planning on doing a display with dcuc figures

I guarantee you he'll remember the cardboard one that you two made more than any other he'll ever have. That's an awesome memory for sure.

an excellent playset. I have the one from New Adventures of Batman and Robin.
I just got the animated series one today for 10$ but it's missing a bunch of parts I'm looking for them now
this is similar to the skeleton head inside the pyramid of mumm-ra with the sarcophagus seen between mummified and transformed
Cool review! I´m on my way to make a spanish review of the BTAS one.
