Special thanks for the support of the Hummingbird Spot Members and especially to the Hummingbird Fanatics: Wyatt Doolittle, Amy West, Sharon Tallon, Cynthis Fortner PhD, EJP Campbell, Justine Floresee, wfpa40yt and Patchouli!
I am glad they put the Gondola's in so you could go up there. What an amazing place and I am glad you finally got to see it. As always William's drone footage is unbelievably awesome!
WOW! What a fascinating piece of history. I knew nothing about that wonderful site, but thanks to you Carole, I do now. I'm always amazed with your fearless adventures. I'll say it again...Estas viviendo la vida Carole!! Thank you SO much for your videos!!
Kuélap is probably by favorite site in Peru. It's just massive and perplexing. The circular homes are an enigma. The fact that almost the entire thing is stones is an incredible feat. Everything about it is beautiful. Chachapoyas ftw
The heights are mind-boggling, Carole! The places we see because of your generosity to film them are wonderfully informative. Makes for a birds eye on a big big world! I just got a nice flat screen TV installed which allows me to cast your videos from my dinky phone to the big screen! Wonderful to see the views grand and beautiful! Thank you for your traveling ventures! 😊🌻
What an adventure!...beautiful places and the historical ruins and vistas adds tremenndous value of the show. Thank you for inspiring us to stay physically and mentally strong! Hummingbird Spot is an inpiration any time. Lovely trip
This place reminds me of Great Zimbabwe, except some of these walls at Kuelap seem to have been built using mortar, whereas Great Zimbabwe was built entirely without any mortar.
Hello! how do I know if the mother abandoned its baby hummingbirds? we found the nest with two baby birds 2 days ago. it makes sense how we used to see a hummingbird around this fruit tree of ours. but we noticed we havent seen this hummingbird anymore around the tree since a few days now, maybe 4 days. yesterday the baby birds were opening their mouths as if they are hungry. they are quiet and still have their eyes closed. if we dont see the mother should we feed them some sugar water? maybe the mother feeds them at night? we just want them to grow perfectly fine.
No the mother will not feed them at night. If they have been abandoned (many reasons for this) you need to contact a hummingbird rehabber right away. You can feed them sugar water, but sugar water alone won't help them. It will only give them temporary energy. The mother feeds them tons of insects for protein. I don't know where you are located, but you can contact your local wildlife organization to find a rehabber.
Not known if it's older than the polygonal megalithic sites of peru... Machu Picchu has a megalithic core quite distinct from the much later inca additions using crude rustic inca stonework far far inferior to the ancient megalithic stonework built by the viracochas a complete different caucasian people to the Inca Amerindian tribes...though the royalty of the Inca were tall redhead elongated skulls people from paracus colony of these Caucasus origin people
Bear this in mind, the chachapoyas as described by the spaniard chronicker Sieza de Leon were white people more like nothern european she described them as being talker than the spaniards and had a demeanor of equals to the spaniards, had red and blonde hair and blue eyes, and their tótem figures that are found in cliffs are very similar in form as the eastern Island statues, and as you can see by the estructure of their houses, they resemble a different cultural shapes. Also i have seen pictures of the cherokees in the usa abd they are also white european looking people.
So hilarious, because in EUROPE the rabbit always was eaten, on contrast of America(the whole Continent) where is considered as a pet. Or do you think the rabbits just being fluffy and cute will not be eaten as a dish?

Having already visited Machu Picchu (with you and other friends), this video makes me want to visit these ruins. Thank you for sharing.
The drone shots were breath taking!

So happy that you finally got to go.
I have read books about this place and how they store and eat Guinea Pigs. It was fun to watch a video about this monument in person!💞
