As a Queenslander he was one bloke who played for New South Wales who I always respected as a genuine origin player. The kind that would knock out 30+ games for Queensland.
He played 2 games at 6 for NSW and won motm in both. I wonder how good he could of been if he stayed at 6. He was a genuine Wally Lewis style 6, size, good ball skills, decent kicking game, good defence and tough as nails. I think NSW missed one there.
