- Here we have yet another encampment cleanup ordered by the city council district. This encampment in particular has been featured on the news several times, and personally I was relieved to see it get cleaned up since it's close to home. Over the past year, the city only allowed sanitation to perform routine "spot" cleanups, where they would only take items that pour out onto the street, hazardous items, and items the homeless would ask to be taken. Now the city is back to full cleanups that take everything, pressure wash the sidewalks, sort out hazardous materials, etc. Don't be fooled when I say everything is taken though, individuals from this encampment were each given a week notice to take what they want to keep, and leave what they don't. After the cleanup was done, they moved right back and it's almost as if nothing happened.
I hope this area stayed clean and hope the city workers I mean the cleaning crew keeps it clean no city should look like this
The city needs to make up a fleet of trucks give them each a area go thru it everyday 7 days a week this way they won’t have a chance to rebuild anything stay two steps in front of them.

@@tomdelvetto9906 these are not sweeps. There encampment clean ups, the homeless comes right back to their spots where they started, after the cleanup is done. It causes trash into the city streets, which causes a hazard. Believe me, LA needs to do better on handling the homeless. The least LA can do is collect the trash on the city streets and sidewalks that are caused by homeless encampments. They also offer shelter to the homeless, some don’t want help. These are not sweeps, it is irresponsible to say these are sweeps.
@@westvalleyrefuse1144 then tell me, why do they destroy their tents and belongings? They could do so much better by just taking what actually is trash, and LA has actually been told to stop doing these but they ignored it, well at least San Francisco does them in a more civilized manner

They should've lots of roll-off trucks and big tall dumpsters to clean all of that up instead of rear loader garbage trucks and 1 wheel loader.

At this rate I might as well as make a copy of each truck I have built on Blender, repaint them, rebrand them, and add a bunch of campaign leaflets alongside "broken promises." I then should email them to every councilman on this disgrace of a city and label it as their official campaign vehicles that reflect what they've accomplished during their tenure. But then again a sophisticated piece of machinery is more what they've ever done.

The streets are clean, and the homeless people are in jail, meaning they're no longer homeless. That's a win win!

Gee, I sure wonder if the council should develop a new strategy and try to find them homes instead of wasting money on trying to sweep their problems under a carpet and hoping they'll magically go away...

And Jake, I got this in my recommendations because I watched videos about street sweepers but I’m pretty sure you looked this up which I don’t want you doing because I care about you (also there are more empty homes in the United States than there are homeless)
Well the city needs to do daily patrols and stay after it. These people are animals and breaking the law. You can be poor but be clean, look at the trash, I would say put the people in the tents in the trash trucks too.
