    Thank you SO much, John, for your expertise again! I've had my new Nama J2 for a couple weeks now and I AM IN LOVE!!! Just received the Sorbet screen a couple days ago, so I've got some watermelon, cherries, and mango in the freezer to make my first sorbet. I took your advice about not freezing coconut cream, but with the watermelon, I will let it thaw a bit so it turns into the same consistency as frozen strawberries before putting it in the machine. May try the same with frozen coconut cream... let it get slushy first. Will let you know how it turns out.
    I thoroughly enjoy your videos! (:

    Medical medium doesn't say don't juice other things also, he has recipes for lots of other juicers, just recommends the celery as a daily base. Celery isn't for nutrients as much as the cell salts and what he says it can do in your body, celery being more an herb than a vegitable.

    I've got to admit that I really hate juicing vegetables because the juice tastes to bad. However, my latest foray actually tasted good. Used jicama, celery, cucumbers, carrots, zuccini, apples, and blackberries. IMHO, one needs to add a little fruit to make it drinkable.

    • @catherinebell122

      Simply adding lemon will cut the greens bitter and then apple balances taste.

      Carrots are actually really sweet on their own . That’s my go to but also bc I find it “cleans” the juicer for me so I end with carrots normally add half a lemon remove the pith and skin , that’ll you need unless you don’t like V8 but

    John I currently own an Angel juicer, which takes a lot of time and effort to juice.
    I like the convenience of the Nama J2.
    Can you pkease do a juice off between the Angel juicer and the Nama J2.
    I'm curious which will have the most yeild.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In only RARE exceptions will the Nama J2 beat the Angel in Yield or Nutrition Quality. That being said the Nama J2 we'll WIN in EASE of USE and EASE of cleaning, and take much less effort to juice. It also has a longer warranty (15 years), and better customer service. So each juicer has its own set of pros and cons and you need to determine which features are MOST important to you and which trade-offs you can live with. Here is a video that I talked about it: th-cam.com/video/kvW9oOFJBvA/w-d-xo.html

    John, you are the king of juicer reviews, any chance you could review the new Hurom H400 and the Hurom H320N, as they are the newest batch or self feeding juicers on the market.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At this point the H320N is not available in the USA, and I have heard rumors it may be discontinued. I will test the H400 at some point, but basically looks like the H300 "re-imagined" with a smaller feed chute, and hidden process with smaller built-in pulp catch bin. I was not a fan of the H200 that also had the built-in pulp catch bin.

      Thanks John.
      I currently own a Norwalk Juicer and an Angel juicer, both take so long and require so much effort to juice, I don't use them very much.
      The Angel takes so much physical effort when juicing hard vegetables like carrots and beets, after I try out the J2 I will probably end up selling my Angel which will pay for the J2.
      Today I ordered the Nama J2 because I want to make juice & batch juice with much less effort.
      Since I have the Norwalk, if I find the pulp from the j2 to be too moist, I will press out the pulp with my Norwalk and get all the juice out.
      Keep up the good work my friend.

    a challenging test on your J2...try juicing a few pounds of longevity spinach...take 3 pounds, remove the leaves from the stocks and juice them.....another good test is to filet a bunch of kale leaves...cut up the stems in 2 inch lengths...do the same thing with a bunch of longevity spinach stems, and juice the kale and longevity stems together.. its a juicing experience..
    The taste and texture of the referenced juice...unique..
    The next test...
    We used longevity spinach and celery...that was an experience too...the juice was slightly thinner, and we added the kitchen sink to make it palatable.
    The J2 is a Great juicer...but everything has a technical limit...it was the fiber load that made it a hands on operation.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would recommend cutting stems smaller into 1/2" pieces for best results. Longevity Spinach Juice would be interesting. I never tried it! will be a unique texture.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is on my list to do. It appears to have the same juicing mechanism as the H300 that I have reviewed, and the H310 that I will review next. The H400 has a small built-in catch container like the H200 (that I did not like) and a smaller hopper, which I am not a fan of.

    Hey John What do you think of the beast blender?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not tested. That being said, I am not a fan of ANY blender that is not a vacuum blender, due to nutrient loss, increased dissolved oxygen content which can cause gas/bloating, and better storability.

    John - can you verify this statement I just read please? Have you heard this or seen this happen? " There is a part which is the auger that fits into the hopper the socket Hopper and I found that the pressure from it chopping hard vegetables those two pieces grind up against each other and cause shavings of the metal very fine shavings that ultimately end up in the juice and I am not happy with the company they just replaced the parts without discussing with me that this defect in their product and I'm not the only one who noticed it and I guess it's going to take longer for other people to notice"

    John, have you juiced Jerusalem Artichokes?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว

      YES! I do not recommend it. I had a bumper crop and thought it was a good idea to juice them and drank a quart before an airline flight. Good thing I sat near the bathroom because I was inside the WHOLE flight. Due to their high inulin content, it put me on the toilet. I do not recommend juicing them unless in small quantities. I do however recommend juicing jicama that contains lower amounts of inulin and I have never had issues with it.
